    Telangana: Agri college spread over 35 acres inaugurated in Rajanna-Sircilla

    Hyderabad: In order to strengthen the agricultural sector in Telangana, the second-largest agricultural college in the state affiliated with Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University was inaugurated in the Rajanna-Sirisilla district on Wednesday.

    Spread over an area of ​​35 acres, the college building bears separate hostels for male and female students, agricultural research field, computer labs, a laboratory, seminar rooms and a modern library that has been set up on 16 acres in G Plus 2 style.

    Telangana urban development minister KT Rama Rao who inaugurated the vast campus said, “There was a possibility for students to become the top agronomists in the country if facilities provided in the college were utilized properly. Students should reach a position to create jobs by emerging as entrepreneurs and industrialists.”

    While flying to Sircilla in a helicopter, KTR along with assembly speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and agriculture minister S Niranjan Reddy, had an aerial view of the Konda Pochamma Sagar, Mallana Sagar, Ranganayaka Sagar, Annapurna Reservoir and the Mid Manair Reservoir and said, “None of these reservoirs existed in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, but now they have been developed as they played a crucial role in the expansion of cultivation area in the district.”

    Srinivas Reddy praised the developmental activities uptaken by the minister and said KTR had ensured the development of the district.

    “Rajanna-Sircilla district stood in first place in Telangana with a major improvement in the groundwater table while the cultivation area in the state has increased by 2.30 lakh acres from 1.80 lakh acres with the construction of irrigation projects,” said Srinivas.

    Niranjan Reddy said there was a shortage of agriculture colleges in the country. Out of 700 agricultural colleges across the country, only 73 were in the government sector.

    In another development, a primary processing centre, built under the auspices of the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation in the district of Rajanna Sircilla was inaugurated by KTR.

    Later in the day, another statue of Dr BR Ambedkar was unveiled by KTR in the district.

    Telangana: KTR inaugurates multiple development works in Rajanna-Sircilla

    Hyderabad: Telangana municipal administration minister KT Rama Rao on inaugurated ‘Palle Dawakhana’ developed with Rs 20 lakh in Jillella of Thangallapalli Mandal on Monday.

    Rural clinics with modern touches with the aim of providing better medical services to rural people were opened which are touted to be the first facility of their kind in a rural area in Telangana.

    Speaking after the inaugural, KTR said, “Telangana was the only state which was paying the highest salaries to ASHA workers. Though there was a need to increase the salaries of ASHA workers, the government could not do it because of the pandemic.”

    Promising to protect the interests of workers by providing all kinds of assistance, KTR advised them to think if they were provoked by unions for their selfish gains.

    Palle Dawakhana, Basti Dawakhana, health profile, free diagnostic services, KCR kits and other programmes have been implemented in the state as innovative programmes to provide better medical services to the people, stated KTR.

    Science lab at Zilla Parishad High School

    As part of Rajanna Sirisilla’s district visit, the municipal administration minister also inaugurated a science lab at Zilla Parishad High School in Tangallapally Mandal of the district.

    Later, the statue of goddess Saraswati that was installed on the school premises, was unveiled.

    The Telangana government is setting up labs with all the latest infrastructural facilities to facilitate classroom learning so that the students can benefit through laboratory research.

    Special efforts to increase scientific curiosity among students, strengthen quality research and make better education more accessible to students are being made.

    Hyderabad: Rajanna-Sircilla district in Telangana secured first place in the 4-star ranking category of the Swach Survekshan Grameen rankings of the central government. The district bagged the national-level first rank in the quarter of November and December 2022 as well, for its overall development performance in the municipality and on other parameters,

    The official handle of the Swach Bharat on Twitter announced the name of districts that won the 4-star category rankings under the Survekshan Grameen rankings.

    “well done Rajanna Sircilla District of Telangana, Bhopal District of Madhya Pradesh & Peddapalli District of Telangana for achieving ist, 2nd & 3rd ranks respectively in Quarter (oct-Dec 22) under swachhsrvekshanGrameen 2023 in 4-star category complements,” the tweet said.

    Anurag Jayanthi, collector of District Rajanna-Sircilla also tweeted that Rajanna Sircilla district led the rankings in the country in Swachh Survekshan Grameen under the star 4 category showcasing the results of the State government’s Palle Pragathi programme.

    IT and Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) also retweeted the announcement and appreciated the district administration for securing the national level first rank. He also credited the Rajanna-Sircilla district collector for the same.

    “Congratulations team Sircilla led by Collector -RSL my compliments to all Sarpanchs Panchayat secretaries MPOs and district officers”. KTR tweeted.

    Aside from that, Peddapalli district of Telangana bagged the third rank of the same ranking, while followed by Bhopal district of Madhya Pradesh came second.
