A month-long protest by wrestlers at Jantar Mantar is being supported by multiple organizations, in response to allegations made by players. These allegations have led to the filing of cases against BJP MP Braj Bhushan Singh, as ordered by the Supreme Court.

On joining this movement of political and caste organizations, Kshatriya Mahasabha held an important meeting in Dharamshala established by Kshatriya Chetak Samaj. Workers of Kshatriya Mahasabha from all over the country participated in this meeting.

During a meeting, Mahendra Singh Tanwar, the National President of All India Kshatriya Mahasabha, expressed his concern regarding the current situation in the country.

He stated that when there are allegations made against a person, it is crucial to conduct a fair investigation in their context.

However, he also observed that several caste and regional organizations are supporting the movement, which may ignite further tensions and lead to the deterioration of brotherhood in the country.

He emphasized the need for caution and urged everyone to work towards promoting unity and harmony in society.

Kshatriya considers Shriram as his role model and has been at the forefront of fighting against injustice. He has made significant sacrifices to ensure the safety and well-being of society. Most recently, the Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Mahasabha organized a Social Harmony Tour, a nationwide bus journey aimed at promoting unity across all sections of society.

Kills us if you want, won’t tolerate such disrespect: Vinesh Phogat

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: Shocked and appalled by the boorish behaviour by the Delhi Police towards protesting wrestlers late Thursday evening, an emotionally distraught Vinesh Phogat said they were not criminals and did not deserve such disrespect.

The wrestlers are sitting on protest from April 23, demanding arrest of WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh alleging that he has sexually harassed seven female grapplers, including one minor.

Around 11 pm, a scuffle broke out at Jantar Mantar between the protesting wrestlers when they were bringing in folding beds for their night stay and the on-duty police personnel allegedly began enquiring about that.

According to the wrestlers, the police officers started behaving badly with them and even abused the women wrestlers.

“If you want to kill us, then kill us,” a crying Vinesh said during a late night media interaction.

“Did we win medals for the country to see this day? We have not even eaten our food. Does every man have a right to abuse women? These police men are holding guns, they can kill us,” an emotionally drained Vinesh said.

“Where were female police officers? How can the male officers push us like that. We are not criminals. We do not deserve such treatment. The police officer who was drunk hit my brother,” the World Championship medallist said.

Bajrang Punia exhorted the farmers and the general public to reach Jantar Mantar in their support.

“I request everyone to reach Delhi by morning. This is the time. If not now, then when. This is question of dignity of our daughters. People like Brij Bhushan (WFI President) are roaming free despite being a criminal and all this is happening to us,” Bajrang said.

Asked to give more details, Bajrang said, “CCTV cameras must be here. Foortage will make it clear.”

Asked specifically if AAP leader Somnath Bharti had brought the folding beds, as being claimed by the Delhi Police, Bajrang said,”CCTV footagecan show he was not there when it happened. We had ordered the beds, we were bringing the beds inside.”

  • Savarkar our idol, won’t tolerate insult: Uddhav to Rahul

Savarkar our idol, won’t tolerate insult: Uddhav to Rahul

    [ad_1]

Malegaon: Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday said he considers Hindutva ideologue V D Savarkar as his “idol”, and asked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to refrain from “insulting” him.

He said the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance of three parties – Sena (UBT), Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) – was formed to protect democracy and it was necessary to work unitedly for it.

Addressing a rally in the Muslim-dominated textile town of Malegaon in Nashik district of north Maharashtra, Thackeray also said that deliberate attempts were on to provoke Rahul Gandhi.

“Savarkar is our idol and his insult will not be tolerated if we have to fight together to protect our democracy. Savarkar suffered unimaginable torture in the Andaman cellular jail for 14 years. We can only read the sufferings. It is a form of sacrifice,” he said.

”I want to tell Rahul Gandhi that we have come together to save our country’s democracy and its Constitution. But you are deliberately being provoked. If we allow this time to get wasted, then democracy will cease to exist. 2024 will be the last election,” he added.

Gandhi was disqualified from the Lok Sabha on Friday, a day after a court in Gujarat’s Surat convicted him in a 2019 defamation case. Addressing a press conference in Delhi over his disqualification, Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said, “My name is not Savarkar, my name is Gandhi and Gandhi does not offer an apology to anyone”.

Thackeray said he supported Gandhi for his Bharat Jodo Yatra.

“Rahul Gandhi spoke well at his press conference yesterday. He raised valid questions about whom does Rs 20,000 crore belong. But the government doesn’t want to answer,” he said.

During his press conference on Saturday, Gandhi said the moot questions remain that who invested Rs 20,000 crore in Adani shell firms and what is the businessman’s relationship with the prime minister.

Targeting the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Thackeray alleged that those who have no connection with the country’s freedom movement were attempting to finish off democracy.

Thackeray, who was addressing his second rally here after Khed in Ratnagiri district since losing the party name and symbol to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, said he was fighting to save democracy and freedom.

“The fight is not about me becoming the chief minister again,” he said.

Thackeray also said NCP leader Anil Deshmukh’s six-year-old granddaughter was questioned by probe agencies and even Lalu Prasad Yadav’s pregnant daughter-in-law was quizzed till she fainted.

“If you criticise those in power, police will be after you,” he said.

“Modi is not India. Did our freedom fighters lay down their lives for this?” he asked.

The former CM wondered how good and honest people in the BJP were tolerating the corrupt people brought into their fold from other parties.

Hitting out at CM Shinde, Thackeray said he doesn’t regret losing the chief minister’s post, but a government doing good work was shamelessly toppled.

“Farmers are facing a lot of hardships and the Shinde government is doing nothing to ease their problems,” he alleged.

Thackeray said he has been robbed of his party’s name and symbol, but traitors can never rob him of the love and affection of the people.

He said his government has taken several steps for the development of the textile sector in Malegaon and farmers and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“During the pandemic, I had spoken to the religious heads in Malegaon and everyone here cooperated with the government initiatives to control the spread of the virus,” he said.

Won’t tolerate insult to Dr Ambedkar: Karnataka min Madhuswamy

    [ad_1]

Bengaluru: In the wake of an objectionable play in a private deemed-to-be-university in the city recently, the Karnataka government on Wednesday said it will not tolerate any insult to the architect of the Indian Constitution Dr B R Ambedkar.

During zero hour in the Karnataka Assembly, JD(S) legislator Dr K Annadani raised the issue of the play allegedly demeaning Dr Ambedkar.

“The government has taken action by arresting some people. Such an insult to Ambedkar is unacceptable. Remove the ‘deemed university’ status and withdraw all the facilities given to the educational institution,” Annadani said and trooped to the well of the House.

Replying to him, the state Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister J C Madhuswamy said, “the government is not in a position to tolerate it. If the management’s role is found then certainly action will be taken,” Madhuswamy said.

On repeated insistence seeking removal of deemed-to-be-university status, Madhuswamy said the government will not yield to whatever was asked for in the House.

Annadani alleged the professor and the dean of the university must be held accountable as they knew about the play when the rehearsal was happening.

The skit that was performed by the students of the Jain (Deemed-to-be) university at a college festival recently, purportedly contained offensive references mocking Dr Ambedkar and Dalits, the portion of which was widely shared on social media. Nine persons including seven students have been arrested in this connection.
