Four Residential Houses Damaged In Fire Mishap

SRINAGAR: At least four residential houses were damaged in a fire incident in Alamgari Bazar in summer capital Srinagar, officials said.
Quoting officials, news agency KDC reported that fire broke out from a residential house belonging to Parvaiz Ahmad Mir, which later spread to three more residential houses belonging to Zaffar Ahmad Malla, Dilawar Hussain Malla and Ghulam Mohammad Dar.
In this mishap, four residential houses were damaged. Firefighters managed to douse the flames on time to avoid any further damage. However, there was no loss of life or injury.
The cause of fire was not known immediately, however, police have taken cognizance of the incident.

Union Minister’s Car Collides With Truck In JK Mishap

SRINAGAR: During his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister for Law and Justice, Kiren Rijiju’s car was involved in a minor accident, according to the police while adding that no injuries were reported and the minister reached his destination safely.
The purpose of Rijiju’s visit was to attend the inauguration of the first edition of the Constitution of India in the Dogri language at the University of Jammu.
He also attended a legal services camp in Udhampur, where he interacted with beneficiaries of various central government schemes, judges, and members of the National Legal Services Authority of India (NALSA).

Four Shops Damaged In Fire Mishap

SRINAGAR: At least four shops were damaged in a fire mishap in Magarmal Bagh of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday evening, officials said.
They said that a fire broke out in a commercial building located near Main Chowk, Magarmal Bagh Srinagar.
Soon after the incident, Fire and Emergency men laced with machinery reached the spot to douse off the raging flames, they said adding before the rescue operation could end at least four shops had already received damage.
There was no injury caused to any person in the incident, they said further. (GNS)

Driver Dies In Road Mishap

SRINAGAR: A tractor driver died after his tractor turned turtle in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday afternoon.
GNS reported that a tractor driver identified as Javid Ahmad Wani (33) son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani a resident of Waripora met with a fatal accident in Frashtar Kreeri.
He was immeditaely shifted to SDH Kreeri where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
Confirming it, a police official told GNS that a case has been registered for further investigations.

Two Residential Houses Damaged In Fire Mishap

SRINAGAR: Two residential houses were damaged in a nocturnal fire incident at Narbal area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
An official while confirming the incident said that during night hours fire broke out due to electric short circuit in two residential double storied houses of Ali Mohammad Kaloo, son of Mohammad Sultan Kaloo and Mushtaq Ahmad Handroo, son of Abdul Wahaab Handroo both residents of Kali Mohallah Narbal.
Soon after noticing the flames, locals and police reached to the spot and informed the Fire and Emergency Services department following which the fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames.
He said, in the incident, no loss of life was reported, but upper stories of both the houses got damaged.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident. (KDC)

Several Injured In Road Mishap

SRINAGAR: At least nine persons were injured in a road accident that took place in Thune area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday.
Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that a load carrier turned turtle near Thune area on Wednesday morning.
He said in the incident at least nine persons were injured and they were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
The official said, six among them have been referred to SKIMS for advanced treatment.

Biker Killed, Pillion rider Critically injured in Rafiabad road Mishap

Sopore, March 12: A 23-years old biker were killed and his pillion rider were critically injured after lost control on speed of two wheeler (bike) and rammed into a tree along road side in Watergam Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday evening.
Reports said that a bike was strongly rammed into a tree near petrol pump in Watergam Rafiabad. In the incident, the biker Musaib Ahmad Bhat 23, Son of Abdul Hameed Bhat of Baghi Rehmat Iqbal Nagar Sopore died instantly, besides injuries to his pillion rider namely Rashib Zahoor Saboon 21, son of Zahoor Ahmad of Baghi Rehmat Iqbal Nagar Sopore, he were immediately evacuated to SDH Sopore, where from doctor referred him SMHS Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Meanwhile, police took the cognizance of this incident and after legal formalities body of Musaib were handed over to the family for last rites.

They told GNS that one Nayeem Ahmad Lone son of Farooq Ahmad Lone, a resident of Badmulla Sheeri was critically injured after losing control over the two-wheeler near Gantmulla.
The youth was evacuated from the site to a nearby health facility, where the doctors however declared him as brought dead on arrival, they said.
