After 500 yrs, Lord Ram will adorn the throne at Ayodhya within a year: Adityanath

Agartala: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that after 500 years, Lord Ram would adorn the throne of Ram temple in Ayodhya even as the CPI-M and the Congress do not believe in the existence of Lord Ram or Krishna.

Addressing an election rally at Majlishpur in western Tripura on Wednesday, the Chief Minister added that the Ram temple would be ready within a year and Lord Ram after sitting in his throne would give all of us his blessings.

“The Congress and the CPI-M have believed only in corruption and violence. Tripura was once infamous during the regime of Congress and CPI-M,” Adityanath said, adding that after the BJP-led government came to power (in 2018) in the state, peace and good governance have prevailed.

Saying that during the regime of the Congress and CPI-M the benefit of development and welfare did not reach to the people, he claimed that now Tripura has become one of the developed states in the country.

The double-engine government provided a lot from connectivity to welfare of the people, the Chief Minister said.

“People voted for the BJP, and the BJP government gave huge developmental gifts to the people. The Tripura government aiming to empower the women introduced 33 per cent reservation for the women in government jobs. Be it Awas Yojana or farmers’ welfare scheme to health scheme, the Modi government has given everything to the common and poor people.”

Adityanath also alleged that the Congress and CPI-M are trying to derail the development mission of the double-engine governments and their only aim is to keep the people backward to reap political dividends.

The Chief Minister said that corruption was at its peak when Congress ruled the country.

“The country witnessed the Congress’ coal scam, 2G scam, defence equipment procurement scandal and the Commonwealth Games scam. Corruption became synonymous with Congress,” he added.

  • Lord Krishna, Hanuman greatest diplomats of world: EAM Jaishankar

Lord Krishna, Hanuman greatest diplomats of world: EAM Jaishankar

    [ad_1]

Pune: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said Lord Krishna and Lord Hanuman were the greatest diplomats of the world.

He was speaking on Saturday while interacting with the audience in Maharashtra’s Pune city in a question-answer session during the launch of ‘Bharat Marg’, the Marathi translation of his book ‘The India Way’.

Jaishankar said, “Lord Shri Krishna and Lord Hanuman were the greatest diplomats of the world. I am saying this very seriously.”

If one looks at them in the perspective of diplomacy, what situation they were in, what mission was given to them, how they had handled the situation, he said.

“Hanumanji, he had gone ahead of the mission, he had contacted Goddess Sita, burnt Lanka…he was a multi-purpose diplomat,” Jaishankar said.

The minister said for the world’s 10 big strategic concepts pertaining to international relations in today’s discourse, he could give an equivalent for every concept from the epic Mahabharat.

“If you say today it is a multi-polar world, at that time what was happening in Kurukshetra (the site of the battle of Mahabharat), that was multi-polar Bharat, where there were different rajya (kingdoms), they were told ‘you are with them, you are with me’…a couple of them were non-aligned…like Balram and Rukma.”

He said now people say it is a globalised world, there is interdependence, there is constraint.

“What was Arjuna’s dilemma, it was constraint, that he was emotionally interdependent…that how do I fight against my relatives. That was not material interdependence, but it was emotional interdependence,” he said.

“We sometimes say Pakistan did this or that, and we will show strategic patience. The best example of strategic patience is the way Lord Krishna handled Shishupal. He (Lord Krishna) forgave him 100 times,” he said.

  • UP’s R-Day tableau depicts Lord Ram, Ayodhya Deepotsav

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh’s tableau which rolled down the Kartavya Path during the 74th Republic Day parade depicted Lord Ram and Goddess Sita being welcomed by the people of Ayodhya on their return from exile, and the Deepotsav celebrations in the temple town.

A grand Ram temple is currently under construction in Ayodhya and massive scale road-widening and other projects are also being undertaken in the Uttar Pradesh town.

Twenty-three tableaux — 17 from states and Union territories and six from various ministries and departments — depicting India’s vibrant cultural heritage, and economic and social progress are part of the parade on the Kartavya Path, Defence Ministry officials had earlier said.

Uttar Pradesh’s tableau depicts Lord Ram and Goddess Sita being welcomed by the people of Ayodhya on their return from exile, according to a senior official of the state’s information and public relations department.

Ayodhya Deepotsav is the main theme of Uttar Pradesh in its Republic Day tableau, a senior defence official had earlier said.

“The side panels of the tableau depict ‘Ram Ki Paidi’ on the banks of the Saryu river in Ayodhya and a big ‘Deepotsav Dwar’ has been erected. It also has a sculpture of Maha Rishi Vasishtha,” an Uttar Pradesh government official said.

This is the first Republic Day celebrations at the ceremonial boulevard after the historic Rajath was named to Kartavya Path last year.

Uttar Pradesh has been winning as the best tableau in the parade for the last two years.

The spiritual city of Varanasi with Kashi Vishwanath Dham was the centrepiece of Uttar Pradesh’s tableau in the 73rd Republic Day Parade on Rajpath in 2022.

The first phase of the mega project, was dedicated to the people by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 13 last year and is expected to boost tourism in the holy town that is said to be one of the oldest cities in the world.

In 2021, the state’s tableau had depicted ancient city Ayodhya’s heritage and the Ram temple, during the ceremonial Republic Day parade on January 26.

The bedecked tableau was fronted by a sitting model of Maharishi Valmiki and the temple model was on the rear side.

Haryana’s Republic Day tableau to depict Lord Krishna’s ‘Virat Swaroop’ form

    [ad_1]

Chandigarh: International Gita Mahotsav is the theme of Haryana’s tableau for this year’s Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path and will depict a large “Virat Swaroop” statue of Lord Krishna as described in the Bhagavad Gita, an official said Sunday.

Amit Agrawal, the additional principal secretary to the chief minister, said the tableau will give the message of the Bhagavad Gita and will also meticulously showcase various scenes of the Mahabharata war.

Asserting that Kurukshetra, where according to scriptures the Mahabharata war was fought, is a renowned seat of culture and civilization, he said, “Here, on the banks of the sacred Saraswati river the Vedas and Puranas were composed and compiled.”

“About 5,159 years ago, on the first day of the Mahabharata war, the eternal message of the Bhagavad Gita was delivered,” Agrawal was quoted as saying in an official statement.

The International Gita Mahotsav is held in Kurukshetra every year. Agrawal said it aims to spread the inspirational message of the Bhagavad Gita and enlighten the world with the message of peace, harmony and universal brotherhood.

In 2018, the Haryana Government decided to start celebrating International Gita Mahotsav in other countries too. The next year, for the first time, the festival was organized in Mauritius and London. In 2022, the festival was also celebrated in Canada.

Last year, Haryana’s tableau at the Republic Day parade was themed on the achievements of the sportspersons hailing from the state.
