MP: Bajrang Bali was tribal who protected Lord Ram, says Congress MLA

    [ad_1]

Seoni: A Congress MLA from Madhya Pradesh has claimed Bajrang Bali was a tribal forest dweller who protected Lord Ram.

The Congress legislator from Barghat constituency in Seoni district, Arjun Singh Kakodiya, also claimed there was no Ayodhya, Kshatriya or Brahmin sena (army) but it was the tribal community that helped Lord Ram (in his exile).

“Bajrang Bali was a tribal who lives in the forest. He protected Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram and helped him. There was no Ayodhya, Kshatriya or Brahmin sena but (it was) the tribal community (that) helped Lord Ram,” Kakodiya said while addressing a public meeting in the presence of MP Congress president Kamal Nath in Udepani village.

    MS Education Academy

He said the tribal community will not tolerate the insult of Bajrang Bali and those who are defaming his name.

Bajrang Bali, also called Hanuman, is a divine monkey companion of Lord Ram. He is one of the central characters of the epic Ramayana.

The Congress is facing backlash from BJP and right-wing organisations for bracketing Bajrang Dal with the Popular Front of India (PFI) in its manifesto for the May 10 Karnataka Assembly polls.

In the manifesto released last week for the polls, the Congress said it was committed to taking firm and decisive action against individuals and organisations spreading hatred amongst communities on grounds of caste and religion.

The mention of Bajrang Dal has evoked a strong reaction with BJP and right-wing organisations accusing Congress of playing appeasement politics.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chanted Jai Bajrang Bali’ during all three public meetings he addressed in poll-bound Karnataka on Wednesday.

“The Congress in its manifesto has decided to lock up Lord Hanuman. Initially, they locked up Prabhu Shri Ram (Lord Ram). And now they want to lock up people who say Jai Bajrang Bali’,” the PM told a public meeting at Hospet in Vijayanagara district on Tuesday.

BJP maligning name of Lord Ram by organising violence: Mamata

    [ad_1]

Digha: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday asserted that she would not let rioters go scot-free and strict action will be taken against them.

Addressing a rally in Purba Medinipur district, Banerjee alleged that the BJP was maligning the name of Lord Ram by organising violence during Ram Navami processions.

Clashes were reported in Hooghly and Howrah districts during Ram Navami processions over the last few days.

    MS Education Academy

“The BJP is behind the violence in Hooghly and Howrah. They had brought in hired ‘goondas’ from other states to unleash violence in Bengal, which is not in our culture. They are defaming the Hindu religion by pitting one community against another. But rioters have no religion, they are just political goons. I appeal to everyone to maintain calm,” she said.

Taking a dig at Union Home Minister Amit Shah, without naming him, she said, “The BJP said if the party comes to power in Bihar, it would hang rioters upside down. Then why are they not doing that to their goondas who are fomenting trouble in Bengal? Charity begins at home.”

Shah had made the remark during a recent public rally in Nawada district of Bihar, which has also witnessed communal clashes during Ram Navami.

Taking potshots at the CPI(M), she alleged that ‘Baam’ (Left) and ‘Ram’ (BJP) have joined hands against the TMC.

BJP slams Jitan Ram Manjhi for remarks on Lord Ram

    [ad_1]

Patna: BJP leaders jumped on the gun to target Bihar’s former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, who marred controversy with his comments that demon king Ravana was superior to Lord Ram.

“These days it has become a fashion to abuse Hindu religion, Hindu religious texts as well Hindu gods and goddesses. It is really condemnable the way RJD leader, Samajwadi Party leader and now Jitan Ram Manjhi is on and off making statements against Hindu gods which hurts the sentiments of common Hindu masses,” said Nikhil Anand, national general secretary of BJP OBC wing.

“They should better check their tongue. If they make a statement against Islam or any other religion, they will be honoured with ‘fatwa’. They are doing it in the name of liberalism, progressivism and to express the sentiment in favour of subalterns and to appease Muslims and their vote bank. In the name of secularism, they should not do anything to hurt the sentiments of Hindu masses. The BJP strongly condemns Manjhi’s statement,” Anand said.

  • Gadkari praises CM Adityanath for controlling crime in UP, compares him with Lord Krishna

Gadkari praises CM Adityanath for controlling crime in UP, compares him with Lord Krishna

    [ad_1]

Gorakhpur: Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday heaped praise on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for controlling the law and order situation in the state and compared him with Lord Krishna who “came on the earth to end the evil”.

Gadkari, who was in the state to inaugurate and lay foundation stones of several national highway projects worth a total of Rs 13,500 crore, reiterated efforts to lay expressway network in UP in a bid to make roads in the state at par with that of the United States.

“Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken strict measures to protect people from the evil and dangerous tendencies in the society. On behalf of the people of the country and in my personal capacity, I congratulate him for the steps he has taken,” the road transport and highways minister said here after laying the foundation stone of and inaugurating various national highway projects worth Rs 10,000 crore.

Referring to a recent conversation with his wife, the Union minister said, “My wife asked me as to what is happening in Uttar Pradesh. When I told her about the measures taken by the state government in the last six years to rein in crime, she told me about epic Bhagwat Gita in which the lord has said that he will take incarnation whenever there is injustice and will end the evil.”

