Mumbai: Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has proved that he is one of the best actors in India by playing different roles, is making headlines for quite a time because of his personal life. The actor is involved in a legal fight with his wife and other family members and a lot of blame game was covered by media outlets from past three months about his life. Nawazuddin Siddiqui who enjoys a massive fan following has recently made a shocking revelation by hinting that he might leave acting and everything and become a monk.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is promoting his rom-com Jogira Sara Ra Ra says that he would rather prefer quitting the industry than be stereotyped in a particular role. The actor said this during the trailer launch event of ‘Jogira Sara Ra Ra’. He also opened up about his 20 years of journey in the film industry and how he has evolved as an actor. His statement about a monk left his fans in shock and his future plans are being widely discussed on social media platforms.

The Motichoor Chaknachoor actor stated: “You learn everyday, it’s a new experience which helps enhance your craft. I can’t act the way I used to 20 years ago because today I carry the experience of those many years.”

He added, “It’s important to evolve constantly and with experience, your acting also changes. I can’t be stuck. If someone tells me that they’ll make me a superstar but I’ll have to do just one kind of role, I’ll shoot myself. I’ll quickly get bored, quit it and join some other field.”

In an interview with India TV, Nawazuddin Siddiqui also said, “A man advocates for himself throughout his life, becomes a judge for others, and gives judgment. I want to become a monk. He said, “Mai monk hota ofcourse. Mai shayad chala bhi jau, aapko pta bhi chalega. Haan mujhe bda acha lagega. Jahan par kuch ruhani ho, mujhe acha lagta hai hai wahan.”

Well, time will tell whether he will quit the industry and everything in future or not but currently his statement is what has made his fans anxious.

For the unversed, Nawaz’s upcoming film Jogira Sara Ra Ra which is directed by Kushan Nanday is all set to release on May 12, 2023.

  • Gehlot’s statement a conspiracy: Vasundhara Raje counters Rajasthan CM’s claim

Gehlot’s statement a conspiracy: Vasundhara Raje counters Rajasthan CM’s claim

    [ad_1]

Dhaulpur: Former Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vasundhara Raje countered Ashok Gehlot’s claims, saying Rajasthan Chief Minister is lying out of fear of losing the 2023 Assembly elections and his false allegations show he is rattled by the rebellion in state Congress unit.

Targeting rivals within Congress, Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot credited former chief minister Vasundhara Raje and two other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders for having helped him save his government during the 2020 crisis when some Congress MLAs revolted and tried to topple his government.

Vasundhara Raje said, “Gehlot’s statement against me is a conspiracy. Nobody can insult me as much as Gehlot has done. He is lying out of fear of losing the 2023 Assembly elections and has made such false allegations as he is rattled by the rebellion in his own party”.

    MS Education Academy

Addressing a programme in Dholpur on Sunday, Gehlot divulged that the 2020 crisis was conspired by Union Ministers of the BJP government and claimed that Vasundhara Raje, former Assembly Speaker Kailash Meghwal and MLA Shobharani Kushwaha were not in favour of toppling the elected Congress government.

Gehlot said, “Former Chief Ministers of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Shobha Rani and Kailash Meghwal knew their party people were toppling the government. Vasundhara Raje Scindia and Kailash Meghwal had said that it has never been our tradition to topple the elected government on the basis of money. They did not support those who toppled the government due to which our government survived.”

Targeting rivals within the party, CM Gehlot said he had requested the MLAs, who revolted to return the money they had taken from the BJP so that they could perform without any pressure.

“Amit Shah, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Gajendra Shekhawat conspired together and distributed the money inside the Rajasthan government. I advised our MLAs (who revolted) that even if some of the money taken has been spent by them, they should inform us. I will give you money and tell AICC, but don’t take BJP’s money.

If you will keep their money, they will scare you later, threaten you… They took away 25 MLAs. Amit Shah plays a very dangerous game, give his money back,” Gehlot said while exposing the BJP’s gameplan of toppling his government.
Ashok Gehlot in July 2020 had accused the BJP of trying to overthrow his government by offering Congress lawmakers bribes but the BJP denied any involvement.

The Gehlot and Pilot feud has been simmering since before 2020 and Pilot was sacked as deputy CM and removed as state unit chief.

Pilot again opened a fresh front against Gehlot, his old political rival within the party, alleging that the state government failed to investigate cases of alleged corruption during the Bharatiya Janata Party rule in Rajasthan and announced his plan to hold a day-long fast on April 11 to demand action.

The Congress party called a meeting to resolve the situation regarding Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Congress leader Sachin Pilot, party sources confirmed.

The fresh crisis has emerged months before the assembly polls in the state due late this year.

Pilot is seen as a chief ministerial aspirant but Gehlot, who did not contest the Congress presidential election, is apparently keen not to hand over the reins of the state to him.

The differences between the two had come out sharply in 2020 with Pilot leading a “rebellion” against Gehlot.
The two leaders have taken potshots at each other on several occasions in the past.

Delhi Police yet to record statement of women wrestlers protesting against WFI chief

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: The Delhi Police is yet to record the statement of protesting women wrestlers even after three days since Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh was booked over alleged sexual harassment of the players.

Police are likely to question Singh in connection with the FIRs registered against him, but no official notice has been served to him yet, officials said on Monday, adding that police are yet to record the statement of women wrestlers.

The Delhi Police on Sunday provided security to the female wrestlers, including a minor, who levelled allegations of sexual harassment against Singh.

    MS Education Academy

The Supreme Court had directed the Delhi Police to provide security to the grapplers following their complaints against Singh, who has been booked under sections of outraging the modesty of a woman, stalking, and Section 10 of the POCSO Act in two FIRs.

