According to a government order, that Sanction is hereby accorded to the placement of the following Inspectors, as Deputy Superintendent of Police, on stop gap basis, in their own pay and grade

It is further ordered that:
These arrangements shall not confer any right on the incumbents to claim preferential treatment for their promotion, as and when the same is made in accordance with the provisions of Jammu and Kashmir Police (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 2022, read with Government Order No. 653-Home(P) of 2017 dated 07.06.2017 and Government Order No. 1031-Home of 2017 dated 09.08.2017; and
The above placements shall be without prejudice to the outcome of writ petitions(s)lapplication(s), if any, pending, before any competent forum(s)/court(s) of competent jurisdiction or any existing or future orders of the Hon’ble Courts. By Order of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.

The HOD of the commission will have the right to delegate the powers of DDO to any officer. At the same time, after getting the power of DDO, the officer can release the salary of the employees.
Investigation continues even in question paper leak case

Along with this, Vigilance is also probing the recruitment exam question paper leak case. Vigilance has summoned all those candidates of the state to the Vigilance police station, whose ex-secretary had spoken. These are the candidates who had called the former secretary in case their admit cards have not been issued and to get information related to the exam center. Vigilance is trying to find out whether this candidate was involved in the paper leak or not. At present, no such case has come to the fore. Vigilance has registered a case against 8 people in the paper leak case of Computer Operator, Junior Auditor Recruitment Examination. Out of which four have got bail.
25 to 30 thousand rupees will come in the account
With the release of the same salary, an amount of 25 to 30 thousand rupees will be seen in the account of the employees. Explain that for the last 1 month the salary was paid to the employees due to these reasons. In this regard, the employees were conveying their views to the higher officials of the Commission.

Bank Holiday March 2023: Big news for bank customers

Banks will be closed for 12 days including second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays in March 2023 as per the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). There is Holi festival on March 7 and 8, due to which banks will remain closed.

Apart from this, Sundays are falling on 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th of March and second and fourth Saturdays on 11th March and 25th March.

Bank Holidays In March 2023: There is important news for all bank customers. If there is any work related to the bank, then settle it immediately, because the banks are going to remain closed for 12 days in March, due to which many banking related work may be affected, although online services will continue.

12 Holidays including Saturday-Sunday

Actually, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for March 2023. Banks will be closed for 12 days including second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays in March 2023 as per the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

There is Holi festival on March 7 and 8, due to which banks will remain closed. Apart from this, Sundays are falling on 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th of March and second and fourth Saturdays on 11th March and 25th March.

In many states, banks will remain closed on March 22 on the occasion of different festivals and on March 30 on the occasion of Ram Navami at some places. Banks will remain closed on all public holidays along with some regional holidays. Regional holidays are decided by the respective state governments.

The news of relief is that online transaction services Google Pay, Phone Pay, Paytm, Internet Banking (Online Transfer) services will continue, but the work of checkbook-passbook may be affected.
You can also do your work through Net Banking, ATM, Digital Payment.
If you want to settle any important work, then you can settle it through net banking and mobile banking.
You can use UPI to transfer money from one account to another, you can also use credit, debit cards easily.

Govt Considers Withdrawal Of Army From Kashmir – Kashmir News

Three and a half years after the Union government revoked the special status granted to Jammu and Kashmir amid deployment of large additional troops, it is discussing a proposal to withdraw the Indian Army completely from the Valley hinterland. If approved, the Army will have presence only on the Line of Control (LoC), reported The Indian Express
Officials in the security establishment said the proposal to withdraw the Army from Kashmir hinterland has been under discussion for about two years and is at an “advanced stage” now with the involvement of the Union Ministry of Defence, Union Ministry of Home Affairs, armed forces and the J&K police. It is proposed that the CRPF would fill in for the army personnel removed from the Valley to meet the challenges of both law and order and counter-terror operations.
“The matter is under serious discussion at inter-ministerial level and it is understood to be feasible. In a way, the decision has been taken and it is a matter of when it will be done. Ultimately, however, it will be a political call,” a senior security establishment officer told The Indian Express.
Texts and calls to the CRPF, J&K Police and the Army did not elicit a response till the time of going to press.
According to officials, the Army maintains a strength of around 1.3 lakh personnel in the entire J-K of which around 80,000 are deployed on the border. About 40,000-45,000 personnel from the Rashtriya Rifles have the mantle of conducting counter-insurgency operations in Kashmir’s hinterland.
The CRPF is said to have a strength of close to 60,000 personnel in J-K, of which more than 45,000 are deployed in Kashmir Valley. J-K Police is 83,000 strong. Apart from this, a few companies from other Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) remain deployed in the Valley. The figures for CAPFs fluctuate depending on the security situation in the Valley.

Petrol-Diesel Prices Today, February 20: Petrol and diesel prices remain same across metro cities. Oil marketing companies at 6 AM revise fuel prices. The last change in country-wide fluctuation in fuel prices was witnessed in May 2022 when the Centre cut the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 per litre and Rs 6 per litre on diesel. Retail petrol and diesel prices vary from state to state and various factors like freight charges, local taxes, and Value-Added Tax (VAT).

The retail price for petrol and diesel In Delhi, is priced at Rs 96.72, while diesel in the National Capital is retailing at Rs 89.62 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol is retailing at Rs 106.03 per litre, and diesel is selling at Rs 94.27 per litre. The prices of petrol and diesel change state by state, depending upon various criteria such as Value Added Tax (VAT), freight charges, local taxes, etc. The last country-wide change in fuel rates was on 21 May last year, when Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman slashed excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 per litre and Rs 6 per litre on diesel.

The change in the price of crude oil in the international market directly influences the price of crude oil in the domestic market; this is one of the most important factors responsible for an increase in petrol prices in Indian domestic market. Increase in international demand, low production rate and any political unrest in the crude oil producing countries of the world severely affects petrol price.

The prices of petrol and other petroleum products varies according to the local government policies which impose taxes on fuels. As and when the government of India raises tax rates on fuels the oil companies in India also increases the price of the petrol to recover losses and maintain marginal profits in the oil business in India.

The rupee-dollar exchange rate is also one of the major factors which influence the price of petrol in India. Indian oil companies pay to the oil imported from other countries in terms of dollars, but their expenses are regarding rupee. So, when the price of the crude oil is in the fall but the rupee is also weak against the dollar then it will reduce the gains to the oil refiners. On the other hand, when the rupee strengthens against the dollar and the price of the crude oil is in the fall, then the oil companies tend to gain.

DM Shopian issued order under NDPS Act
SHOPIAN, FEBRUARY 18 (KN): Acting tough against drug traffickers, District Magistrate Shopian today ordered seizure / freezing of illegally acquired properties of five drug traffickers in District Shopian .The action has been taken under the provisions of Chapter VA of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotic Substances Act, 1985. As per the orders issued today, the said properties shall not be transferred for any other use undertaken on it without the permission of the District Magistrate.

The Competent Authority under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Shopian, accorded a seal of approval to freezing of ill-gotten properties worth crores of five drug peddlers who were given reasonable time period to prove credentials and produce the requisite documents that substantiate the property as legal.

It included illegally acquired buildings and land from the proceeds of narcotics trade.
