Union Budget 2023: On February 1 today, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will deliver the last comprehensive Union Budget of the Modi administration before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The strategy is expected to boost funding for logistics, defense, and infrastructure, benefiting allied businesses. The first half of the Parliamentary Budget Session, which began on Tuesday, will end on February 13. The Parliament will reconvene on March 12 for the second half of the budget session, which will end on April 6.

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Promotes 366 Police Personnel
Jammu, January 31, 2019: SJM Gillani, Additional Director General of Police, Armed, J&K, has ordered the promotion of 366 police officers.
According to a statement, the promotion orders of one ASI and 365 Head Constables to the posts of SI and ASI were issued after the DPC, headed by ADGP Armed, assessed the cases of eligible ASIs and HCs and found them fit for promotion to their next ranks in light of the relevant promotion norms.
The ADGP congratulated the newly promoted SIs and ASIs and hoped that they would demonstrate discipline, hard work, and dedication towards their assignments and always come up to the expectations of the people.
Meanwhile, the police officer said that the promotion process for SgCTs and constables of the J&K Armed Police is also underway at the Armed Police Headquarters.

Jammu & Kashmir: Station House Officer (SHO) Among Three Cops Suspended
Three policemen, including a station house officer, were sent to the police lines for alleged “service misconduct” in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Tuesday, officials said.
An order to this effect was issued by Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohita Sharma.
It is ordered that Inspector Sandeep Charak; Station House Officer, Ramban, Mudasir Ahmed; and Constable Mubeshar Ahmed be placed under suspension for alleged “service misconduct”, the SP said.
A departmental inquiry has been ordered against them. The sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) of Gool will conduct the inquiry and submit a report within a week’s time, Sharma said.(Agencies)

Prime Minister Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi is known as PM SVANidh. A central sector programme was launched In June 2020. It aims to provide micro-credit facilities to street vendors who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This programme will continue until December 2024. In addition to the first and second loans, which have values of Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000, respectively. The government has also introduced a third credit of upto Rs 50,000.

JKSSB: Important Update For Students Regarding Issuance of Admit Cards
Subject: Issuance of Admit Cards to the candidates for Computer Based Type Test (Skill Test) scheduled to be held from 09th February to 11th February, 2023, for the posts of Junior Assistant and Junior Assistant-cum-Computer Operator, advertised vide Advertisement Notification No, 01 of 2022, dated: 27-01-2022.
1. The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) is conducting the Computer Based Type Test (Skill Test) for the posts of Junior Assistant and Junior Assistant-cum-Computer Operator whose detail is given in Annexure “A”.
2. Admit Card for the candidates, whose examination(s) is/are scheduled on 09th February, 10th February and 11th February, 2023 shall be hosted on JKSSB’s official website (www.jkssb.nic.in) from 01st February, 2023 (04:00 PM). The Admit Card is issued to inform the candidates about the Name & Address of Exam Centre, Exam City, Exam Date and Exam Time for the candidate.
3. Candidates can download their Admit Cards from the JKSSB’s official website (www.jkssb.nic.in) using their Application ID and Date of Birth. They must read the instructions contained therein, carefully.
4. In case of any difficulty in downloading / issues related to Admit Card, candidate(s) may contact the JKSSB Help-Desk at 0191-2461335 (Jammu) / 0194-2435089 (Srinagar) or write to JKSSB at helpdesk.jkssb@gmail.com. Help-Desk will activate on 01st February 2023 till 11th February, 2023, during office hours.

Court orders 2 doctors to pay Saudi woman SR52,500 in compensation for medical error
The General Court in Riyadh has ordered two doctors, a male and a female, to pay SR52,500 in compensation to a Saudi woman, local media reported. The medical report and expert opinions showed that the doctors made a 100 per cent error in the woman’s treatment plan, causing harm to her teeth and gums.
The ruling came after the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Health recently announced the completion of the transfer of the jurisdiction of the legitimate health bodies from the Ministry of Health to the general judiciary.
The Supreme Judiciary Council established a number of specialized departments to handle such disputes in the Court of Appeal and the General Court in Riyadh, where judges and their assistants were trained and qualified, in order to ensure quality and accuracy in the judicial verdicts issued over these disputes.

Drug Peddler alongwith 115 grams of Charas contraband like substance arrested at Laghama-Garkote Crossing Uri; Case registered
During patrolling at Laghama-Garkote Crossing Uri, Police under the supervision of Inspr. Imtiyaz Ahmad, SHO PS Uri witnessed a suspicious person who upon noticing the police party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search 115 grams of Charas contraband like substance was recovered and was immediately seized in presence of magistrate. The drug peddler who was identified as Asif Ahmad Junjwa S/O Mohd Nazir Junjwa R/O Machikrand Bandi Uri, District Baramulla was taken into custody. Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Uri and investigation set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.
