  • School Edu Department To Withhold Salaries Of Teaching Staff Evading ATD-2023

    [ad_1]

SRINAGAR: The School Education Department Tuesday said it will withhold salaries of teaching staff who are evading Annual Transfer Drive 2023 despite having more than three years stay period.

Deputy Secretary to the government has intimated this in a communique to the Director of JK-SCERT, the Director of School Education of both Jammu and Kashmir regions, and Project Director Samagra Shiksha.

According to the official communique, the Deputy Secretary in this regard has sought detail of employees who, despite having mature stay have not applied for the online transfer-2023.

It has also sought detail of surplus or attached employees who have not applied for online transfer-2023.

“Besides, it is also requested not to draw the salary of such eligible employees who fail to apply in online transfer-2023,” the government said.

Pertinently, in the previous week the School Education Department has decided to act tough against the teaching staff that were evading the ATD-2023.

The School Education Department had said that it will likely post those teachers in Zone-IV and V who will have stay of three or more years and are trying to evade transfers under ATD-2023.

Director of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has said that the teachers who have stay of three or more years will have to apply for the transfers

“Some of the teachers who have a stay of three or more years have a concept that they will go unnoticed if they didn’t apply for their transfer but I want to inform those teachers that if they didn’t apply for it, they will definitely get transferred to Zone-IV and V,” DSEJ said.

Earlier, the department in the Annual Transfer Drive announcement has said that eligible employees not applying for transfer despite having a mature stay shall be transferred by the Department anywhere as per the requirement of the Department.

It also said that the preferences for posting shall be that an employee who is working in Zone-I shall opt for Zone- II, III, IV and V. An employee who is working in Zone-II shall opt for Zone- I, III, IV and V. An employee who is working in Zone-III shall opt for Zone-I, II, IV and V. An employee who is working in Zone-IV shall opt for Zone- I, II, III and V. An employee who is working in Zone-V shall opt for Zone- I, II, III and IV.

According to the School Education Department, Zone-I falls within the municipal limit of the district headquarters, Zone-II outside the municipal limit upto 20km from the district headquarter, Zone-III beyond 20km to 40Kms from the district headquarters, Zone-IV beyond 40kms and above from the district headquarter and also where a change of residence is required. In addition, those schools where there is no motorable road and walking distance from the nearest motorable road is 7 KMs or more one way—(KNO)

Telangana: 1442 assistant profs selected for 34 depts in teaching hospitals

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: In the wake of ruling out the shortage of senior faculty in Telangana government medical colleges, the Medical and Health Service Recruitment Board (MHSRB) on Monday released a selection list for 1442 assistant professor posts.

Selected doctors are skilled healthcare professionals who will be joining 34 specialty departments in teaching hospitals, under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME).

“Counseling sessions will be conducted within the next two weeks based on merit, and the selected candidates will receive appointment letters,” said the minister.

Expressing satisfaction over the transparency maintained while carrying out the entire process which also includes undertaking the objections raised by candidates and ensuring deserving candidates were given opportunities, Harish Rao announced that the recruitment process for 5204 staff nurse positions has commenced already.

Hoping that the appointment of new nurses and assistant professors will enhance the quality of medical services provided by the newly formed medical colleges and their respective departments, the minister said that the government’s proactive approach to filling essential medical positions has paved the way for improved healthcare access throughout the state.

  • Why teaching of mathematics is still a big challenge in schools, writes Khurshid Bhat

    [ad_1]

Srinagar: Mathematics has always been a critical subject in our education system and it is an essential component of student learning.Mathematics is an integral part of our daily lives and it is pertinent to problem-solving, quantitative reasoning, and decision-making. However, teaching mathematics remains a big challenge in schools today and there are various reasons behind it.

One of the primary reasons that make teaching mathematics a big challenge in schools is the lack of competent and effective teachers. Although there are many teachers trained to be math instructors, not all of them possess the skills and expertise to deliver effective math lessons. Some teachers themselves find mathematics very challenging and feel uncomfortable teaching math concepts and problems to their students.

Another significant challenge is inadequate instructional materials and resources. There are often not enough textbooks, worked examples and practice materials for mathematics in most schools to help students understand the concepts. The lack of practical materials for students to work with means that they cannot develop their problem-solving and analytical skills fully.

Moreover, the difficulty level of mathematics is another obstacle in teaching mathematics. Mathematics is a subject that requires critical thinking, logical reasoning and continuous practice to understand better. Unfortunately, some students struggle with grasping the basic concepts and applying them to solve problems. This issue is compounded by the fact that in the traditional approach, the subject was taught as a series of rules and procedures, with little emphasis placed on visual representations and real-world applications.

Furthermore, the teaching of mathematics is also influenced by student’s attitudes and cultural background. Some students may have a preconceived idea that mathematics is a difficult subject and that they are not capable of learning it. This kind of negative attitude can result in a lack of interest in the subject, leading to disengagement from class and poor performance.

In conclusion, the teaching of mathematics remains a big challenge in schools, even in today’s era of advanced technology and pedagogy. The factors that contribute to this problem include the lack of qualified teachers, inadequate teaching resources, the difficulty level of mathematical concepts and the students attitude towards the subject. To overcome these challenges,a collaborative effort must be implemented among teachers, students and policymakers to develop effective teaching methodologies and provide the necessary resources to make mathematics education accessible and enjoyable for everyone.By doing so, we can inspire a love for mathematics and equip young minds for a better future.

  • Musk credits father for teaching ‘physics, engineering & construction’

Musk credits father for teaching ‘physics, engineering & construction’

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: Billionaire Elon Musk on Sunday credited his father for teaching fundamentals of “physics, engineering and construction”.

The world’s second richest man said that the teaching of his father Errol Musk, a South African politician, “is more valuable than money”.

Musk, who owns several companies like Twitter, Tesla and SpaceX said that he has not “inherited anything ever from anyone”, quashing the long-running rumour which claims his father owns an emerald mine in South Africa and that he has given him financial assistance.

    MS Education Academy

Errol Musk had previously claimed in an interview that he used emeralds from an “under the table” mine in Zambia to finance his son’s escape from South Africa to America.

Musk said nobody has provided him with “a large financial gift” and that his father did not support him “financially after high school in any meaningful way”.

Instead, Musk and his brother had to financially support their father after his small electrical/mechanical engineering company “fell on hard times”, making him “essentially bankrupt for about 25 years”.

“Our condition of providing him financial support was that he not engage in bad behaviour. Unfortunately, he nonetheless did. There are young children involved, so we continued to provide financial support for their well-being,” Musk said.

He again denied the existence of the emerald mine. Earlier this month, he also tweeted: “I will pay a million Dogecoin for proof of this mine’s existence!”

He noted Errol Musk told him that he owned a share in a mine in Zambia, which he believed “but nobody has ever seen the mine, nor are there any records of its existence”.

“If this mine was real, he would not require financial support from my brother and me”.
