    SRINAGAR: In a shocking incident, a man tied a dog to his scooty and dragged him on the road. The video of the incident went viral on social media and caught attention of the police, who later arrested the man.

    Srinagar Police in a tweet said,“There is a viral video wherein a bike rider had tied a dog & was dragging this dog. FIR 31/2023 u/s 429 IPC & sec 11 of prevention of cruelty to animals act was registered at Nishat Police station.”

    The accused has been arrested and has been identified as Ab Rashid Dar son of Gh Rasool Dar of Gaw Marg Shalimar. The scooty of the accused has been seized.

    SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said to have arrested two thugs claiming to be black magic practitioners in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

    A Police spokesperson said, two thugs claiming to be black magic practitioners were arrested for duping a person of Rs 40,000 after giving him lift in their car at Nalabal.

    They have been identified as Akhter Ahmed shah & Riyaz Ahmed both residents of Nadihal Dangiwacha Baramulla.

    He said that accordingly FIR was registered at Lal Bazar PS and  money was recovered from their possession.

  • Police Arrests Bootlegger In Srinagar

    SRINAGAR: Police in Srinagar on Tuesday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 35 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.

    The person has been identified as Abdul Hameed Dar a resident of Arizal Budgam and the vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.

    Accordingly, case FIR No: 22/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Batamaloo Police Station.
