Hyderabad: TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday demanded the state government to immediately cancel ORR tenders.

Addressing a press meet, he said any bank would give Rs 15,000 crore as a loan if the state government pledged the ORR project. He asked the state government as to why it was showing haste in selling government properties. He alleged that the state government had ignored the objections of NHAI over the tenders. He asked the state government how a black listed company got the tender.

He asked CM KCR and state minister KTR as to why they were silent on the issue. He said that they would lodge a complaint on the issue with investigative agencies. He said that the loan of Rs 6696 crores obtained by HMDA had expired on March 31, 2022.

KCR, KTR looting Telangana, says Revanth after being stopped at Secretariat

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: After being denied entry into the newly inaugurated Secretariat here, Congress leader and MP Revanth Reddy accused chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and IT Minister K T Rama Rao (KTR) of looting the people of Telangana.

Earlier in the day, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief was stopped by the Hyderabad police on Monday from entering the building. He was asked to take permission to receive the officials, angering Reddy.

“In the last 20 years, MPs and MLAs were never disallowed to enter the Secretariat. As a Member of Parliament, I have full rights to enter the building. It seems the CM’s lecture about Ambedkar’s theories was just for a day,” Reddy said.

The TPCC chief further said that the leasing of ORR by the government was a big scam. He said the project that would generate Rs 30,000 crore in the next 10 years was leased out for just Rs 7,380 crore.

Reddy made it clear that when the Congress party comes to power, they will bring all corrupt leaders to court.

“We will ensure that every corrupt leader is put behind bars. if required, we will go to the courts to get justice. No one will be spared,” Reddy said.

Revanth slams BJP, BRS over Muslim quota in Telangana

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress president A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday slammed both the BJP-led centre and the BRS-led state government.

His remarks come after union home minister Amit Shah’s recent remarks in Chevella vowing to scrap the Muslim reservation in Telangana just like how the BJP-led state government did in the state of Karnataka.

“BRS cheated in the name of increasing Muslim reservation to 12 per cent from 4, BJP says they will remove even the existing one. It is the Congress who delivered on the Muslim reservation. Muslim brothers have to decide which side they want to go to,” he said.

    MS Education Academy

Backward Muslims in Telangana enjoy 4 per cent reservation in education and jobs. This was introduced by the Congress government in undivided Andhra Pradesh about 15 years ago.

The state’s incumbent Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS)-led government has promised to increase the Muslim quota to 12 per cent. A resolution to this effect was passed in Telangana Assembly and sent to the Centre five years ago but the proposal has been rejected by the BJP-led government.

Hyderabad is a victim of KCR family’s selfishness: Revanth Reddy

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President Revanth Reddy said that Hyderabad city is a victim of Telangana Chief Minister KCR family’s selfishness.

While addressing the public at Gandhi Bhavan, he said, “KCR family will sacrifice the city of Hyderabad for its selfishness. The city of Hyderabad has been destroyed during the 9 years of BRS rule. Even Nizam did not create such destruction in the city of Hyderabad”.

“For a Rs 100 crore property KCR’s family had paid Rs 17 crores. There are special regulations for construction in Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills areas and also near KBR Park. Since these are elevated places, the airport authority’s permission should be taken for the construction so as not to obstruct the flights. Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills have a special natural environment and they enforce special regulations for building constructions there.KBR Park is considered an Eco-Sensitive Zone. That is why there are very few commercial buildings in the vicinity of KBR Park. Only after KCR came to the construction around the park increased,” he added.

    MS Education Academy

Revanth Reddy further alleged that where 5 storeys are not permitted in the KBR Park area permission was given for a 21-storey building.

“There was a heritage building belonging to the Nizam Nawabs near the BC Study Circle on the way to the Cancer Hospital from KBR Park. The building was bought by Kurra Srinivasa Rao’s firm KS&CS Developers. It is alleged that it was demolished against the rules. Our legislator Sampath Kumar said that when this issue was raised during the debate on the Municipal Act in the Assembly, KCR tried to suppress it. According to the previous rules, 1200 yards of this is a green belt. For the remaining 5800 yards, only 60 thousand square feet should be allowed,” he said.

In 2016, the owner KS&CS Developers applied for the construction of the building. Then the BRS leaders threatened and put pressure and 2704 yards of land was written in the name of Namaste Telangana MD and Chairman Damodar Rao. After the government came for the second time in 2019, Srinivasa Rao’s property was transferred. As a result, permission was given for 21 floors whereas per the old rules, no permission was given for a 5-storey building. How was permission given for 21 floors in 3 thousand yards of land?” he added.

