Adipurush trailer launch: Saffron flags, ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chants in movie halls

Ahead of the trailer launch of the widely anticipated film ‘Adipurush’, starring Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as goddess Sita, Sunny Singh as Lakshman and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan, flags walked in the venue — a multiplex in the heart of Mumbai’s Juhu area with saffron flags chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
As the media waited with bated breath for the trailer release, fans, dressed in ethnic wear, walked in holding saffron flags and chanted the name of Lord Ram, who is essayed by Prabhas in the film.
They also chanted “Shri Ram Lakshman Janki, Jai Hanuman ki” (Lord Ram, Lakshman and Sita, all hail Lord Hanuman).

The religious emotion was also drummed up by the emcee who chanted in unison with the crowd.
The coordinated activity also saw different placards on the same lines. The chants grew stronger as the trailer release drew closer.
Earlier, the film’s dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir countered Congress’s claim for putting a ban on the religious outfit Bajrang Dal as a part of their manifesto during the high-voltage Karnataka elections.
‘Adipurush’, is set to be released theatrically on June 16.
Similar scenes were witnessed in Hyderabad during the trailer launch in the city where fans raised slogans of ‘Jai Shree Ram’, after flocking to the AMB theatre in Gachibowli and streets surrounding it as the word of Prabhas’s attendance spread like wildfire.

Kriti and Prabhas watched the trailer inside the theatre alongside the ecstatic fans.

Adah Sharma speaks up for ‘The Kerala Story’; don’t judge film by its trailer

Mumbai: Actress Adah Sharma has shared that her upcoming film ‘The Kerala Story’ has not shown Kerala in a “derogatory light”.
Adah took to Twitter, where she shared a selfie of herself in a pink saree with gajra in her hair.
She said: “Many senior persons in high posts have commented on #TheKeralaStory after watching the 2 minute trailer.”

“My parents have always asked me to respect my elders so with due respect to all of them i hope they can take 2 hrs out of their busy schedule and watch the movie. I’m sure they will see that we haven’t shown Kerala in any derogatory light. Jai hind.”
In ‘The Kerala Story’, actress Adah Sharma is playing the role of Fathima Ba, a Hindu Malayali nurse, who is among the 32,000 women who went missing from Kerala and were then recruited to the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) after being forced to convert to Islam.
Directed by Sudipto Sen, the film tells the story of four women and how from being regular college students in Kerala, they became part of a terror organisation.
The film has courted controversy for portraying itself as a real story and for making false claims that thousands of women from Kerala are being converted to Islam and recruited into ISIS. It faces allegations of promoting the Sangh Parivar’s agenda.

‘Afwaah’ trailer shows Bhumi, Nawaz’s characters on the run

Mumbai: The trailer of the upcoming movie ‘Afwaah’ was unveiled on Wednesday. The film, directed by Sudhir Mishra of ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi,’ stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bhumi Pednekar, Sumeet Vyas, T.J. Bhanu and Sharib Hashmi.
The trailer, which is two minutes and thirty seconds in length, shows Sumeet as a politician who is in hot pursuit of his fiancee (played by Bhumi) after she runs away from home and Nawaz’s character comes to her rescue. A rumour that Bhumi and Nawaz’s character eloped together is unleashed by those in power.
Director Sudhir Mishra said: “What if the monster chasing you is a bloody rumour? Basically you’re screwed because there’s no place to hide. The monster will always get there before you. What is worse is that sometimes the monster comes in the shape of a friend or a lover or a parent. If this is not the basis of a f****g good thriller, then I don’t know what is! Presenting my reaction to our times: ‘Afwaah’.”

The film is a quirky thriller and speaks about how a rumour has the power to turn someone’s life upside down. This is Sudhir’s second outing with Nawazuddin after the ‘Serious Men’.
Producer Anubhav Sinha said: “It’s been an enriching experience collaborating with Sudhir on this important film. I believe ‘Afwaah’ is a very important film that accomplishes our objective of producing films that are high on content.”
Produced by Anubhav Sinha under his banner Benaras Mediaworks, the film will release theatrically on May 5, 2023.

“Tumko lagta hai VFX”: Salman Khan flaunts his six-pack abs at ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ trailer launch

Mumbai: Superstar Salman Khan on Monday unveiled the much-awaited trailer of his upcoming action entertainer film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’.
During the trailer launch event, Salman wowed his fans, as he showcased his washboard abs in front of the media shutting down all the social media trolls.
Several videos from the event are currently getting viral in which the ‘Dabangg’ actor could be seen unbuttoning his black shirt and showing off his abs to the screaming audience.