The BJP MP, who has been accused of sexual harassment by seven women wrestlers and a minor girl, has denied the charges against him.

A group of top wrestlers, who first levelled allegations of sexual harassment against Singh in January, had resumed their sit-in on April 23 at the Jantar Mantar here to demand that the findings of the Centre-appointed panel that probed the charges be made public.

The first FIR pertains to allegations levelled by a minor that has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act along with relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code concerning outraging modesty. The second FIR has been registered for carrying out comprehensive investigations into the complaints by adult complainants under relevant IPC sections on outraging of modesty.

Defamation case lodged against Siddaramaiah for statement on Lingayats

    [ad_1]

Bengaluru: A defamation case was lodged on Tuesday against Karnataka’s Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah over his alleged statement on corruption practised by Lingayat Chief Ministers in the state.

Activist Shankar Sait had lodged a private complaint with the Magistrate court in Bengaluru in this regard. The court had adjourned the matter to April 29, after accepting the petition.

A complaint had also been registered against the Congress leader with the Election Commission in this regard already. The statement that Lingayat CMs indulged in corruption and destroyed the state has stirred a controversy ahead of the May 10 Assembly elections.

    MS Education Academy

The BJP has also made it a big poll issue in the state and used it as a weapon to control the damage caused by the exit of former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar and Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi.

The Lingayat Yuva Vedike Legal Cell, which had lodged a complaint with the Election Commission, claimed that Siddaramaiah had insulted the Lingayat community and defamed it.

Siddaramaiah had clarified that he meant to say Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, who is the present CM, is indulged in corruption and destroyed the state and he didn’t mean to comment about others.

  • I have not issued any statement about moonsighting: Grand Mufti of Kashmir

    [ad_1]

Srinagar, Apr 19: A video is viral on social media wherein the Grand Mufti of Kashmir Nasir-ul-Islam is stating that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Saturday.

To confirm the authenticity of the video, news agency Kashmir News Trust talked to Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam who said there is no statement from his side as far as the celebration of Eid on Saturday is concerned.

“How can I make a statement before a day when no attempt of moon sighting took place,” he said.

“The video that is viral is actually a pre-recorded one and is meant for the Door Darshan. It’s been a practice that DD records my two statements beforehand and airs one of them as per the situation,” he said adding that there were over 10 people in the room and somebody recorded his statement on his cell phone and made it viral.

“It was an attempt to create confusion and I reiterate that I have not issued any statement about moonsighting,” he said. [KNT]

International Astronomical Center Issues Big Statement Regarding Eid Al Fitr 2023 – Kashmir News

    [ad_1]

Dubai: Eid Al Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, could fall on Saturday, April 22, 2023, according to the International Astronomy Centre.

The exact date will only be confirmed based on the moon sighting, with countries across the Islamic world set to investigate the crescent of the month of Shawwal on Thursday, April 20.

The International Astronomy Centre said in a Twitter post that sighting the crescent on Thursday is nearly impossible with the naked eye or a telescope in most Arab and Islamic countries, except parts of West Africa. Specific conditions, such as an accurate telescope, a professional observer, and exceptional weather, are required for the sighting to be possible.

Based on this principle, the centre predicts Eid Al Fitr to fall on Saturday, April 22. The center also clarified that these predictions are based on “astronomical information” and that criteria for the beginning of the month vary across the Islamic world.

The GCC countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait, have already announced Eid Al Fitr holidays for public and private sectors. UAE and Saudi Arabia have declared a four-day weekend, while Qatar has announced an 11-day holiday. Oman and Kuwait will observe a five-day weekend.

The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has called on Muslims to sight the Shawwal crescent on Thursday evening, April 20, and report any sightings to the nearest court or contact center. Muslims with the ability to do so are encouraged to join the committees formed for this purpose and participate in the process of sighting the crescent. (Gulf News)

  • Ocasio-Cortez says Thomas’ statement raises ‘more serious questions’

Ocasio-Cortez says Thomas’ statement raises ‘more serious questions’

    [ad_1]

Thomas issued his statement Friday after ProPublica reported that Crow had paid for multiple trips for the justice and his wife, which included the use of Crow’s yacht, private jet and Adirondacks resort, among other gifts. ProPublica estimated the cost of one vacation as more than $500,000.

New regulations were put into place on March 14 by a Judicial Conference committee to require Supreme Court justices and federal judges to disclose complimentary trips and any other such gifts. In his statement, Thomas promised to follow those restrictions moving forward.

The news sparked outrage among Ocasio-Cortez and many of her Democratic colleagues. She has already called for Thomas’ impeachment and on Sunday said the justice’s actions indicate other consequences for the court.

“I do believe that Chief Justice John Roberts must now come forward and state if he allows, and is allowing this kind of very serious corruption to happen on this court,” she said. “I know that there are calls for Chief Justice Roberts to initiate an investigation. I do not think that this Court any longer has any legitimacy, especially after the Supreme Court leak last year.”

Ocasio-Cortez claimed that it’s the House’ responsibility to oversee an investigation. When asked by CNN’s Dana Bash how a Republican-controlled House would accomplish that, Ocasio-Cortez said: “I admit it is, it is very difficult to see a path in a Republican Party that refuses to hold itself accountable, and in fact, breaches the law itself” — referencing former President Donald Trump’s indictment.

“If it is Republicans that decide to protect those who are breaking the law, then they are the ones who then are responsible for that decision, but we should not be complicit in that,” she said.

Crow, a real-estate developer from Texas, is a director at the conservative American Enterprise Institute and serves on the boards of the American Enterprise Institute, George W. Bush Foundation, and the Supreme Court Historical Society, Reuters reported. He helped found Club for Growth, an influential anti-tax group.
