Hyderabad: Stating that his arrest in the Class 10 examination paper leakage was part of the ‘larger conspiracy’ by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi government led by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party president Bandi Sanjay on Thursday said such conspiracies would not demoralise the party and the cadre.

“Arresting me and harassing the BJP workers were like hitting the ball to the ground. We shall only bounce back with the same force,” Sanjay said in an open letter to the party leaders and cadre on the occasion of the BJP foundation day celebrations.

The letter was released through Sanjay’s brother Bandi Sravan Kumar, who called on him in Karimnagar jail in the morning, the saffron party said.

The BJP president said the BRS government had ‘foisted false cases’ against him only because he had taken up cudgels on behalf of 30 lakh unemployed youth who had suffered due to leakage of question papers of recruitment tests conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission, exposing the ‘failure of KCR’s son K T Rama Rao’, who holds the ‘responsibility’ for the same in the capacity of state IT minister.

“I am not new to facing cases, arrests, and imprisonments. I am ready to go to jail any number of times for the sake of people. My entire worry is about the future of 30 lakh unemployed youth, with whose lives the KCR government is playing. While his family members, party leaders, and cronies are getting plum positions, the unemployed youth who had fought for the formation of Telangana is being denied their legitimate right to get jobs,” he said.

Sanjay reminded that the BRS government had ‘taken the lives of 27 Intermediate students’ due to malpractices in spot valuation in the past and now, it was playing with the lives of Class 10 students.

“It was the BJP which had raised its voice in Parliament against sacrifices of youth during the movement for separate state. Now, it is the same BJP which is fighting for the cause of the unemployed and the students,” he remarked.

Stating that there is no question of succumbing to the conspiracies of KCR and giving up the fight, Sanjay recalled how Prime Minister Narendra Modi had withstood ‘similar conspiracies’ hatched by the previous rulers against him post-Godhra violence in Gujarat in the form of court cases and ‘malicious campaign’ in the media.

“Yet, Modi did not backtrack and bounced back to power to become the Prime Minister of the country with the support of party workers,” he said.

The BJP president regretted that he was not able to be present at the Prime Minister’s meeting at Hyderabad on April 8 and appealed to the party leaders to mobilise huge crowds including the unemployed youth to the rally and make it a success.

Sanjay said the time had come to uproot the corrupt KCR government which was caught ‘neck-deep in various scams’ such as illicit liquor trade, drug peddling, question paper leakages, gambling, and land encroachments.

“Since the BJP is exposing all these scams involving KCR’s son and daughter, the government is targeting me and throwing me behind the bars in false cases, so as to damage the image of the BJP,” he said.

“Wednesday’s arrest ‘drama’ was only to divert the attention of the people from the allegation made by senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai who disclosed that KCR had offered to bear the entire election expenditure of all the opposition parties in the country if he was made the chairman of opposition front,” he added.

SSC question paper leak controversy: Staff to undergo frisking at exam centers

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: The recent controversy of the SSC question paper leak in Telangana has prompted authorities to take additional precautions in the remaining examinations.

From now onward, not only students, but the staff on exam duty will also undergo frisking. Staff will be frisked by police personnel at the examination centers, Telangana Today reported.

Mobile phones will not be allowed

To ensure that the examinations are conducted free from any kind of malpractice, the school education department has instructed the staff not to carry their mobile phones inside the examination centers. In addition, officials from other government departments will be deployed to monitor the examinations for any potential irregularities.

    MS Education Academy

Apart from the presence of police pickets, additional teams in civilian clothes will be deployed near the examination centers to prevent any untoward incidents.

Telangana SSC question paper leak controversy

These decisions were taken after the recent incidents wherein SSC exam papers were leaked on WhatsApp just minutes after the commencement of the examinations.

The second language Hindi question paper was leaked at an exam center in Warangal on Tuesday morning. On the first day of the exams, the Telugu question paper was leaked on WhatsApp by a teacher who was on duty as an invigilator at an exam center in Tandur, Vikarabad.

In response to these controversies, the authorities have taken the decision to frisk not only the students but also the staff on exam duty at the examination centers. This additional measure aims to prevent any potential leaks or malpractices during the examinations and to maintain the credibility of the examination process.

Telangana BJP demands resignation of Edu Min over SSC question paper leak

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Telangana state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Monday demanded the resignation of state education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy for the alleged question paper leak of Class 10 examination in Vikarabad.

Reacting strongly to the reports of the question paper leak of Telugu subject in Class 10 examinations, Sanjay, in a statement, charged the Telangana government of failing to conduct even Class 10 examinations in a fool-proof manner without giving scope for any leakage of question papers.

