TSPSC group 3 exams: Over 5 lakh to compete for 1375 vacancies

Hyderabad: A total of 536477 candidates have applied for the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) group 3 exams for 1375 vacancies in various government departments.
Though the commission has not yet announced the date of the exams, candidates have already started their preparations and most of them are seen rushing to coaching centers in Hyderabad.

As the Telangana government is gearing up to conduct recruitments for Group 2, 3, and 4 vacancies, candidates who have already applied for the exams are seen joining coaching centers in Hyderabad.
Most of them are leaving no stone unturned to crack the exams as the government has notified huge number of vacancies in various government departments.
Many candidates are seeing it as once in a lifetime opportunity to get into government jobs.
TSPSC group 2, 3 and 4 vacancies, exams
The commission issued a group 2 notification on January 18 and the last date for registering applications was February 16. The number of vacancies notified is 783.
Under group 3, the number of vacancies is 1363. The notification for the posts was issued on January 24 and the last date for registering applications was February 23.
The notification for group 4 was issued last year and the number of vacancies notified is 8039. The examination which consists of two papers will be conducted on July 1, 2023. While paper I will be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm, paper II is scheduled to be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.

After conducting the group 4 exam, TSPSC will release the key on the official website of the commission. Any objection related to answer key or question papers can be submitted online on the commission’s website.
The selection of candidates for TSPSC group 4 jobs will be done based on their performance in a written test which will be objective type.

Judicial vacancies trigger suspension of trials in some parts of New Jersey

It’s impossible to predict how many trials these suspensions will affect, said Pete McAleer, a spokesperson for the Administrative Office of the Courts. While many trials will face indefinite delays, the courts will still address applications for child support, custody and visitation, McAleer said.
There are currently 69 vacancies throughout the trial courts, Rabner said, more than one out of every six positions statewide. The court system has operated with an average of more than 50 vacancies for the past three years.
“That imposes heightened responsibilities on sitting judges who handle thousands of proceedings and motions each month,” Rabner said. “That situation, along with the effects of the COVID crisis, has contributed to delays in handling individual cases and substantial increases in backlog.”
There are five vacancies out of a total of 20 judicial positions in Vicinage 13 and nine vacancies out of 28 positions in Vicinage 15.
The judiciary prioritizes cases that concern an individual’s liberty, like criminal or juvenile delinquency matters, and cases that present potential emergencies such as domestic violence complaints.
“There are simply not enough judges at this time to conduct civil and matrimonial trials in either vicinage,” Rabner said. “Without additional relief, we may well face the same situation in other vicinages in the near future.”
Jeralyn Lawrence, president of the New Jersey State Bar Association, said the ongoing situation has reached crisis levels. “The court does not operate properly with more than 25 to 30 vacancies,” she said in an interview with POLITICO. “The executive and legislative branches have known about this for months and they’ve done nothing.”
Natalie Hamilton, a spokesperson for Gov. Phil Murphy, said the administration is working to fill the vacancies. “Governor Murphy has remained committed to ensuring vacancies in New Jersey’s courts are filled by highly qualified individuals,” she said. “Since he took office in 2018, 101 judges have been nominated and confirmed, including 45 in the 2022 calendar year.”

Lawrence said the governor is not moving quickly enough.
“The judiciary can’t solve this problem,” Lawrence said. “There’s only two branches of government that can solve this problem. Our governor and our legislature cannot figure out who to put on the bench.”
“Time is of the essence, and it has been of the essence,” Lawrence said. “They shouldn’t work on anything else other than this.”
There is no shortage of qualified candidates for the vacancies, Lawrence added.

“Large scale recruitment drive has been carried out after formation of the Union Territory in the most transparent manner,” he said.
He further said that 33,426 vacancies of Gazetted and Non-Gazetted categories have been identified in Jammu and Kashmir, out of which 25,450 vacancies have been filled till December, 2022, while recruiting agencies have advertised 7,976 vacancies for recruitment.
He also said that the identification of vacancies in the Government and recruitment is a continuous and on-going process and the same is taken up under Accelerated Recruitment Drive.
“The Government of J&K has taken various initiatives to bring down un-employment by implementing various self employment schemes through different departments by providing subsidized loans for establishment of their own sustainable income generation units.”
He said a number of self-employment schemes like Mission Youth, Rural Livelihood Mission, Himayat, PMEGP, Avsar, Tejaswani are being implemented for providing employment opportunities.
“From the results of the Periodic Labor Force Survey (PLFS) conducted by the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO), estimates of unemployment rate is not available specifically for the educated youth in Jammu and Kashmir for the period April-June 2021,” he said.

He said however, from the PLFS conducted by the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) during July 2020-June 2021, estimate of unemployment rate according to usual status among the persons of age group 15-29 years for Jammu and Kashmir was 18.3 per cent—(KNO)