Previously, Salman faced a lot of backlash on social media as few users had commented that the 57-year-old actor’s toned physique was a result of visual effects (VFX) and not the gym.
In the video, the ‘Kick’ actor told the audience, “Tumhare ko lagta hai VFX se hota hain (You think this is done through VFX)” and also hinted that his body was achieved after working out only.
Soon after the video went viral, fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons.

Helmed by Farhad Samji, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ stars Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar in pivotal roles.
The film is all set to hit the theatres on April 21, 2023.
The almost three-and-a-half-minute trailer showcased Salman in a power-packed avatar who is standing along with his love interest, Pooja Hegde’s family who are getting death threats from some goons. He could be heard saying “Jab ek non violent aadmi ke peeche, violent aadmi pad jaaye…tab us non-violent aadmi ke saamne ek boht hi violent aadmi ko khada hona zaroori hai.”
Apart from this, he will also be seen in an action thriller film ‘Tiger 3’ opposite Katrina Kaif which is all set to hit the theatres on the occasion of Diwali 2023.

Mumbai: Brace yourselves, for Salman Khan is returning as the lead player in a theatrical film after a four-year break. The release of the ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ trailer, naturally, had to be a big-ticket affair and it did turn out that way on Monday.
The trailer features Salman as the ‘bhai’ of the masses and ‘jaan’ of families with an action-packed treat.
It kicks off with Salman reciting the opening sholka of the ‘Bhagavad Gita’ and deep dives into the budding romance between Bhai and his leading lady on screen, Pooja Hegde, transitioning immediately into an action saga with “face-breaking, bone-cracking, neck-twisting, hammer-hitting action”.

The trailer is over three minutes in length and boasts of all aspects of a commercial formula-led Hindi film. It has bits of family emotions, comedy, romance, drama, music, and of course, action.
It rests heavily on Salman’s shoulders, who does most of the heavy-hitting. It also comes across as a mix of previous Salman Khan films such as ‘Wanted’ (pay attention to the train action sequence), ‘Jai Ho’ (the whole talk about non-violence) and, of course, over-the-top action, which is the staple of Salman Khan films.
Scheduled to hit the big screen on April 21, coinciding with Eid, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ is a Hindi action drama directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films.

Mumbai: Pooja Hegde, who was last seen in Ranveer Singh’s theatrical dud ‘Cirkus’, is set to share the big screen with Salman Khan in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’.
The actress will play the romantic interest of Salman’s character and her character serves as a pivot to the film’s story as all the action and drama unfolds when fellow southern star Jagapathi Babu’s villain goes in hot pursuit of her brother, played by Daggubati Venkatesh, the Telugu star who’s garnering eyeballs with the streaming show ‘Rana Naidu’, and Bhumika Chawla.

The film tells the story of epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant from Mahabharata, portrayed by Samantha and Dev Mohan.

Mumbai : The trailer of Kunal Kemmu and Shweta Tripathi’s upcoming comedy-drama ‘Kanjoos Makhichoos’ is out.
‘Kanjoos Makhichoos’ is the story of Jamnaprasad Pandey (Kunal Khemu) who is infamous in the entire town of Deoria, Uttar Pradesh as a miser. His parents, Gangaprasad Pandey (Piyush Mishra) and Saraswati Pandey (Alka Amin), wife Madhuri (Shweta Tripathi) and son Krish, are fed up with Jamna’s penny-pinching habits. Right from allocating one bucket per person for bathing to using one agarbatti throughout the month, Jamnaprasad never spares a single rupee unnecessarily. However, little does the family know that Jamna has been saving up to fulfill his father’s longstanding wish of going on a char-dhaam yatra.
The film is written and directed by Vipul Mehta. Piyush Mishra, Alka Amin, Rajiv Gupta and the late Raju Srivastav are also a part of the film.
Excited about the film, Kunal said, “Kanjoos Makhichoos is the kind of film that I would love to watch with my family because it is a complete mass entertainer. It has the perfect dose of drama, comedy, plot twists, a sweet message and a whole lot of entertainment. Director Vipul Mehta also shared details about the film.
“Kanjoos Makhichoos is a story of a middle-class, simple-minded Pandey family, belonging to Lucknow. The story has a very realistic approach with humane and relatable characters. The humour depicted in the film is also very natural. In this world of nuclear urban families, our film is focussing on the story of a joint, close-knitted family. The protagonist Jamnaprasad is a miser minded person and his miserly ways will steal the heart of the audience,” Mehta added.
‘Kanjoos Makhichoos’ will be out on Zee5 on March 24.
