KCR’s absence during PM Modi’s Hyderabad visit is a shame: BJP

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party state president and parliament member Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday said the absence of chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana is shameful.

PM Modi was in Hyderabad to flag off the Vande Bharat Express train, inaugurate the doubling and electrification of the Secunderabad – Mahabubnagar project and lay the foundation stones of the National Highway projects and AIIMS Bibinagar.

Speaking to the media at Parade Grounds, Bandi said, “The chief minister seems very busy. The prime minister comes to the state to launch development projects worth Rs 11,360 crore and the CM refused to show his face. KCR is an inhibitor of development.”

    MS Education Academy

Bandi informed that he had personally requested the CM to attend the launch of the development projects and had reserved a seat for KCR. “I also brought a shawl to felicitate the CM. But why didn’t he come? What matters are more important than the PM coming to the state?” he said.

He demanded an answer from KCR as to why he did not turn up even though the PM, Governor and union ministers attended the meeting. He also demanded that the chief minister apologises to the people of Telangana for this.

The prime minister made it clear that politics are only limited to the elections after which the priority should be developmental works. A large amount of money is being spent on Telangana irrespective of politics.

“People of Telangana came to the Parade Grounds to witness the launch of development works, many are watching this on TV and they are also observing the absence of KTR. At the right time, they will teach KCR a lesson,” said the BJP president.

Amit Shah to visit Arunachal village along China border on April 10-11

    [ad_1]

Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Arunachal Pradesh on April 10 and 11 where he will launch the ‘Vibrant Villages Programme’ in Kibithoo, a village along the India-China border.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government of India has approved the ‘Vibrant Villages Programme’ (VVP) with central components of Rs 4,800 crore, including Rs 2,500 crore exclusively for road connectivity for the financial years 2022-23 to 2025-26, a home ministry statement said on Saturday.

The VVP is a centrally sponsored scheme under which 2,967 villages in 46 blocks of 19 districts abutting the northern border in the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh and Union Territory of Ladakh have been identified for comprehensive development.

    MS Education Academy

In the first phase, 662 villages, including 455 in Andhra Pradesh, have been identified for priority coverage.

The VVP will help in improving the quality of life of people living in identified border villages and encourage people to stay at their native locations, thereby reversing the outmigration from these villages and adding to the security of the border, the statement said.

The district administration, with the help of appropriate mechanisms at block and panchayat levels, will prepare action plans for the identified villages to ensure 100 per cent saturation of central and state schemes. The focus areas of interventions identified for the development of villages include road connectivity, drinking water, electricity including solar and wind energy, mobile and internet connectivity, tourist centres, multi-purpose centres and healthcare infrastructure and wellness centres.

Shah, in his first visit to Arunachal Pradesh as home minister, will on April 10 inaugurate nine micro hydel projects of the state government constructed under the “Golden Jubilee Border Illumination Programme” in Kibithoo. These electricity projects will empower people living in border villages, the statement said.

He will also inaugurate Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) projects to augment infrastructure at Likabali (Arunachal Pradesh), Chapra (Bihar), Nooranad (Kerala) and Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), it said.

The home minister will also interact with ITBP personnel at Kibithoo in the Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh.

An exhibition of products made by members of women’s self-help groups of border districts will also be held. Shah will visit the exhibition stalls, the statement said.

On April 11, he will visit Namti field and pay homage at the Walong war memorial, it said.

Maharashtra: NCP mocks publicity around CM Shinde’s Ayodhya visit

    [ad_1]

Pune: Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar on Saturday slammed the “publicity” around the Ayodhya visit of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and also ridiculed relentless media updates on the latter’s programme there.

Shinde will be proceeding to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh by helicopter on Sunday after arriving in Lucknow later in the evening on Saturday.

Shinde will offer prayers at the Hanumangarhi temple and the Ram temple, see the ongoing construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, perform evening ‘aarti’ on the banks of the Saryu river, meet seers, address a press conference and then return to Mumbai, as per the CM’s aides.

    MS Education Academy

“When I offer prayers anywhere, I do not create such publicity. The CM is visiting there to seek blessings. There is no need for such updates as he has arrived, he is at the airport, his flight has taken off etc,” Pawar told reporters.

Pawar, a former deputy chief minister of the state, said there are pressing issues related to unemployment, crime, and farmers’ distress that require more attention.

Speaking on bypolls to the Pune Lok Sabha seat following the death of BJP’s Girish Bapat, the NCP leader said his party will spell out its role after the Election Commission announces the schedule.