Holding the K Chandrasekhar Rao government responsible for the question paper leak, he said it was unfortunate that such leakage of question papers had become routine during the KCR regime.

    MS Education Academy

“It is shameful on the part of the KCR government to continue despite the fact that it cannot conduct even Class 10 examinations properly, which proved to be a curse for the students,” he said.

Sanjay also alleged that the state government was deliberately indulging in the leakage of question papers to benefit some corporate and private schools. “It has miserably failed to control the usage of technology for question paper leakage,” he said.

He said, “The students were already under tremendous stress on writing the examination covering the entire syllabus and the leakage of question papers would add to their stress further. Such thoughtless decisions will put the lives of students in jeopardy.”

Demanding that the government should discuss with the legal experts and do justice to the students on the question paper leakage, Sanjay asked the government to see that at least the remaining examinations were held in a fool-proof manner in a peaceful atmosphere.

“I request the students not to feel stressed out but write the examinations with a cool mind,” he added.

BSP leader demands President’s intervention in TSPSC paper leak case

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Bahujan Samaj Party’s (BSP) Telangana President R.S. Praveen Kumar has written to President Droupadi Murmu, seeking her intervention to replace Chairman and members of Telangana State Public Service commission (TSPSC) which has been rocked by a question paper leak.

Praveen Kumar, a retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, has also requested the her to order a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the question paper leak scandal.

He argued that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the state government is not at all competent to investigate such a serious scandal. Not much can be expected from the SIT which reports to the Chief Minister whose office itself is under the cloud of suspicion, he wrote.

    MS Education Academy

The press briefing by the Chief Minister’s son K.T. Rama Rao on behalf of the TSPSC and SIT is further adding strength to the suspicion that SIT is formed by the government only to save the actual perpetrators who are holding high offices from prosecution and punish only the small fry and give the case unceremonious burial, he alleged. This is precisely the reason why the BSP is requesting for an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which has a proven track record of successfully investigating such scandals in the country since independence, he added.

He also wrote that the future of lakhs of job aspirants is at stake now with the ongoing scandalous paper leakage/selling of the prestigious Group-I, AEE, AE and 15 other examinations notified by the TSPSC in the last several years.

“It’s a matter of shame on the part of the TSPSC which is constituted under Article 315 of the Constitution to indulge in such illegal and criminal activities with active collusion of the ruling party,” he said.

The entire affairs of TSPSC exams ended up as a scandal of gigantic proportions, where most of the question papers with master answer keys were leaked to the insiders and their relatives working in the commission for several years. This spine-chilling episode has compromised the integrity of the selection process and caused immense harm to the aspirations of millions of job seekers, reads the letter.

Stating that the TSPSC, which is the prime accused in this scandal, is going ahead with recruitment schedules at the behest of the government, he demanded that TSPSC Chairman and members be replaced with most competent and reputed persons.

“An independent inquiry by the CBI is not only crucial but also urgent, because there is very chance that critical evidence that can nail prime accused may either be destroyed or the lives of suspects who have been arrested so far will be endangered as they hold the crucial secrets of the unholy nexus among the ruling party, the CMO and the commission,” Praveen Kumar claimed.

He demanded that all recent TSPSC examinations be reconducted, all upcoming ones be postponed until the Commission is completely overhauled, the recruitment process is thoroughly insulated from extraneous influences and all guilty are made to feel the full weight of law.

He also demanded that the entire functioning of the TSPSC may thoroughly be probed into by a sitting Supreme Court judge to avoid such serious embarrassment in future.

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the question paper leak at Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) on Monday examined TSPS Chairman Janardhan Reddy.

SIT officials questioned him for about three hours and recorded his statement. They reportedly gathered information from him as to how the accused managed to access the login ID and password of the confidential section to steal question papers and leak them.

The Chairman was also reportedly asked about the functions and responsibilities of various employees in the commission. The SIT officials gathered information about the process of preparing the question papers, steps taken for their security, the procedure of conducting the exams and related matters.

    MS Education Academy

The SIT had on Saturday questioned TSPSC Secretary Anita Ramchandran and member B. Linga Reddy. Main accused Praveen Kumar and co-accused Ramesh were personal assistants to Anita Ramchandran and Linga Reddy, respectively.

Meanwhile, a Nampally court has sent three of the accused in the case to the custody of SIT. The court heard a petition by the SIT for custody of Prashanth, Rajender and Tirupataiah and sent them to police custody for three days. The SIT officials will question the three accused from Tuesday.
