Salman Khan drops happy picture with “Chotu Motu” gang

Dubai: Superstar Salman Khan is currently in Dubai and he received a cute welcome from a bunch of kids there.
Taking to Instagram, Salman dropped an adorable picture which shows him sharing smiles with children.
“Chotu Motu,” he captioned the post, adding his song ‘Lets Dance Chotu Motu’ from the film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ to the story.

‘Let’s Dance Chotu Motu’ shows Salman and his co-stars grooving to nursery rhymes with rapper Honey Singh. Salman goes through nursery rhymes like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Jack and Jill and Humpty Dumpty in the track, making it a perfect song for kids.
Salman’s ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ arrived in theatres on Eid. However, the film not recieve great reviews from the critics and audience.
Helmed by Farhad Samji, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Venkatesh Daggubati in pivotal roles.
In the coming months, Salman will be seen reprising his character in ‘Tiger 3’, which is directed by Maneesh Sharma. The film will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu this Diwali. The upcoming actioner also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashm

Telangana HC takes up suo motu PIL on stray dogs mauling boy to death

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Wednesday initiated a suo motu public interest litigation over the gruesome incident of a pack of stray dogs attacking and killing a 4-year-old boy at Amberpet in the city on February 19.
The High Court took cognisance of a newspaper report on the incident and took it up as the suo motu public interest litigation (PIL).
A bench comprising Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan will hear the PIL on Thursday.
The court has made Chief Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department Principal Secretary, GHMC Commissioner, GHMC Deputy Commissioner (Amberpet), GHMC Veterinary Officer, Hyderabad District Collector and Member Secretary of Telangana State Legal Services Authority as respondents in the PIL.
The child was apparently carrying a packet containing some food item when the dogs pounced on him and killed him. The incident was caught on CCTV camera and the footage went viral on Tuesday provoking public outcry.
In the video clip, the canines were seen suddenly attacking the boy while tailing him, following which he fell down. He was walking alone. The unrelenting pack of strays kept mauling him even as there was nobody in sight who could come to his rescue.
The boy’s father, who works as a security guard at a car service centre, had taken him and his 6-year-old daughter to his workplace located in the area.
The victim suffered serious injuries in the attack and was rushed to the hospital by his father and others where he was declared brought dead, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials had said.

‘Very disturbing trend’: SC registers suo motu case on unlicensed firearms

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday observed that unlike the US where the right to bear arms is a fundamental right, no such right has been conferred on anybody under the Indian Constitution, while registering a suo motu case to curb the large number of unlicensed firearms in the country.
A bench of Justices K.M. Joseph and B.V. Nagarathna, hearing a bail application of murder accused Rajendra Singh, represented by advocate Rohit Kumar Singh, noted that an unlicensed firearm was used and offences under section 302 along with 307 of the IPC was registered. It added that it has come across several cases where unlicensed arms were used and termed the trend “very disturbing”.
The bench observed that unlike the US constitution where the right to bear arms is a fundamental right and under the wisdom of our founding fathers, no such right has been conferred on anybody under the Constitution.
It further added that it is important to stop unlicensed firearms in particular and stressed that preservation of life is significant.
Taking suo moto of unlicensed arms, Justice Joseph orally observed that he is from Kerala and there are very few cases there. The bench further added that whatever may happen in this bail matter, it is taking up the case, because if this issue is not addressed, then it would impact the rule of law.
The bench asked counsel, representing the Uttar Pradesh government, to bring on record the number of cases registered on the use and possession of unlicensed firearms, and also what steps have been taken to arrest this trend.
It stressed that the problem of unlicensed arms should be firmly dealt with by the authorities and it will take necessary steps in that direction.
The bench sought an affidavit from UP Director General of Police, within four weeks.
