Eid Prayer At 9 am At Jama Masjid Srinagar: Anjuman Auqaf

    [ad_1]

SRINAGAR: Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar announced that due to inclement weather and water logging at historic Eidgah Srinagar, Eid-ul-Fitr prayer will be held at 9 am at Jama Masjid Srinagar  instead.

In a statement, Anjuman urged Muslims to pay Sadaqah Fitr, which is fixed at Rs 65 per person, before Eid prayer so that deserving people also join Eid festivities.

The Anjuman once again strongly demanded unconditional release of its detained head Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq before Eid.

  • Saudi: 20,714 mosques readied for Eid Al-Fitr prayer

Saudi: 20,714 mosques readied for Eid Al-Fitr prayer

    [ad_1]

Riyadh: In preparations for the Eid Al-Fitr prayer, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has announced that 20,714 mosques and outdoor areas across the Kingdom are ready.

The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance has equipped these sites with the necessary safety measures to ensure a safe environment for worshippers.

The ministry has assigned more than 6,000 observers, both men and women, to monitor mosques and places of prayer and follow up on the operations of maintenance and operating companies.

    MS Education Academy

The ministry called on citizens to communicate with them in the event that anyone monitors or notices something that needs reform in the services provided to mosques.

According to the Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta, if the Eid falls on a Friday, then it is permissible for those who attend the Eid prayer not to attend the Friday prayer, but rather perform the Dhuhr prayer instead.

However, the ministry advises that it is best to perform Eid prayers and Friday prayers. Those who did not attend the Eid prayer are obliged to perform the Friday prayer.

The ministry issued instructions to the imams to perform the Friday prayer if that coincided with Eid so that those who did not witness the Eid prayer could perform the Friday prayer. But if there is not a sufficient number of worshipers for the Friday prayer, then the Dhuhr prayer is performed.

The ministry confirmed that the call to prayer (Azaan or Adhan) is prescribed only in mosques where Friday prayers are held. The call to prayer is not prescribed for the noon prayer on that day.

Those who attended the Eid prayer must perform the Dhuhr prayer if they did not attend the Friday prayer. The ministry relied on the committee’s fatwa, which states that Friday and Dhuhr prayers are not obligatory to perform the Eid prayer, which is incorrect and wrong.

Despite the restrictions of the Israeli occupation in the Old City of Jerusalem, the Islamic Endowments Department reported that 250,000 worshippers performed the last Friday prayer of the month of Ramzan at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in a majestic scene that was captured by the cameras.

Palestinian media reported pictures and video clips of huge numbers of Palestinians coming from various cities to pray at Al-Aqsa.

The courtyards and chapels of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which covers an area of 144 dunams (a dunam is equivalent to 1,000 square meters), as well as the nearby ancient streets of Jerusalem, were filled with worshippers.

    MS Education Academy

The Israeli police said in a statement that it had deployed about 2,000 Israeli policemen in East Jerusalem and the Old City area, Anadolu Agency reported.

The Israeli army estimated that approximately 72,000 Palestinians from the West Bank crossed Israeli checkpoints into Jerusalem to perform Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa.

The Israeli police arrested 17 suspects for questioning after Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to a report by The Jerusalem Post, the suspects whose faces were covered with masks waved flags and banners supporting terrorist organizations and chanted incitements to violence.

Every Friday of the holy month, the crowds continued to pray in it, despite the Israeli forces’ attacks on the worshipers and those in Itikaf.
