MP govt orders to remove Muslim staff from Maa Sharda temple in Maihar

Bhopal: An order issued by the Department of Culture of Madhya Pradesh government regarding the removal of Muslim employees associated with the Maa Sharda Temple in Maihar in Satna district has become the talking point in the state.
The department has issued a letter to Satna district administration to comply with the directive issued earlier regarding removal of Muslim employees from the Maa Sharda Devi Prabandh Samiti. The directive was issued on April 5, but it came to the fore after it surfaced on social media on Tuesday.
The development came when the Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh are just six months away. IANS has learnt that there are at least two Muslims who are associated with the Maa Sharda Devi Prabandh Samiti since 1988.

The Department of Culture in its order has also mentioned that a notification regarding the same had been issued earlier also, but no response was received. Therefore, complying with the directive (letter) issued by the department regarding the same, a report should be submitted within three days.
The department is headed by senior BJP leader Usha Thakur, who is also the Tourism Minister in Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s Cabinet.
The department has also said that all meat and liquor shops located near the temple area will be removed.
The step has been taken following the recommendation of right wing groups, including the Vishva Hindu Parishad. The right wing outfits of Satna district had handed over a letter to Usha Thakur in January this year, following which the Satna district administration was directed to remove Muslim staff associated with the Maa Sharda Devi Prabandh Samiti. The fresh letter has been issued to comply with directive issued by the minister in January.
“We have received a letter regarding the matter and now it would be brought before the Prabandhan Samiti of the temple for discussion. Whatever the committee decides will be the final decision,” a member of the Maa Sharda Devi Prabandh Samiti told IANS on condition of anonymity.

Situated atop Trikut hill, the temple is a reverred Hindu srine in the Vindhya region, which has numerous mythological stories attatched to it, including about ‘Alha’ and ‘Udal’. The devotees climb 1,063 stairs to reach the temple, while a ropeway facility has also been established now for the convenience of the pilgrims.

Karnataka court orders filing of criminal case against Janardhana Reddy

Bengaluru: Mining baron-turned-politician Janardhana Reddy, who is all set to contest Karnataka Assembly elections by launching a new party, on Monday suffered a setback as a special court has ordered filing of criminal case against him.
The Special Court for People’s Representatives here has given this order in connection with the illegal selling of iron ore. Investigation Officer Manjunath Annigeri had submitted a private complaint in this regard.
The court after looking into the complaint ordered filing of the criminal case against 16 persons including Janardhana Reddy and Congress MLA B. Nagendra.

The court has given direction to lodge a case under the Mines and Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957, citing Sections 21, 23, 4(1), 41(A) of the act and adjourned the matter to June 24.
The complaint is regarding the sale of iron ore which caused loss of Rs 211 crores for the state exchequer between 2008 and 2011. The accused came together to avoid payment of royalty, and cess to the state government.
Presently, Janardhana Reddy has launched a new party in Karnataka to fight the May 10 Assembly elections, and claimed that without his support, the national parties can not form the government.

Rajasthan HC orders stay on arrest of Ramdev accused of hurting religious sentiments

The Rajasthan High Court has stayed the arrest of Ramdev over an FIR registered against him for allegedly hurting religious sentiments and directed the yoga guru to appear before the investigating officer for questioning by May 20.
Justice Manoj Kumar Garg gave the direction while hearing a petition by Ramdev seeking quashing of the FIR.
The FIR was filed at the Chohtan police station in Barmer on February 5 on the complaint of Pathai Khan against the yoga guru’s alleged derogatory remarks against Islam and Christianity at a religious event in Barmer on February 2.