“As the Lord Krishna did, Yogi ji is also acting in a similar way, for safeguarding the gentle (sajjan) people. He has taken strong steps against the people having a mean attitude and are dangerous for society,” Gadkari said in presence of Adityanath on the dais.

Gorakhpur has been ‘karmabhoomi’ of CM Adityanath. He has been elected from there to Lok Sabha several times and is presently an MLA from Gorakhpur Urban constituency.

I am happy that Yogi ji has set an ideal about law and order situation. I had said earlier that we will make the roads of Uttar Pradesh at par with America’s, and our efforts have started in that direction.

“Yogi ji, I assure you that gradually the flight service from Delhi to Lucknow will stop as people will be made to think whether to go by plane or by road. In our country, infrastructure has got priority under the leadership of (Narendra) Modi ji,” Gadkari said.

Strict action to check crimes in UP and demolition of illegal properties of mafias and wrongdoers with the help of bulldozers have been making news very often in the state.

The stern measures in this regard has earned CM Adityanath the nickname “Bulldozer Baba”.
Gadkari said that looking at the changing picture of UP, the way investment is coming in, “I believe that UP will definitely become a happy and prosperous state under the leadership of Yogi ji”.

The development of roads in UP will remove poverty, hunger and unemployment in the state, he said, adding that there is a need to bring the automobile industry in UP so that more and more youths get employment.
Earlier, addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Adityanath said that today with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a strong network of road infrastructure is visible in the entire country.

“The credit for this goes to Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari under the guidance of the prime minister. Highway construction is going on across the country and Gadkari ji has taken its pace to a new height. The world is amazed that despite the biggest pandemic of the century, India’s economy is growing at such a fast pace. Its basis is strong infrastructure,” Adityanath said.

Later, in Mahoba, Gadkari in the presence of the chief minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones of nine national highway projects worth Rs 3,500 crore, an official release said.

Gadkari said Mahoba was the land of brave warriors and had a rich history.

With the construction of Jhansi-Khajuraho road, the traffic will ease in Maihar-Singrauli-Ranchi industrial division and Jhansi-Orchha-Khajuraho route and tourism of the state will get a boost, the release said.

Gadkari said with the construction of Kabrai section on the Madhya Pradesh-Uttar Pradesh border, the traffic in the Bhopal-Kanpur industrial division till Lucknow will be smooth.

The Union minister also said the construction of road over bridge between Jhansi and Prayagraj will facilitate traffic in Bundelkhand region.

Gadkari announced to expand 258 km Ramvangaman road in Chitrakoot to four lanes. He also announced to build 15 km four-lane bypass at a cost of Rs 200 crore in Chitrakoot, 18 km four-lane bypass in Mahoba and 15 km 4-lane bypass in Artara along with four-laning of 70 km stretch from Prayagraj to Mirzapur.

BJP slams post showing Jagan feeding milk to child dressed as Lord Shiva

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: BJP’s Andhra Pradesh co-incharge Sunil Deodhar has criticised a Twitter post in which Andhra CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is seen feeding milk to a child dressed as Lord Shiva, calling it “highly insulting”.

The YSR Congress Party’s post on Saturday was shared on Twitter by Deodhar that read ‘#YSRCP_Insults_Mahadeva’.

“A CM who aggressively converts Hindus to Christianity is now openly insulting Hindus by posting such a cartoon,” a Twitter user posted on Sunday while sharing the YSR Congress’ illustration that was displayed on the occasion of Mahashivratri. That post was re-tweeted by Deodhar.

“A party run by liquor mafia and the Chief Minister who is out on bail does not have the moral right to preach Hindus whom they should feed on festivals,” the post on Twitter by the BJP National Secretary read.

Deodhar also shared a video of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minsiter doing ‘Abhishekam’ of Lord Shiva, saying: “What’s this video, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy? Political drama to woo Hindus for capturing power?”

Stating that animal worship is also a form of God worship, he asked Jagan Mohan Reddy as to why such tweets and ‘preachings’ are not made by him on Bakrid and Christmas.

MP: Railway issues notice to Lord Bajrang Bali for removal of encroachment

    [ad_1]

Morena: The Railway department has served a notice to Lord Bajrang Bali asking for the removal of the “encroachment” on the Railway land in Sabalgarh town in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district, but withdrew it after realising the mistake, an official said on Sunday.

The notice addressed to Bajrang Bali and issued on February 8, directed the removal of the encroachment within seven days or face action. The encroacher will have to pay the expense if the Railways takes action to remove the structure, it said.

The notice was pasted at the temple of the deity.

After the notice went viral and caused an uproar, the Railways rectified the mistake and issued a new one in the name of the priest of the temple.

Jhansi Railway Division’s PRO (Public Relations Officer) Manoj Mathur said the initial notice was served mistakenly.

“Now, the new notice was served to the priest of the temple,” he said.

Earlier, the notice was served to “Bajrang Bali, Sabalgarh” by the senior section engineer of the Jhansi railway division.

The structure was to be removed for the construction of the Sheopur-Gwalior broad-gauge line.

The new notice, issued on February 10, was served in the name of Harishankar Sharma, the priest of the temple.
