Sale Of Jobs Not Allowed In Jk Anymore: LG Sinha On JKSSB Controversy

    [ad_1]

SRINAGAR: Taking a jibe at the mainstream parties that ruled JK over the past seven decades, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Monday said that those who gave jobs to militants and their family members have no right to talk about “fair recruitment.”

Addressing the function regarding laying of foundation stones of various projects related to Jammu Smart City at Jammu Convention Centre, LG Sinha  said that many people don’t want fair recruitment to take place in the UT.

“Those who gave jobs to militants and their family members are raising fingers at the ongoing recruitment processes. These people have no right to do so,” the LG said, adding that “one lakh backdoor appointments were made by these people have made it difficult the administration.”

The LG said that the SSB recruitment issue was raised and complaints were found true after which the administration handed over the case to the country’s premier investigating agency—CBI.

“CBI is still probing the case and so far many arrests have been made. No matter how influential the people involved in the fake recruitments and irregularities, they won’t be spared at all,” he said.

He said that people should remain assured that strict action will be taken against those who are found in irregularities or any other misconduct in the SSB exams.

“Gone are the days when jobs were sold on roads and shops. Jobs will be given to those who have competence and the process of all recruitments will be fair and transparent,” the LG said.

He said that if anyone feels or sees any sort of misconduct in any exam or recruitment process, the same should be brought to the notice of the administration. “I assure a very strict action will be taken against those found involved,” he said.

He said a series of developmental projects are being taken up in Jammu under the Smart City Project. “The face of Jammu will change and the people of Jammu will feel a great and big change in the days and months ahead. The life of Jammuites will be made safe, secure and hassle free through the huge developmental activities that are under way at present,” he said. (KNO)

SRINAGAR: Scores of Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) job aspirants gathered in press enclave on Wednesday to protest against the purported grant of contract to APTECH Ltd. for conduct of various exams in the UT.

The protesting aspirants asked LG administration to look into the matter of frequent paper leaks and scam occurring in Kashmir.

“All blacklisted companies should be banned in Jammu and Kashmir, until action not is taken against these blacklisted companies, no student will sit for any competitive exams,” the protestors opined.

The protesters pointed out that APTECH Ltd. has been involved in numerous scams in other parts of the country including in Rajasthan, Leh, Ambala, and others. “Many national papers have also highlighted these scams, nothing significant is being done to allay the apprehensions of the job aspirants” they said.

The protesters demanded that the Lieutenant Governor administration should rise to the occasion and take necessary measures for the larger benefit of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

  • Aptech Trending For Wrong Reasons In JK

Aptech Trending For Wrong Reasons In JK

    [ad_1]

SRINAGAR: Aptech is trending for all wrong reasons on social media, with various sections of society criticizing LG- Led administrations move of selecting the blacklisted Aptech for conducting Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) exams.

Many political parties expressed their displeasure over the selection of Aptech company for conducting JKSSB exams.

The selected APTECH company is blacklisted by many states including Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan and has also been penalized by the Supreme Court as the said company has failed to uphold integrity of the process of exam conduction.

Taking to micro blogging site Twitter, Azad Democratic Progressive Party (DPAP) Chief Spokesman, Salman Nizami, criticized the move, saying that APTECH has failed to ensure transparency and accountability in conducting such exercises in the past, which is why many states have banned it.

“Awarding a contract to blacklisted Aptech by JKSSB seems a deep rooted conspiracy to spoil the future of J&K’s youth. The contract should be withdrawn immediately & in future never to engage with such companies,” Nizami said.

Lending his support to the JKSSB aspirants on Twitter , Co- founder Study IQ,  one of India’s leading Ed-tech startup, Dr Gaurav Garg said, “Why is a blacklisted company like Aptech given the mandate in the first place? Why is the administration playing with the future of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir? Everyone must support the JKSSB aspirants.”

He added, “There are many companies like TCS which have done a great job in organising exams in India of the scale of IBPS. Why such companies are ignored by JKSSB and a criminal and corrupt blacklisted company like Aptech is given the mandate.”

After the KVS TGT scam was unearthed in Leh, PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti wrote on her twitter that there has been no end  to scams since 2019.

“Despite court directions, blacklisted companies continue conducting these shambolic recruitment exams. Its the students who are paying a huge price while the culprits are given a free run. This has been happening since 2019 & there seems to be no end to it,” she noted.

State Spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Imran Nabi Dar tweeted “JKSSB is the enfant terrible of the incumbent JK administration. The board inspite of addressing the genuine concerns and fear of the educated, skilled local youth seems hell bent to destroy their future by continuously persisting with a block listed company like APTECH.”

Cautioning JKSSB over the murky past of JKSSB ,  Peoples Confrence President,Sajad Lone said, “ I have received a lot of emails and messages about APTECH which has been blacklisted in other states Given the shoddy track record of past, SSRB better tread with caution. Students need to be heard. You can’t thrust a black listed company on our future.”

Meanwhile, various JKSSB aspirants have expressed their anguish over the move and have appealed to LG administration to look into the matter and remove “tainted” APTECH and hire a more credible organistion to conduct exams smoothly.
