    DC Kulgam reviews implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G)

    KULGAM, FEBRUARY 15: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of officers to review the implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G) in rural areas of the district at mini-secretariat, here.

    During the meeting, the DC took a detailed review of the status/ implementation of SBM-G and plastic waste management plan in rural areas.

    ACP informed the chair that under SBM-G phase II, 3545 IHHLS were constructed. He also informed the chair that 35 community sanitary Complexes were constructed against the target of 91.

    The DC instructed the concerned to scale up pace of work and ensure completion of rest of the Community Sanitary Complexes within the set deadline.

    He also impressed upon the concerned to submit a plan for 84 community Liquid Soak Pits under Liquid Waste Management (LWM) within days.

    With regard to plastic waste management, the chair was apprised that Land has been identified in Block Kulgam for execution of plastic waste management unit and DPR has been framed for this PWM unit.

    The chair was also informed that in all 178 panchayats door to door waste collection has been started.

    During the meeting the DC also reviewed progress made on the Citizen App.

    ACP also informed the DC that estimation of 11 panchayat ghars for repairs and renovation have been completed by the concerned.

    The meeting was attended by JD-Planning Zahid Sajad, ACP Shurjeel Ali, Ex. Engineer REW, BDOs and other concerned officers.

    Hyderabad: CS Santhi Kumari reviews Gandipet development works

    Hyderabad: Telangana State Chief Secretary (CS) Santhi Kumari while inspecting development works at Gandipet Lake on Tuesday said that walking and cycle tracks have to be completed soon.

    The CS Shanti Kumari and Special Chief Secretary Aravind Kumar reviewed the development and beautification works of the lake at BRBK Bhavan.

    As a part of phase one of the beautification works, officials were directed to start the site inspection immediately and complete the walking track and the cycling track works.

    Rangareddy district Collector Harish, Sangareddy District Collector Sharath, HMDA, Endowment and Revenue officers and others were present at the conference.

    The Chief Secretary asked the Endowment officials to take action regarding the cases pending in the court. She said that the plans have to be drafted for the beautification of the lake and park areas have to be developed.

    Secretary Health reviews Ayushman Bharat PMJAY SEHAT scheme in J&K

    Srinagar, Feb 11: Secretary, Health and Medical Education (H&ME), Bhupinder Kumar, today chaired a meeting to review implementation of Ayushman Bharat PMJAY/ SEHAT scheme in J&K.

    Chief Executive Officer (CEO), State Health Agency (SHA), Sanjiv Gadkar gave a detailed presentation about implementation of the scheme in J&K. He informed that more than 98 per cent of families of J&K have at least one Ayushman Card and more than 83 per cent beneficiaries have received Ayushman cards.

    He further informed that more than three lakh treatments have been performed under the scheme during the current policy period and claims amount worth over Rs. 430 crore stand released in favour of the hospitals. He further gave a detailed overview of the work done by Public and Private empanelled hospitals.

    CEO further informed that action against the 25 erring hospitals has been initiated and the State Anti Fraud Unit is closely monitoring the activities of all such hospitals.

    Secretary H&ME said that Ayushman Bharat PMJAY/ SEHAT scheme is one of the most ambitious schemes of J&K and its effective implementation has improved the access of people to better healthcare considerably. He stressed upon the different stakeholders to strengthen monitoring and evaluation and make sure that actions are directed towards the resolve of zero tolerance to fraud under the scheme. Ho added that the government will not hesitate in de-empanelment and blacklisting of hospitals if they indulge in fraud activities.

    Bhupinder directed both Directors Health Services Kashmir and Jammu to keep vigil on different laboratories working under their jurisdiction and see if they comply with the guidelines under the scheme. He stressed upon the participants to improve reporting/analysis under the scheme especially scale up activities under the beneficiary feedback system, beneficiary audit, table top audit exercises and State Anti fraud Unit.

    The meeting was attended by Directors of Health Services, Jammu and Kashmir, Deputy Secretary H&ME Tak, State Nodal Officer, SHA, Sanam Mansoor and other senior functionaries of Health and Medical Education Department.(GNS)

    Says Once Completed, It Will Help Curbing Crime Rate In J&K

    Jammu, Jan 30 (GNS): Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh chaired a high level meeting to review the project status of implementation of UT wide CCTV Surveillance System across Jammu and Kashmir at Police Headquarters here on Monday.

