    Watch Viral Video: Cat jumps on Imam as he recites Ramadan prayers

    The heartwarming video has won hearts over the internet. Reports suggest that the video is from Algeria. In the 28-second-long clip, an Imam can be seen reciting Ramzan prayers.

    During the prayer, the cat literally jumped on the Imam but he was unfazed by it. He even petted it during the recitation. The cat ‘kisses’ Iman on the face. However, the worshipper maintains his concentration and continues his prayer while closing his eyes.

    Turkey earthquake: Man recites Quran while he was being pulled from rubble

    After the two devastating earthquakes that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday, February 6, the smell of death lingered. The tragic stories much like the debris, kept piling one atop the other.

    A video clip, spread on social media, documented the moment the rescue teams pulled out a Turkish officer from under the rubble of his collapsed house after 104 hours, as he recited verses from the Quran.

    The video of 47-year-old surviving Turkish officer Osman Furat, showed rescue teams removing a citizen from among the rubble while he was reading verses from Surah Al-Baqarah aloud.

    In another video clip spread on social media that showed an elderly person under the rubble of the earthquake in the state of Kahramanmaraş in southern Turkey, and next to him was a copy of the Holy Quran that he kept throughout his life.

    It is noteworthy that the two devastating earthquake of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 that struck both Turkey and Syria has so far claimed nearly 35,000 lives, amid expectations that the number will rise further.

    MP: teacher gets notice after boy recites poem critical of Mahatma Gandhi

    Seoni: The Madhya Pradesh Education Department has issued a show-cause notice to a government school teacher after a student recited a poem critical of Mahatma Gandhi during a function.

    A video of the incident which took place two days ago also showed an MLA of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) clapping during the recital.

    On February 5, an event had been organised at a CM Rise School in Dunda Seoni area of Seoni district as part of the ongoing Vikas Yatra of the state government.

    A student recited a poem which accused the Mahatma of being silent during a period of violence, apparently referring to events during the Partition. It also questioned who were the ones who went to the gallows for the country if only the spinning wheel won India freedom “as we were taught”.\

    In a video that went viral, Seoni’s BJP MLA Dinesh Rai Munmun was seen clapping when the boy was reciting the poem.

    District Education Officer Kamal Kishore Patel told PTI on Tuesday that a show-cause notice has been served to the teacher who had guided the student, and a report has been sought from the principal.

    School principals and teachers have been directed to conduct preview of performances planned during such programs and ensure that no religion, caste or great personality is disrespected, he added.

    Congress leaders submitted a memorandum to the district administration demanding suspension of the teacher. District Congress president Rajkumar Khurana said the BJP was responsible for the incident as its ideology taught the child to insult Mahatma Gandhi.

    District Congress spokesperson Rajik Aqueel said the BJP MLA was seen clapping during the poem recital which insulted Mahatma Gandhi by depicting wrong history.

    MLA Munmun, on the other hand, said the incident concerned children and it should not be taken seriously. Children should not be dragged into politics, he added.
