SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday ordered transfers and posting of senior police officers.
According to Government Order No.95-Home of 2023 issued by the Home Department, Swarn Singh Kotwal, SSP, Security, Jammu, is transferred and posted as Commandant, SDRF 1 st Bn. Srinagar, against an available vacancy.
Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, Commandant, IR-13 Ül Bn., is transferred and posted as Commandant, IR-IOÜI Bn., vice Fayaz Ahmad Lone.
Mohd Arshad, Commandant, IPO-12 07 Bn., is transferred and posted as Commandant,IR-13 th Bn., vice Aijaz Ahmad Bhat.
Mohd Arif Rishu, SSP, Railways, Jammu, is transferred and posted as Commandant, IR-8th Bn., against an available vacancy.

Jammu And Kashmir Education Department Released Final Seniority List Of PG Masters/Teachers – Check Name Wise PDF Below In This Article
Whereas, final seniority list of PG Masters/Teachers in the
discipline of Persian as on 01.07.2020 was issued vide Government Order No. -Edu of 2020 dated 26.08.2020; and
Whereas, a tentative seniority list was issued in the discipline
vide notice dated 17.10.2022, for inviting objections from members of the
cadre who either is/are not included in the list or is/are aggrieved with the position assigned to them in the tentative seniority list; and; and
Whereas, after notifying the said seniority list, Directorates of School Education Jammu/Kashmir have forwarded the service particulars of some more PG Masters/ Teachers in the said discipline for correction/inclusion of their names in the seniority list; and
Whereas, the matter has been examined and all the necessary
inclusions/corrections/deletions have been made on the subject and a
consolidated final seniority list has been prepared forming Annexure-A to this order; and

Whereas, the inclusion of officials who have acquired their PG
Degree during service period is provisional and subject to grant of permission/ leave at the relevant point of time by the Competent Authority; and
Whereas, those officials who have obtained their degrees through distance mode are included in the final seniority list on provisional basis subject to the fulfillment of conditions as laid down in Government Order No. 252-HE of 2012, dated 30.05.2012 and departmental specific mechanism notified by the School Education Department vide Government Order No. 940- Edu of 2017, dated 17.11.2017; and
Now, therefore, in terms of Rule-24 of J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, the final seniority list in respect of PG Master/Teachers in the discipline of Persian, forming Annexure-A to this order, is hereby issued, subject to the conditions that:
1. The date of birth of the incumbents recorded in the seniority list is
  subject to further verification from service records, also with reference
  to the original matriculation certificates of all the concerned, and
2. The seniority list so issued will be subject to outcome of writ petition(s)
  pending, if any, before any Hon’ble Court of Law.
Besides, it is ordered that any member of the service who is
either not included or is aggrieved with the position assigned to him/her in the final seniority list can file a review petition within 07 days from the date of issuance of this final seniority list along with supporting documents, through concerned Directorates which will be decided on case to case basis. No petition shall be entertained after the expiry of stipulated time period. The final seniority list is also available on the official website of School Education Department (ie. www.jkeducation.gov.in)

Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Blacklists 24 Vehicles in South Kashmir District
KULGAM, FEBRUARY 20: In continuation to its enforcement drive, a team of Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) headed by ARTO Kulgam today blacklisted 24 vehicles for violating Traffic rules including Overloading, Overcharging of fare, plying without SLD and other violations.
The action against the erring was taken during checking carried out by the team as part of ongoing enforcement drive. Around 150 Vehicles plying on various routes in Kulgam including Lirrow, Behibagh, Bolus and Yaripora Routes were checked.
ARTO Kulgam said that MVD shall act sternly against rules violations concerning speed limiting devices, extra fittings, unauthorised modifications.
He added that the inspections by the Motor Vehicles department would continue and shall be intensified in near future across the district.
ARTO also said that the Motor Vehicles Department Kulgam had already suspended multiple route permits and driving licences.

