Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Haj and Umrah said that the duration of the Umrah visa is 90 days, and it begins from the moment the pilgrim enters the territory of the Kingdom.

This came in response to an inquiry on the ministry’s Twitter account, asking that Umrah visa has been issued, bearing in mind that it will expire after the Haj season, so will the pilgrims leave before the Haj?

In response, the ministry of Haj and Umrah stated that the visa “starts from the date of entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the necessity of adhering to the validity period of the visa.”

In the same context, the Ministry of Haj clarified that the length of stay for those coming with Umrah visas is 90 days.

On April 15, Saudi Arabia has opened reservations to perform Umrah at the Grand Mosque, Islam’s holiest site in Makkah, during the current Islamic month of Shawwal that began on April 21.

Reservations are made through the Nusuk application, which allows Muslims wishing to perform Umrah or visit holy places in Saudi Arabia to obtain the appropriate visas and permits, in addition to packages related to purchasing online.

According to the Saudi authorities, obtaining an electronic permit for Umrah is still mandatory.

Millions of Muslims, who cannot physically or financially afford the annual haj, flock to Saudi Arabia to perform the Umrah pilgrimage.

In recent months, the Kingdom has unveiled a host of facilities for Muslims abroad to come to the country to perform the Umrah.

Iran evacuates 65 nationals from Sudan with Saudi Arabia’s help

    [ad_1]

Tehran: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani has said that Iran had evacuated 65 nationals from Sudan with the help of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement posted on the website of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Kanaani on Saturday added that the Iranian evacuees were transferred safely from Khartoum to Port Sudan and then to the Saudi port city of Jeddah.

While praising the Saudi government for its “effective cooperation” and the Sudanese government for its assistance during the evacuation, the spokesman said necessary arrangements had been made to transfer the evacuees from Saudi Arabia to Iran.

A growing number of countries have evacuated citizens from Sudan since fierce clashes broke out between the Sudanese Army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces in mid-April, Xinhua news agency reported.

At least 459 people have been killed and more than 4,000 wounded so far in the fighting in Sudan, with hundreds of thousands of people displaced, according to estimates by the WHO and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Saudi Arabia and Iran reached a deal in March to resume diplomatic relations and reopen embassies and missions in the two countries within two months.

On April 6, the two countries announced the resumption of diplomatic relations with immediate effect.

  • Saudi Arabia, Iran to reopen embassies ‘within days’

Saudi Arabia, Iran to reopen embassies ‘within days’

    [ad_1]

Beirut: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that Saudi Arabia and Iran will reopen their embassies in both countries within days.

This comes after the two countries agreed to restore relations in March after a series of events in 2016 led to the severing of diplomatic relations.

Amir-Abdollahian made the statement during a press conference in the Lebanese capital of Beirut.

    MS Education Academy

Abdollahian added that his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, would accept his invitation to visit Tehran pointing out that he had received a similar invitation to visit the Kingdom.

He indicated that the date of the two visits would be agreed upon “through diplomatic channels.”

Earlier this April, the Saudi newspaper “Okaz” revealed the Iranian embassy in Riyadh opened its doors for the first time in seven years.

On April 6 in Beijing, the foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia signed a joint statement to begin arrangements to reopen embassies and consulates, expand bilateral relations and cooperation, and resume flights.

These steps come after Saudi Arabia and Iran announced on March 10 the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and the reopening of their embassies, following Chinese mediation, after seven years of tensions.

The relationship began to deteriorate in 2015 after Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) intervened in the Yemen war after the Iran-aligned Houthi group overthrew the Riyadh-backed government and took control of the capital, Sanaa.

Tensions between the two countries have led to conflicts across the region, including the Syrian Civil War.

  • Is Cristiano Ronaldo to leave Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr and join Real Madrid?

Is Cristiano Ronaldo to leave Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr and join Real Madrid?

    [ad_1]

Riyadh: Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly planning to leave the Saudi Arabian football club, Al-Nassr and is considering taking a new position at his former club Real Madrid.

According to El Nacional, Ronaldo has opted to leave Saudi Arabia because of linguistic and cultural problems.

As per media reports, Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez has offered the footballer an ambassadorial role at his former club. But reports indicate that if Cristiano returns, he will be a club ambassador.

    MS Education Academy

On December 30, Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr on a 2.5-year contract. He had signed a deal worth more than 200 million euros after a dispute with Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag.

Since joining the Al-Nassr, he has scored 11 goals in 14 appearances but has run into a few bumps in his path.

He missed the first two games of the league due to the suspension he served at Manchester United, the team could not sustain that spark with Ronaldo starting well as captain at Al-Nassr.

After losing the match against Al Hilal in the Saudi League, Al-Nassr’s status in the league is deteriorating. Cristiano’s obscene gesture towards Al-Hilal fans after returning from defeat became very controversial. Hilal’s victory was by two uncontested goals in a game where Cristiano faded.

On April 18, a Saudi lawyer called for Cristiano Ronaldo to be deported for public indecency after he appeared grabbing his crotch towards fans while walking off the pitch.

A video shared on social media platforms showed Ronaldo grabbing his crotch as he left the pitch in response to fans chanting the name of Lionel Messi.

It is reported that all this and more led to Ronaldo’s decision to leave Al-Nassr and join the Spanish giants.

  • Saudi Aramco overtakes Microsoft as world’s 2nd largest company by market value

Saudi Aramco overtakes Microsoft as world’s 2nd largest company by market value

    [ad_1]

Riyadh: Saudi oil giant Aramco has displaced American technology giant Microsoft to become the world’s second-largest company by market value at 7.92 trillion Saudi Riyals (2.11 trillion dollars) as the company’s stock prices hit 36 Saudi Riyals (9.60 dollars) on Wednesday, local media reported.

Apple still holds the top of the ranking, with a market value of approximately 2.6 trillion dollars, followed by Aramco at 2.11 trillion dollars, then Microsoft at 2.05 trillion dollars.

According to Arabic daily Al-Arabiya.net, the rise in Saudi Aramco’s shares came after Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced, this month, the transfer of 4 per cent of its shares to Sanabel Investment Company, which is wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF).

    MS Education Academy

Aramco achieved, in 2022, the highest profits since the listing, up by 46.5 per cent, to reach 604 billion Saudi riyals, compared to 412.4 billion Saudi Riyals in 2021.

It is noteworthy that “Aramco” is the most profitable company in the world, as its profits for the year 2022 exceed the profits of “Apple”, “Microsoft” and “ExxonMobil” combined, according to the classification of the “companies market cap” website.

The rise of Aramco’s shares also coincided with the rise in crude oil prices, the increase in the company’s sales volumes, the significant increase in profit margins from the refining and chemicals business, as well as the decline in US crude stocks, despite the pessimistic global economic outlook.
