Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif to share screen for first time

Mumbai: After the success of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan, Yash Raj Films is busy constructing its own spy verse. The production house is hitting headlines for its new projects and it has brought Salman and Shah Rukh together in cameo roles in each other’s movies. The production house now wants to create a spy universe with characters from films like Pathaan, WAR and Tiger. A report recently claimed that YRF is planning a movie in which Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif will be playing lead roles.
Yes, you read it right. The Twitter handle of Lets Cinema claimed that YRF is developing a high-budget female-centric spy film in which Deepika and Katrina will play lead roles. Deepika was seen in Pathaan and Katrina will be seen in Tiger 3 and both films are of YRF.
Quoting YRF’s official, an exclusive report in LetsCinema read, “We have movies in the West where Hollywood actresses lead a spy universe but it will be a first in India. Of course, we have had smaller films but this would be the first time that a big studio would mount something on a huge scale.”

YRF is already planning to bring Salman and SRK together in lead roles in a film titled ‘Tiger Vs Pathaan and it is expected to hit screens in 2024 or 2025. The production house’s war2 which stars Hrithik Roshan aka Kabir back again as Fighter in the Siddharth Anand film will release in first quarter of 2024. Before War2, Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3 will hit the screens.
As the production house is planning to make its own spy universe, netizens reacted to the news poster shared by LetsCinema on Twitter. Some of the users are of the opinion that Ranbir Kapoor should play the role of the villain in the movie while others commented that Alia should play a cameo and the movie should be named ‘Women of Ranbir’.
Actually, Ranbir Kapoor was in love with Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif before marrying his soulmate Alia Bhatt. Netizens are relating Ranbir Kapoor’s personal life with the next movie of the YRF universe.

Deepika Padukone back in India after presenting at Oscars; nails airport look

Mumbai: Actress Deepika Padukone, who made everyone proud with her appearance at Oscars 2023 in Los Angeles, has returned home.
On Friday night, she was spotted at the Mumbai airport.
She was all smiles as shutterbugs clicked her.
She looked classy in a black turtle neck sweatshirt paired with black pants and black boots. She accentuated her airport look with big frames and a black bag.
The all-black airport look of Deepika won netizens’ hearts.
Reacting to her papped images, a social media user commented, “How adorable.”
“When it comes to nailing airport look, Deepika knows the best,” another one wrote.
Deepika, for the first time, graced the role of a presenter on the Oscar stage. She introduced the ‘Naatu Naatu’ singers on the stage before their performance and briefed the audience about the song amidst loud cheers.

She said, “An irresistibly catchy chorus, electrifying beats and killer dance moves to match have made this song a global sensation.
It plays during a pivotal scene in ‘RRR’, a movie about the friendship between real-life Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. In addition to being sung in Telugu and illustrating the film’s anti-colonialist themes, it’s also a total banger!”
She added, “It has earned millions of views on Youtube and Tik Tok. It made audiences dance in movie theatres all around the world and is also the first song ever from Indian production to be nominated for an Oscar. Do you know Naatu? Because if you don’t you’re about to. From the film ‘RRR’ this is Naatu Naatu.”
For her red carpet look, she wore a black off-shoulder gown from designer label Louis Vuitton.

Meanwhile, on the film front, Deepika will be seen in an action-packed avatar in ‘Fighter’, which also stars Hrithik Roshan. The film will hit the theatres in January 2024.

Know why Deepika Padukone rejected ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’

Mumbai: Renowned Bollywood director Luv Ranjan’s film ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ which is doing well at the box office currently has hit the big screens on March 8. The film is receiving mixed positive reviews from audiences and critics and a few celebrities including Hrithik Roshan were impressed by the performance of Ranbir and Shraddha in the film.
As the duo are pairing on screen for the first time, let us tell you that Shraddha Kapoor was not the first choice for the film. It is reported that the director had earlier signed RK and Ajay Devgn for lead roles in the film which was untitled at that time. However, Ajay was dropped for unknown reasons, and the filmmaker reportedly turned the script around and began writing a rom-com after new casting. Deepika Padukone who was finalised to lead opposite RK in the film also left the project after Ajay Devgan.
The reason behind Deepika Padukone’s rejection to act in the film is said to be her fans. It was rumoured in July 2019 that Deepika will join Ranbir Kapoor in Luv Ranjan’s next film after she was spotted outside director Luv Ranjan’s residence. Before makers would have made any official announcement, her fans began to trend her name on Twitter. The fans requested her to opt out of the film as Luv Ranjan was accused during the #MeToo movement.
After trending on Twitter and considering fans’ requests, Deepika Padukone reportedly distanced herself from the Luv Ranjan project, and finally, Shraddha Kapoor was brought on board.

