     Poonch Militant Attack: Vehicular Movement Suspended

    SRINAGAR: Following the militant attack on an army vehicle in Poonch, the movement of all kinds of vehicles has been suspended on the national highway stretch between Bhimber Gali and Bhata Dhurian with people being advised to follow the Mendhar diversion for moving towards Poonch and Surankote.

    Police in Poonch district said that in the wake of “some incident” in Bhata Dhurian, traffic will remain suspended from BG to Surankote road.

    “All the commuters are advised to adopt alternative routes that include BG Mendhar JWG or Mendhar KG Poonch,” police said.

    The militants attacked an army vehicle in the Bhata Dhurian area of the Poonch district in which five personnel lost their lives while one army man is critically injured. (KNO)

    Srinagar, Mar 9 (GNS): Authorities on Thursday announced traffic dry day on Jammu-Srinagar highway from March 10 morning upto March 11 morning.

    “Traffic between Ramban-Banihal on Jammu Srinagar National Highway will be closed on 10th March. Only Doda-Kishtwar Highway will remains open for traffic”, SSP Traffic NHW Ramban, as per GNS announced.

    “There will be no movement of vehicles from 6 AM on 10th March till 6 AM on 11 March 2023 between Navyuga and Nashri tunnels”, the office said. (GNS)

    Vehicular Traffic in Sonamarg Halted After Landslide

    Srinagar, Mar 5 (GNS): Vehicular traffic movement remains halted after a landslide occurred in Sonamarg area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district this afternoon, reliable sources said.

    They told GNS that a landslide occurred near Sonamarg Bye-pass, bringing an abrupt halt to the traffic on both sides.

    Despite few hours into the occurrence, no body has reached the site to clear the road of the debris, they said adding dozens of vehicles as such remain stranded along the road. (GNS)