In provocative remarks at a meeting of seers, Yoga guru Ramdev had accused Muslims of resorting to terror and abducting Hindu women while comparing Hinduism to Islam and Christianity. He alleged that the two faiths were obsessed with conversion while Hinduism taught its followers to do good.
In his complaint, Khan claimed that Ramdev had made his remarks “deliberately… so that there is animosity against Islam”.
At the gathering of seers in Barmer, Ramdev had allegedly said, “Muslims offer namaz five times a day and then do whatever they want. They kidnap Hindu girls and commit all kinds of sins. Our Muslim brothers commit a lot of sins but they definitely offer namaz as they are taught to do so. Hindu religion is not like this.” A video of his speech had surfaced on social media.
“I am not criticising anyone but people are obsessed only with this. Some people talk about converting the entire world to Islam and others want to convert the world to Christianity,” Ramdev said. He allegedly claimed that these faiths had no other agenda.

Netanyahu orders son to stop posting on social media amid controversy

Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has demanded that his son, Yair Netanyahu, to stop posting on social media, amid accusations that it is fueling tensions in Israel and exacerbating the dispute with the United States (US), local media reported.
A report by the Walla website stated that Yair Netanyahu, who usually tweets dozens of times a day, most of which are fierce attacks against his father’s enemies, has been absent from social media.
Netanyahu last tweet was on March 28, a day after the prime minister announced a freeze on the Judicial Reform Law and two days after the US State Department condemned his tweets.

The report said, quoting three right-wing sources close to the family, that Netanyahu and his wife Sarah told Yair that he was causing damage and asked him to “calm down” and keep a low profile, revealing that the demand sparked an intense conflict within the family.
As per Jerusalem Post, Prime Minister Netanyahu vehemently denies his son’s involvement and influence in decision-making, and in the press conference he called this week he said, “It’s ironic, my son is an independent person with his own opinions. My son Yair has no influence over my decisions.”
At the beginning of the week, Yair Netanyahu was seen at Ben Gurion Airport, heading to the United States. According to information obtained by Walla News, he is expected to stay there for several months.
Yair Netanyahu is one of the most powerful and influential activists on social media affiliated with his father and the Likud party, but his extremist stances and statements fuel protests against the government and cause Netanyahu to be embarrassed and harmed.

According to a government order, On the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee constituted vide Government Order No. 115-GAD of 2019 dated 23.01.2019 and meeting held on 12.01.2023, sanction is herely accorded to the regularization of Headmasters and equivalent (In-charge ZEOs and equivalent) as ZEOs & equivalent in School Education Department as mentioned in Annexure-A’ to this Government Order in the pay scale of (Rs.52700 – 166700) Level-9 with effect from the dates indicated against each.
The regularization is without prejudice to the outcome of any writ petition pending in any competent court(s) of law or any case pending in Vigilance or Crime Branch. The regularization is further subject to the following conditions:
The Drawing & Disbursing Officers shall take an undertaking from the concerned Officer in shape of an affidavit duly attested by the 1st Class Magistrate to the effect that if his/her service particulars/ Academic credentials are found fake/forged, he/she shall have no claim for the regularization and the regularization order issued in his/her favour shall be cancelled ab-initio without further notice.
The Drawing & Disbursing Officers concerned shall obtain LPC and other related details before fixing the pay of these Officers in the relevant pay scales.
For time-barred arrear claims, the Drawing and Disbursing Officers
concerned shall follow the instructions of the Finance Department issued vide No. A/23(08)-I-B-184 Dated 18.02.2021 and other relevant orders. The Drawing & Disbursing Officers shall be responsible for implementation/ fulfillment of above conditions in letter and spirit.

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday ordered transfer and posting of two police officers with immediate effect and also re-designated post of additional superintendent of police Baramulla as superintendent of police headquarters Baramulla.
According to an order, Diya D, IPS, awaiting orders of adjustment, is posted as Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Baramulla.
“The post of Addl. Superintendent of Police, Baramulla, is re-designated as Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Baramulla, till held by the said officer,” reads the order.
It added Rakesh Kumar Parihar, Addl. Superintendent of Police, Baramulla, is transferred and posted as Dy. Commandant IR-16th Battalion, against an available vacancy. (KNO)