Deepika Padukone jets off to US for Oscar 2023

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who will be among the celebrity presenters at the Oscars this year, has jetted off to the US for the prestigious event.
Deepika was photographed at the airport leaving for the Oscars 2023 awards. Her husband and actor Ranveer Singh was seen dropping her at the airport.
A video shared by celebrity paparazzi Viral Bhayani showed Deepika getting off from her car dressed in a black blazer paired with denims. Ranveer was seen inside the car as he dropped her off at the airport.
The actress will join global stars like Emily Blunt, Samuel Jackson and Dwayne Johnson in Los Angeles on March 12 for the Oscars ceremony.

Mumbai: It’s a proud moment for India as Deepika Padukone has been announced as a presenter at the Oscars 2023.
On Thursday night, Deepika took to Instagram and shared a post with the names of all the presenters.
The list also includes Dwayne Johnson, Michael B. Jordan, Riz Ahmed, Emily Blunt, Glenn Close, Troy Kotsur, Dwayne Johnson, Jennifer Connelly, Samuel L. Jackson, Melissa McCarthy, Zoe Saldana, Donnie Yen, Jonathan Majors and Questlove.

Big B, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas’ ‘Project K’ to release on this date

Mumbai: The makers of ‘Project K’ chose the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri to announce the film’s release date.
‘Project K’, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas, will hit the theatres on January 12,2024.
Sharing the update, Deepika took to Instagram and dropped the film’s poster.
“12.1.2024 #ProjectK..Happy Mahashivratri,” she captioned the post.
In the poster, we can see a big hand-like structure with one finger pointing ahead. We can also see three men with their guns aiming at that hand amidst a war background.
Prabhas and Big B also shared the posters on their social media feeds. “12-1-24 it is! #ProjectK Happy Mahashivratri,” Big B wrote.
Helmed by Nag Ashwin, Project K is a bilingual film shot simultaneously in two languages i.e Hindi and Telugu across various locations. The film will also mark Deepika’s debut in the Telugu film market.
In January, the makers also revealed the first look of Deepika Padukone from the film, on her birthday. In the poster, we can see a silhouette of a woman. The face of the woman is not visible but she looks like the Gehraiyaan star. With short hair and dress like a warrior, the poster looks quite intriguing.
Disha Patani is also a part of Project K.

SRINAGAR: Top Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan, arrived in Kashmir, on Monday morning to shoot for their upcoming action film Fighter.

They were seen at Mumbai’s International Airport on Monday morning, February 6 to jet off to Kashmir for the shoot of their forthcoming project. Fighter signs Hrithik and Deepika’s first ever big-screen co-act.
Directed by Siddharth Anand Fighter also involves other actors including Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi for decisive roles.
According to sources, along with the director Siddharth Anand and artists Deepika and Hrithik, cinematographer Satchit Paulose and action director Sunil Rodrigues have also reached Kashmir.
The movie is planned to hit the theatres on January 25, 2024.
Both the actors have said to complete their first schedule of the film in 2022. As per reports, they are all set to shoot for the second schedule at Dal Lake and Pahalgam in Kashmir. They will be capturing some action arrays and scenes of a song at various sites of Srinagar and the whole valley.
Regardless of the cinematography, the government has deputed seven government teachers as duty magistrates to maintain the law and order during the shoot of the movie Fighter at Pahalgam with effect from February 7 to February 11.

The responsibility of the duty magistrates is to keep a close check on the situation at the respective locations with the coordination of the police and to convey an hourly report to Tehsildar Pahalgam.
The movie Fighter is anticipated to be India’s foremost aerial action franchise which will enact and display the bravery, slaughter, and patriotic sentiments of the Indian Army.
The cast and crew are expected to wrap up the shooting of the film in Kashmir by next week and then head to Hyderabad for the next schedule.

Mumbai: Actors Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, on Monday morning, jetted off to Kashmir to start the next schedule of their aerial action thriller film ‘Fighter’.
