    Telangana: TOMCOM releases vacancies to work in Australia, UAE

    Hyderabad: Vacancies are opened for maintenance work, said the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Limited (TOMCOM) here.

    According to a press release on Saturday, TOMCOM said that it has entered into an agreement with various countries such as Australia, Canada, Germany Hungary, Japan, Poland, Romania, the United Kingdom and Gulf countries to recruit skilled workers.

    These workers include maintenance workers, technicians, JCD drivers, electricity and system security technicians.

    “These jobs come with attractive salary packages, and TOMCOM will assist the candidates in facilitating the recruitment process through safe and legal channels of migration,” the press release stated.

    Here are the following vacancies:

    Australia: HD Maintainance Technician/Fitter, CNC- Machinist and Chefs – Indian restaurants.

    UAE: Blaster Painter, cleaner, foreman,- blasting and painting, foreman plater, GTAW welder, ITV driver, machinist – CNC, pip fitter, plater fabricator, scaffolders, security system technician. Senior officer for Operations, Oracle functional lead, Oracle technical lead, accounts officer, and accounts manager.

    The release stated that food, accommodation, and joining tickets will be provided by the recruiting company.

    Candidates should possess a passport with a minimum validity of two years and relevant experience.

  • JKPSC Announces Vacancies For Assistant Professors

    SRINAGAR: Jammu & Kashmir Public Services Commission (JKPSC) has advertised a notification for the hiring of Assistant Professor Vacancies. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply after matching academic eligibility and age as per the prescribed criteria.

    As per notification number 06 – PSC (DR-P) of 2023, dated 01-03-2023, a total of 285 vacancies for the posts of Assistant Professors have been advertised in various disciplines. The notification states that only candidates domiciled in the UT J&K can apply for the vacant posts.

    The eligibility criterions are in accordance with the terms in J&K (Gazette) College Service Recruitment Rules, 2008, and the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (Business and Procedure) Rules, 2021, as amended till date. The academic/professional eligibility requirements are Masters/Doctorate Degree and NET/SLET/SET in the relevant discipline. All interested candidates need to verify their age as per the SSC (10th class Marks sheet). The age limit for Open Merit (OM) and in-service Candidates is set at 40 years while for RBA/ST/SC/ALC/EWS/OSC/PSC candidates it is 43 years and has been set at 42 years for the physically challenged applicants.

    SRINAGAR: In the latest vacancies advertised by Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) the apex body for recruitment of gazetted posts, the aspirations of hundreds of Mass Communication and Journalism pass outs have been dashed as not even a single vacancy is advertised in this discipline.

    Out of the 285 vacancies of Assistant Professors advertised by the commission, the media studies department has not been taken care of, much to the displeasure of the students.

    JKPSC on Thursday invited online applications from the eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professors in different disciplines in the higher education department of Jammu and Kashmir.

    The application process will commence on March 3. Interested candidates will be able to apply online through the official website of JKPSC, till March 31, 2023.

    Candidates will be able to edit their application forms from April 1 to April 3.

    The upper age limit for candidates is 40 years for OM and 43 RBA, SC, ST, EWS, ALC, PSC, and OSC candidates.. The age limit is 42 years for PHC candidates.

    FGG moves Telangana HC against decision to issue pattas to encroachers

    Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court issued notices to the state government asking it to file its response while hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on the vacancies in the state SC and ST commission.

    The bench led by chief justice Ujjal Bhuyan and justice N Tukaramji issued notices to the chief secretary and the principal secretary, the Scheduled Castes development department, and the Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. The bench asked them to furnish the reasons in this regard.

    The appointment of chairperson and members to the Telangana Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Commission has been pending and the commission has been defunct since February 2021.

    S Ganesh Rao and J Shankar of Secunderabad filed the PIL on the non-appointment of officials to Telangana State SC and ST commission.

    The PIL highlighted that many issues were pending before the commission and without personnel, the grievances of the people cannot be heard.

    The hearing has been adjourned to April 13.