n accordance with Government Order No. 46 JK (Edu) of 2023, dated 17.02.2023, the School Education Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has published the final seniority list of PG Masters/Teachers in the discipline of Botany as of 01.01.2023.
The Directorates of School Education, Jammu/Kashmir provided the service information and bios for select PG Masters/Teachers in the field of Botany, updating the seniority list from the previous list published on April 12, 2019, in accordance with Government Order No. 157-Edu of 2019.
On July 20, 2022, a provisional seniority list based on the accumulated service details was made public and invited objections from cadre members who were left off the list or felt wronged by the position that was given to them.
Following receipt of additional service information from PG Masters and Teachers in the field of Botany for inclusion or correction in the seniority list, the issue was investigated, and all necessary inclusions, corrections, and deletions were made to create a final seniority list that was consolidated.

Before issuing the final seniority list, the final seniority list was sent to both the Directorates of School Education in Jammu and Kashmir with a request for comments or objections, if any.
Numerous objections/representations were received from applicants asking for the removal of PG Masters/Teachers who had obtained their PG Degree during service through normal or distance learning without authorization from the seniority list. In accordance with Government Order No. 940-Edu of 2017, dated 17.11.2017, sufficient permission and admissibility of leave must be granted by the relevant authorities at the appropriate time in order to pursue a postgraduate degree while in service.

Income Tax department to release BBC Documentary of Tax evasion

After carrying out a ‘survey’ at the premises of British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) offices in Delhi and Mumbai for the second day in a row today, the the income tax department on Thursday announced a BBC Documentary on its tax evasion.
“Manipulation of prices for unauthorised benefits including tax advantages are serious crimes and the BBC India is found to be a repeat offender, and this deserves a documentary” told Income Tax department to The Fauxy.
PM Narendra Modi will launch the BBC Documentary on Namo TV and Doordarshan. The documentary will also be shown on theatres and all the BJP ruled states are likely to make the documentary tax free.
Reportedly, BBC has reached UK court to ban airing of the documentary on BBC tax evasion, calling it fake, misleading and a vendetta.
Upset with the BBC for not being able to spread Modi documentary to the masses and polarise the situation ahead of general election, BJP has supported the raid. “They had just one job” said a BJP leader.
Sources suggest that Donald Trump has offered to mediate between BJP and BBC. Details awaited.

Pence confirms he will fight Justice Department subpoena

Pence said he expected Trump would also move to quash the subpoena on the basis that it intrudes on executive privilege by seeking details of conversations between him and Trump.
“My understanding is that President Trump will assert that. That’s not my fight,” Pence said. “My fight is on the separation of powers.”
POLITICO reported on Tuesday that Pence planned to fight a grand jury subpoena issued recently by Smith and that the challenge would not be based on executive privilege but instead on the Constitution’s “speech or debate” clause. That language has been interpreted to give broad legal protections to senators and House members, as well as members of their staffs.
How, if at all, it applies to Pence is uncertain. He’s expected to claim that he was acting in a legislative capacity as president of the Senate on Jan. 6, so forcing him to answer questions about that subject would violate the separation of powers between the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government.
“My fight against the DOJ subpoena, very simply, is on defending the prerogatives that I had as president of the Senate to preside over the joint session of Congress on January 6th,” the former vice president said.
Pence, who is mulling entering the 2024 presidential race and effectively pitting himself against his former boss, appears to also be seeking to accomplish a kind of political straddle. Fighting the subpoena could endear him to some Trump backers, while also appealing to hard-core constitutionalists who consider themselves Republicans but are steadfastly opposed to Trump.
During his comments to reporters on Wednesday, Pence reiterated that he believed Trump was “wrong” to repeatedly pressure him — in public and private — to overturn the election on Jan. 6. Trump pushed Pence to use his perch as president of the Senate to refuse to count electoral votes for Joe Biden, a final desperate bid by Trump to remain in power despite losing the election.
But Pence heeded legal advice that he had no unilateral power to reject slates of electors from states where Biden had prevailed.

Pence also said that “reckless” rhetoric by Trump endangered him and his family, who had to flee the mob for hours.
“It’s also wrong to establish a precedent where a legislative official could be called into a court by an executive branch,” he said.