He further mentioned that the construction of high-rise buildings near KBR Park will lead to a dangerous situation for the existence of peacocks in the region.

“If such permissions are given within 3 thousand yards, what is the environmental condition of the park? The 21-storey apartment will cause huge traffic problems near KBR Park. There is also a danger to the existence of the national bird peacocks and other birds in the KBR Park due to the gases coming out from the AC’s used by the people living in that building, and the environment may be damaged there,” he said.

TPCC chief Reddy also said that the word robbery falls flat in front of KCR’s robbery.

“I put a challenge before you. Not Rs 17 crores, if I give Rs 40 crores, will KCR give that land? Isn’t this proof that the lands were written off under threat? The word “robbery” falls flat before KCR’s robbery. A new word should be created in the dictionary for them,” he said.

Reddy further mentioned that BRS leaders have caused enough destruction in the city of Hyderabad.

“Minister KTR and his father will do this much destruction together? If people believe you and put the state in your hands, will you do this much destruction? Traffic in the city is due to issuing permits against the rules in the hope of commissions. Why do floods occur only with little rain? The D9 (Dawood 9) gang including KCR, KTR, Somesh Kumar, Arvind Kumar, Jayesh Ranjan, Venkatrami Reddy is causing so much destruction in Hyderabad city. There is no question of leaving anyone behind. This is the culmination of KCR’s wicked rule,” he said.

Revanth Reddy said, “Yesterday when State Congress leaders were holding a silent protest in the State of Telangana over the Surat court sentencing Rahul Gandhi for two years, the senior Congress leader and MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy met PM Modi.”

“It is really very unfortunate, I was surprised by that behaviour and meeting the Prime Minister also. I will take it very seriously and will discuss this issue with the Congress chief Malikarjun Kharge,” added the Telangana Congress president.

Revanth Reddy, other Congress leaders placed under house arrest

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress president A. Revanth Reddy and other party leaders were placed under house arrest on Friday to prevent them from joining a protest at Osmania University over Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) exams question paper leak.

Revanth Reddy was detained at his house in Jubilee Hills ahead of Vidyarthi Nirudyoga Maha Nirasana Deeksha or protest by students and unemployed at Arts College on Osmania University campus. Large number of police personnel were deployed outside his residence and barricades were erected to prevent him from leaving his residence.

The protest was planned by the Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee. Police, however, denied permission for the same.

Police have also placed under house arrest other Congress leaders like Mallu Ravi, Addanki Dayakar and leaders of JAC.

Revanth Reddy took to Twitter to condemn the house arrest. He said instead of sending police to house arrest him, Chief Minister KCR and minister KTR should come forward for a debate on the question paper leak in the presence of Osmania University students.

Revanth Reddy, who is also a Member of Parliament, said: “If CM KCR and KTR have no role in paper leak, they should accept his challenge.”

TPCC spokesman Addanki Dayakar condemned the police action. He alleged that the BRS government was trying to muzzle the voice of opposition. He slammed the government for placing Congress leaders under house arrest for a second consecutive day.

Several Congress leaders were kept under house arrest on Thursday to prevent them from joining Revanth Reddy during the latter’s appearance before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) which is probing the TSPSC paper leak case.

The SIT had summoned Revanth Reddy to provide evidence in support of certain allegations made by him in the paper leak case.

Telangana: Revanth alleges KTR aide’s involvement in TSPSC paper leak

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana unit Congress chief A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday alleged that the personal assistant of state minister for industries and information technology K.T. Rama Rao has played a key role in the question paper leak case that has rocked Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC)

He also alleged that KTR’s PA Tirupati has links with Rajasekhar Reddy, a contract employee of TSPSC and number two accused in the case.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president claimed that the paper leakage happened from KTR’s office.

He said the minister gave Rajasekhar Reddy a job in TSPSC on the recommendation of Tirupati.

Revanth Reddy, who is currently on Haath se haath jodo padyatra, sat on protest in Kamareddy district over the question paper leak.

He demanded the state government should immediately order a probe by a sitting judge of the High Court.

He also announced that he would take the issue of paper leakage to the High Court.

Stating that TSPSC employees are ineligible to attend the exams conducted by TSPSC, he wondered how 20 employees appeared in exams.

Praveen Kumar, an employee of the Commission, had appeared in the Group-I Prelims. He had scored 103 marks.

