Withdrawing summons issued to Arvind Kejriwal, Goa police tells HC

    [ad_1]

Panaji: The Goa police on Wednesday told the Bombay High Court that they are withdrawing the summons issued to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in which he was asked to appear before them on April 27 in a case related to the illegal sticking of posters on public properties during the 2022 Assembly elections campaign.

The police had issued the notice suo motu to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener on April 13 under section 41 (A) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). But Kejriwal challenged the summons issued to him by the Pernem police, asking him to appear before the investigating officer on April 27 in connection with the case.

The case was heard by a division bench comprising Justices Mahesh Sonak and Valmiki Menezes of the Goa bench of the Bombay High Court on Wednesday, during which the police submitted that they are going to withdraw the summons issued to Kejriwal.

Talking to PTI, advocate Subodh Kantak, who represented Kejriwal, said the petition was disposed of by the bench after the police submitted that they are going to withdraw the summons.

The police notice to Kejriwal read, “During the investigation of a case about defacement of property, it is revealed that there are reasonable grounds to question you to ascertain facts and circumstances from you in relation to the present investigation.”

The Kejriwal-led AAP won two seats in the 2022 polls in the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled state.

Kerala HC quashes Guv’s order withdrawing 15 senate members

    [ad_1]

Kochi: In a huge set back to Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, the Kerala High Court on Friday quashed his order which withdrew 15 nominated senate members to the University of Kerala.

Khan, who is also the chancellor of universities in the state, took the decision to withdraw in October last year, after the nominated senate members by him refused to heed to his directives.

It was against this order that a few senate members who lost their membership approached the high court and after a long drawn legal battle, the court quashed the order.

Congress spokesperson and former senate member Jyothikumar Chamakala said that this directive from the court was expected.

“The Chancellor (Governor) made a mistake of withdrawing four ex-officio members also, which though nominated by him, he doesn’t have the authority. The remaining 11 members can be Aremoved by him, but he did the mistake of removing all 15. We had pointed this out, then itself,” said Chamakala.

Meanwhile sources close to Khan’s office said they are waiting for the order of the court to see the scope for going for an appeal.

Safe ATM Transaction: In addition to online transactions, withdrawing money from ATMs is also not safe amidst increasing cases of cybercrime. As much as ATM has made the problem of withdrawing cash easier, it has also increased the difficulties more than that.

A little caution can save you from any untoward incident. Before withdrawing money from ATM, you should check that how safe is the machine from which you are withdrawing money. The biggest danger in ATM is due to card cloning. We will tell you how your details can be stolen…

Hackers steal the data of any customer from the card slot in the ATM machine. They put such a device in the card slot of the ATM machine, which scans the complete information of your card. After this, they steal data from Bluetooth or any other wireless device.

To gain complete access to your debit card, the hacker needs to have your PIN number. Hackers can track the pin number with a camera. To avoid this, whenever you enter your PIN number in the ATM, hide it with the other hand. So that his image does not go in the CCTV camera.

When you go to the ATM, check the card slot of the ATM machine carefully. If you feel that any tampering has been done in the ATM card slot or the slot is loose or there is any other problem then do not use it.

While putting the card in the card slot, pay attention to the light burning in it. If the green light is on in the slot then the ATM is safe. But if red or any other light is not burning in it, then do not use the ATM. This could be a sign of a glitch.

If you ever feel that you have fallen into the trap of hackers and the bank is also closed, then you should contact the police. By giving this information to the police as soon as possible, you can get fingerprints there. You can also see who has an active Bluetooth connection around you, making it easier to reach that person.
