    NEET aspirant dies after being hit by truck in UP’s Saharanpur

    Saharanpur: An 18-year-old NEET aspirant on his way to an exam centre was killed after his motorcycle was hit by a truck in Sarsawa area on Sunday, police said.

    The National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET) was conducted on Sunday.

    Ruchit Kamboj, a resident of Mohalla Durga Colony, was travelling to Deoband with his friend when the accident occurred, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain told PTI.

    Kamboj sustained serious head injuries while his friend escaped with minor injuries, he said.

    A police team took Kamboj to a hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

    The driver of the truck abandoned the vehicle and fled, police said, adding that the body has been sent for postmortem.

    NEET UG 2023 Postponed: Here comes a big update for the NEET Aspirants! The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday afternoon postponed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) examination for the candidates who were allotted examination Centres in Manipur.

    According to the ANI, the NTA has released an official notice on Saturday to inform the candidates about the development. In the notice the NTA stated,”it is to inform you that the NEET (UG)- 2023 Exam has been postponed for the candidates who were allotted examination Centres in the State of Manipur and their exam will be held at a later date.”

    MoS Education Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh had written to National Testing Agency and requested to “explore the possibility of rescheduling” the exam, in the wake of the situation in Manipur.

    The notice comes amid communal clashes in the state of Manipur. The violence first erupted in Torbung area in Churachandpur district during the ‘Tribal Solidarity March’ organised by the All Tribal Student Union Manipur (ATSUM) on Wednesday to protest the demand of Meiteis for Scheduled Tribe (ST) status.

    NEET UG 2023 Exam Date

    This year, the medical exam will be conducted on May 7 from 2 PM to 5.20 PM at different centres located in 499 cities throughout the country including 14 cities outside India wherein around 1872341 candidates are going to appear, as per reports. The admit cards for the same have already been uploaded on the official website. Candidates have been advised to download NEET UG 2023 exam date and save it for future reference.

    NEET UG 2023 Exam Pattern

    The medical entrance exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode which will be of 200 minutes (3 hours 20 minutes) long exam. There will be a total 45 questions per subject and maximum marks will be 720.

    Hyderabad: The preparations for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) undergraduate entrance examination have been completed in the state of Telangana. This year, approximately 70,000 candidates from Telangana have applied for the 2023 NEET UG exam. To facilitate this, a total of 24 centers have been set up across the state, including Hyderabad, Warangal, Khammam, and Nizamabad.

    Telangana has a total of 6,615 MBBS seats in 17 government and 24 private medical colleges. Of these, 2,815 are available in government colleges, while the remaining 3,800 are in private medical colleges. It is expected that more MBBS seats will be added before the admission process begins.

    The NEET exam is scheduled to take place on May 7 from 2 pm to 5 pm. Last year, Telangana received 61,207 applications for the NEET UG exam, but only 59,296 candidates appeared for the examination, out of which 35,148 qualified.

    NEET UG is conducted in 13 languages, including Telugu, through which admission is granted to 10 courses, including MBBS. The hall tickets for the 2023 NEET UG exam have already been released, and the National Testing Agency (NTA) has also released the admit card for this examination. The examination will be conducted under the pen and paper system at 499 locations across the country.

    To download the hall ticket, students can visit the official website and enter their application number, date of birth, and security pin. The NTA has instructed all candidates to carry a printout of their admit card, along with any necessary documents and photographs, to the examination center.

    With these preparations complete, candidates from Telangana are all set to appear for the NEET UG exam on May 7, in hopes of securing a coveted MBBS seat in one of the many prestigious medical colleges across the state.

    NEET Admit Card 2023 : National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday announced that admit cards of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate or NEET UG 2023 have been released.

    A direct link to download NEET admit cards is available on neet.nta.nic.in. The entrance test is scheduled for May 7, 2023.

    Candidates can download their hall tickets using their application number and date of birth. NTA has already issued exam city information slips for NEET UG.

    On the NEET exam day, a printout of the admit card along with other asked documents and photographs will be required. On admit cards, NTA will give instructions to candidates for the exam day, including the dress code they need to follow and items allowed inside the exam hall.

    Kota: A 19-year-old NEET aspirant from Madhya Pradesh allegedly died by suicide in her hostel room in the Talwandi area of this Rajasthan district, police said on Wednesday.

    The deceased was identified as Rashi Jain, a resident of Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh. She was preparing for the national eligibility cum entrance test in Kota for over a year and was due to take the exam on May 7.

    Rashi was last spotted outside her hostel room on Monday evening. When she did not come out of the room till late Tuesday morning, the hostel warden informed the police, which reached the spot and broke open her room. The girl was found hanging from the ceiling fan, said Assistant Circle Inspector at Jawahar Nagar Police Station Vasudev.

    Packets of several medicines were found on Rashi’s table, he said, adding that no suicide note was recovered from her room.

    Prima facie it seems the girl was upset over not being able to devote herself fully to studies due to an illness, which was not major, Circle Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Amar Singh said.

    Police handed over the body to the deceased’s family members on Wednesday after postmortem and lodged a case of unnatural death under Section 174 of Cr.P.C. for investigation, he added.

    New Delhi: The NEET PG 2023 result was released by the National Board of Exams in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on Tuesday – just nine days after the exam.

    The NEET PG exam was held on March 5 for admission to MD/MS/DNB/Diploma courses of the 2023-24 admission session. Around 2.9 lakh students registered to appear for the NEET PG examination this year.

    Appreciating the efforts of the NBEMS, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said it has done a great job in declaring the results in record time.

    “The result of NEET-PG 2023 has been announced today! Congrats to all students declared qualified in results. NBEMS has again done a great job by successfully conducting NEET-PG exams & declaring results in a record time. I appreciate their efforts”, tweeted Mandaviya after the result was announced.

    The NEET PG cut-off 2023 score for the general category and EWS is 291 out of 800, while the same for the general category-PwBD is 274 and 257 for the SC/ST/OBC. “Each and every question in NEET-PG 2023 was reviewed by the subject matter experts from the concerned specialty after the conduct of NEET-PG 2023 to re-check for technical correctness of the questions as well as answer keys,” said the official notification.

    “As per the inputs from the subject matter experts, no question was found to be technically incorrect or ambiguous,” the notification added.
