Hyderabad: After the sighting of the crescent moon on Thursday to mark the beginning of the holy month of Ramzan, chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao sent his best wishes to the Muslim community throughout the country.
“On the auspicious occasion of the sighting of the Ramzan moon and the beginning of the holy month of fasting, chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao congratulated the Muslims of Telangana state and across the country,” said a tweet in Urdu from the office of the chief minister.
“Chief Minister KCR declared Ramzan as a blessed month and said that Ramzan inspires discipline and generosity,” it added.
In a tweet, Telangana CM also said that the Ramzan month taught individuals to be disciplined, charitable, and to think spiritually. He asserted that one might comprehend spirituality and the ultimate purpose of life by reading the Quran, praying, engaging in fasting rituals, and engaging in charitable activities like Zakat and Fitr.
