Weather Update: Heavy Rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir, HP and Uttarakhand

Heavy rainfall is likely in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand next week, while Delhi is expected to witness light rain and cloudy skies between January 24 and 26.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature is likely to dip for now but the minimum temperature may rise as the cold wave conditions improve by the end of next week.

Over the past two to three days, minimum temperatures increased in a number of locations in the north and northwest.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that the Western Himalayan Region is expected to have a severe Western Disturbance beginning on January 23, and the northwest Indian plains are likely to experience it between January 24 and January 27.

Over north India, no cold wave conditions are anticipated in the coming week.

IMD Scientist SS Roy while talking to news agency ANI said, Due to Western disturbance, heavy rainfall likely in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand on Jan 24 & 25. Light rain & cloudy weather likely in Delhi from Jan 24 to 26.