    Speaking on the occasion, the DGP said that the aim of implementation of CCTV Surveillance System across the J&K is to provide a safe and secure environment to the people and visitors, according to a statement issued by police to GNS.

    He said that the system would help in instilling confidence in the citizens of being secured. “By this system we will keep an eye on the ground 24X7,” he added.

    It will help in curbing the crime rate in J&K and will be useful in identification and nabbing of anti national elements and criminals with an alerts generated by the system once commissioned, he said.

    “When completed it should be a State of the Art facility, and futuristic plans must be kept in mind as CCTV cameras numbers would continue to be added in future as per the needs.”

    The DGP stressed that day to day activity upon the project should be shared among the members to know the pace of the work. He said equipment and logistics to be used for the project must be of quality.

    The top police officer impressed upon the officers to take all the necessary measures for completing the project in time, by meeting the deadlines.

    He impressed upon the System Integrated Project to work 24X7 and complete the project in the stipulated time.

    He directed ADGP Armed to take regular meetings of the task force to monitor the implementation of the project closely.

    DIG NKR Vivek Gupta, DIG CKR Sujit Kumar, DIG SKR Rayees Mohammad Bhat, DIG RP Range Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal, IT Consultant for J&K Govt Sanjay Gaden, and Project Manager IT Deptt. J&K Irfan Ahmad attended the meeting through video conferencing.

    ADGP Armed J&K Gillani briefed the DGP about the various measures taken for the implementing the project work. “There was thread bare discussions on the different components of the projects, and valuable suggestions were exchanged.” (GNS)

    Over 12,000 farmers, 1800 traders availing benefits from online linkage

    Jammu, Jan 25 (GNS): Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department, Atal Dulloo, reviewed the status of linkage of mandis of Jammu and Kashmir with e-National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) in a meeting held at Civil Secretariat here today.

    Under e-NAM, Mandis or Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMC) are provided an online pan-India electronic trading portal.

    In a PowerPoint Presentation given by Director Horticulture (P&M), Vikas Sharma, it was revealed that 9 mandis were onboarded in August 2022 in addition to the already onboard mandis of Narwal and Parimpora. He informed that DPRs have been submitted for adding more mandis.

    ACS had a detailed information regarding breakup of number of farmers, traders, commission agents and FPOs registered with the individual mandis. He was apprised that over 12 thousand farmers and more than 1800 traders are availing benefits from this online linkage.

    ACS was also apprised of thirty seven inter-state trade transactions being facilitated by e-NAM.

    Pertinently, eNAM has successfully achieved trade figures of over Rs. 30 crore as well as fostered encouraging outcomes in interstate trade.

    ACS enquired about the facilities being provided to the registered members and instructed the officers to ensure that trade volume of each mandi increases over time.

    ACS also had deliberations with the officers regarding the process of identification of suitable land in coordination with the District Administration for creation of new mandis at Kishtwar, Bandipora, Samba and Reasi for overall development of the agriculture sector.

    It was noted that all CA stores and warehouses can be declared as sub market yards and that this process would be fast-tracked in the coming month. Also, it was decided that e-auctioning of the unallotted shop sites in various Mandis will be done.

    Further, it was revealed that the State Agriculture Marketing Board (SAMB) is going to meet twice a year to take important decisions for overall development of Horticulture sector, functioning of fruit and vegetable markets and for regulation of agriculture marketing in the UT.

    It was informed found that there are a total of 36 mandis in the state, with 22 currently functional and 14 in various stages of development.

    The meeting was attended by Secretary in Agriculture Production Department, Shabnam Kamili, Joint Director Horticulture Planning & Marketing, Digvijay Gupta, Deputy Director Jammu (Horticulture Planning & Marketing), Ayaz Ahmad Natnoo, Area Marketing Officers of various districts, President and members of Fruit Association Narwal, Jammu and GMI Horticulture (Planning & Marketing), Dr Sudhanshu Gupta.

    Officials of Horticulture (Planning & Marketing) from Kashmir and a representative from SFAC Delhi were also present virtually.(GNS)
