Mumbai: Makers of the upcoming film tentatively titled ‘VD 12’ starring Vijay Deverakonda and Sreeleela unveiled the first poster on social media.
Taking to the official Instagram handle Sithara Entertainments treated fans to the first poster of the film featuring Vijay on the occasion of the actor’s birthday on Tuesday.
The poster showcased a distorted image of Deverakonda’s eyes through a paper shredder.
Sharing the birthday wish for the actor they also captioned the post, “A tale of every spy can end up being a conspiracy theory. But their truth can never be disregarded!”
Reportedly, Vijay will be playing the role of a police officer in the film.
Written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri (of Jersey fame), the film will have music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
The shooting will commence in June. Other details related to the film are still under wraps.
Apart from this Viajy’s first single ‘Na Rojaa Nuvve’ from his upcoming film ‘Kushi’ was released on his birthday.

Hyderabad: Actor Vijay Deverakonda’s next which is tentatively titled ‘VD12’ has officially been launched on Wednesday with a pooja ceremony.
The action thriller film witl be directed by the ‘Jersey’ maker Gowtam Naidu Tinnanuri and also stars Sreeleela, who is known for her work in films such as ‘Kiss’, ‘Pelli SandaD’ and ‘Dhamaka’.
The official Twitter handle of Sithara Entertainments shared a slew of pictures featuring Vijay, Sreeleela, Gowtam and many more. A picture of the film’s clapboard was shared as well.

Excise policy case: Vijay Nair tried to impress K Kavitha…, says ED

New Delhi: Former communication in-charge of AAP, Vijay Nair, tried to impress KCR’s daughter K. Kavitha in the Delhi excise policy case, allegedly to gain their trust and generate kickbacks, the ED has said in the charge sheet, quoting another accused Buchi Babu, former CA of Kavitha.
Buchi Babu in his statement said that in March 2021, accused Arun Pillai and Abhishek had connected with Vijay Nair and Sameer Mahandru on Zoom call in Delhi in respect of the business opportunities in the upcoming Delhi excise policy. Buchi Babu said there was a political understanding between K. Kavitha and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
“Vijay Nair was trying to impress K Kavitha with what he could do in the policy. Vijay Nair was acting on behalf of the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. Vijay Nair was working on the excise policy at their behalf,” ED has said quoting Buchi Babu.
The understanding was that in exchange of the favours that can be done in the policy and in the Delhi liquor business for K Kavitha, some funds would be given to the AAP. Arun Pillai was also closely working with Vijay Nair on the policy discussions. During this entire process, he was only giving his services as a professional and understanding the business opportunities on her behalf along with Arun Pillai.
When ED asked Buchi Babu about having possession of parts of the Group of Ministers (GoM) report in his phone on March, 21 2021, he said that Vijay Nair sent this message to Arun Pillai and him and then he copied this message from his one phone to other phone.
“Vijay Nair sent this message to show that he is getting those changes added in the GoM and the same he had sent to Buchi Babu and Arun,” the ED charge sheet read.
After the meeting that took place in Gauri Apartments in New Delhi, Buchi Babu, Arun and Abhishek met with Vijay Nair and businessman Dinesh Arora at ITC Kohenoor in Hyderabad in June 2021. The meeting was to discuss various issues pertaining to South Group’s engagement in the Delhi liquor business, proposals etc.

Excise policy case: Delhi HC notice to ED in AAP leader Vijay Nair’s bail plea

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) communications in-charge Vijay Nair’s bail plea in connection with the money laundering case related to the Delhi excise policy scam.
Nair was only the media and communications in-charge of the AAP and had no role in the drafting, framing, or implementing of the excise policy in any manner, his counsel argued saying thatA he was being “victimised” for his political background.
After Nair’s counsel’s submissions, Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma issued notice to the ED and listed the matter for the next hearing on May 19.
A Delhi court had, on February 16, denied bail to Nair and four others.
Observing that “allegations are quite serious”, special judge M.K. Nagpal of the Rouse Avenue Court had, apart from Nair, denied bail to Sameer Mahendru, Abhishek Boinpally, Sarath Chandra Reddy, and Benoy Babu.
He held that there is enough incriminating evidence to show the entire “modus operandi” adopted by the accused persons for the commission of offences under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
On the allegations and role of Nair, the court had said, “Though he was only the media and communication in charge of AAP, it has been revealed during the investigation of this case that he was actually representing the AAP and GNCTD in different meetings that took place with the stakeholders in liquor business at different places. His participation in the meetings in this capacity is to be viewed in light of the facts that he was residing in the official accommodation allotted to a senior Minister of the AAP and once he is even alleged to have represented himself as an OSD in the Excise Department of GNCTD and further that none from the Government or AAP officially participated in these meetings.”