The Congress leader said in the past, TSPSC employee Rajinikanth was selected for Group-I post. He had secured fourth rank.

Revanth Reddy said that the probe should cover all those who scored more than 100 marks in Group-I Prelims. He said 100 candidates from one mandal scored more than 100 marks.

The TPCC chief said that there were irregularities in Group-I results in 2016. Madhuri, who had come from the US to write the exam, secured first rank, he said.

He also claimed that 25 candidates who wrote Group-II exam in one place secured jobs.

The TSPSC had conducted the examination on March 5 for 833 vacancies of Assistant Engineer, Municipal Assistant Engineer, Technical Officer, and Junior Technical Officer in various engineering departments. A total of 55,000 candidates had written the exam.

However, the Commission suspected leakage of the question paper and lodged a complaint with the police.

On March 13, police arrested nine persons including two employees of the TSPSC.

Following the arrest of the accused, the Commission cancelled the exam and also postponed other exams scheduled to be held later this month.

Amid doubts that the accused may have leaked question papers of some other exams, the Commission on Friday decided to cancel three other exams including Group I Prelims.

Nearly 2.86 lakh aspirants of Group I posts had appeared in Group-I exam conducted on October 16, 2022.

Will construct 100 Ram Temples if we win Telangana elections: Revanth

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress President A Revanth Reddy who is touring the state as part of Congress’ “Haath se Haath Jodo Yatra” announced that if the Congress wins the assembly elections due later this year, the Congress government would take up construction of 100 Rama temples in various assembly constituencies.

He stated that each temple’s construction will be Rs 10 crore.

Addressing a huge public meeting at Ambedkar centre in the Bhadrachalam assembly constituency, Reddy criticised CM KCR for not presenting ‘Mutyala Talambralu’ on behalf of the government on Sri Ram Navami day. He recalled that Bhadradri, which had historically enjoyed the patronage of all previous governments and rulers including the Nizams had been utterly neglected after the TRS (now BRS) government assumed power in the state. He said, KCR not only defrauded the people but also Lord Rama.

Revanth criticised the BJP, and BRS governments for the merger of 7 mandals in Andhra Pradesh, and promised that if Congress forms the government it would take steps to get back the 5 gram panchayats in Telangana by initiating talks with the neighbouring state.

Revanth criticised the Telangana government’s recent decision to divide Bhadrachalam town into three separate panchayats and recalled that the promised Rs 100 crore for the development of the temple town as well as the Rs 1,000 crore for flood relief measures remains unfulfilled.

He criticised the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the centre for the price rise, unemployment and increasing atmosphere of hate in the country.

Revanth announced if Congress is voted to power, Rs 5 lakhs will be provided under the Indiramma housing scheme for the poor, implementation of farmers’ loan waiver of up to Rs 2 lakhs, and implementation of Rs 15,000 per acre assistance to farmers including tenant farmers will be granted. He also said that there would be an increase in Arogyasri health scheme amount up to Rs 5 lakhs from the existing Rs 2 lakhs and that LPG cylinders for Rs 500 each would also be given.

Telangana Congress chief made a bold announcement that, if the Congress wins the election, gas cylinders will be made available to the state’s poor for just Rs 500.

He paid a visit to Manuguru on Monday as a part of the Haath Se Haath Jodo Yatra. In addition, he added, the party would provide each family who was financially struggling Rs 5 lakh to build a house. While promising to distribute pattas (land deeds) for podu lands if Congress takes office, he asked tribal farmers to vote for them.

He stated that all communities in the state are served by Congress, which is committed to doing so.

Revanth charged that K Chandrasekhar Rao, the chief minister, defrauded the Godavari flood victims by making fictitious pledges to construct homes for them. He met the flood victims on his tour and offered his support.

Revanth travelled on foot from Gollagudem in Ashwapuram Mandal to the Ambedkar Center on the seventh day of the walkathon. Later, he spoke at a public gathering in the Manuguru Mandal-controlled village of Gollapalli.

The TPCC president appealed to the people dissatisfied with the current administration to take into account Congress’ history of helping the people, accusing the Bharat Rashtra Samithi-led state government of defrauding all segments of society during the last eight years.

Revanth made fun of the chief minister’s remarks during recent Assembly sessions. He asserted that Rao had lauded Manmohan Singh’s administration because he was courting Congress out of fear of the party’s influence in the state.

After Telangana was announced, he referred to KCR as a ‘great cheat’ and questioned how he had deserted Congress. He chastised the chief minister for his contradictory political beliefs and behaviour.
