Lock Upp Season 2: Premiere date of Kangana Ranaut’s show

Mumbai: Fans of another captive and controversial hit reality show, Lock Upp, have been eagerly waiting for the return of its season 2 and it seems like the wait is finally over! Hosted by Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and backed by Ekta Kapoor, the show stream on MX Player and Alt Balaji. Karan Kundrra was the jailor in season 1.
Lock Upp 2 Premiere Date
According to fresh buzz, makers are already in talks with several celebrities to take part in the show which is likely to go on air in the last week of February. However, an official announcement from the makers and producer Ekta Kapoor is still awaited.
Bigg Boss season 16 will conclude in the second week of February, so Lock Upp 2’s premiere right after Salman Khan’s show will be a treat for the reality show audience.

Munawar Faruqui won the first season of Lock Upp and Payal Rohatgi emerged as the first runner-up on the show that concluded in May last year.
Speaking more about Lock Upp, the captive reality show will see Kangana overlooking the affairs of the 16 ‘controversial’ contestants who will be locked up inside the jail for 72 days. All the contestants have no option but to reveal their dark secrets to the entire world to avoid elimination and survive in the show.
All the inmates must navigate their way through a series of challenges and obstacles, all while facing the scrutiny of their fellow prisoners and the watchful eye of the show’s host.

After chilly winter season, Hyderabad may witness harsh summer

Hyderabad: The residents of Hyderabad who were witnessing the chilly winter season for the past few weeks are likely to see harsh summer in the coming months as El Nino event may make 2023 hotter.
The last three years were La Nino years whereas, the upcoming year is likely to be El Nino which not only makes summer harsher but also results in monsoon failure.
What are El Nino and La Nino?
El Nino and La Nino are two climate patterns. While El Nino is known for the abnormal warming of surface water in the eastern tropical pacific ocean whereas, La Nino results in the unusual cooling of the tropical eastern pacific.
Due to this unusual warming and cooling of surface water, the monsoon in India is adversely affected. In intense La Nino, flood poses risk to crops whereas, in El Nino, the agriculture sector faces drought conditions.
Their impact on seasons in Hyderabad
The duration of the La Nino event is between one to three years whereas, El Nino continues for less than a year.
For the past three years, Hyderabad along with other parts of the country was seeing chilly winter season and good monsoon due to La Nino, however, El Nino which is likely to be witnessed in the upcoming months may make summer hotter.
Hyderabad may see harsh summer after chilly winter
During the past few weeks, Hyderabad saw chilly winter season. The minimum temperate dropped to 6.5 degrees Celsius last week.
However, in the next few months, the city is likely to see rise in temperature. Even the monsoon season in the city is likely to be impacted due to the El Nino event.

In 2015, the El Nino event has significantly increased the temperature in the city during the summer. It has also affected rainfall and crop output in India.

Telangana: Rs.13,750 crore worth paddy procured this Vanakalam season

Hyderabad: The Vanakalam season has brought good luck as 64.30 lakh metric tonnes of paddy worth Rs.13,750 crore was procured from 9.76 lakh farmers in the state.

The Vanakalm season concluded after 94 days. It began on October 21 last year.
Consumer Affairs Food & Civil Supplies Minister G Kamalakar said on Saturday that those who harvested late during the season can still procure till Tuesday, January 24.
According to the minister, 7,024 procurement centers were set up ensuring no farmer should be left behind.
“Considering the hardships faced by farmers from remote areas in transporting their stocks, procurement centers were set up within their reach. Already, 12,700 crores were deposited into the farmer’s account and the balance will be credited in a week,” he said in a meeting with officials.

Nizamabad stood first with 5.86 lakh metric tonnes of procured paddy followed by 4.75 lakh metric tonnes from Kamareddy and 4.13 lakh metric tonnes from Nalgonda.
