Passwords can soon be replaced, Learn all about PassKeys here

    [ad_1]

Passkeys are a new way to authenticate without having to remember and manage passwords. With a passkey, users can sign in to apps and websites using a biometric sensor (such as a fingerprint or facial recognition), PIN, or pattern. This technology replaces legacy authentication methods like passwords and provides robust protection against phishing attacks.

A passkey is a digital credential tied to a user account and a website or application. Here’s how to create and use a passkey:

Register with the website or application using an existing sign-in method.

    1. Click the “Create a Passkey” button.

    2. Check the information stored with the new passkey.

    3. Use the device screen unlock (biometric sensor, PIN, or pattern) to create the passkey.

    image 13 11

When returning to the website or application to sign in, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the website or application.

    2. Click “Sign In”.

    3. Select the passkey option.

    4. Use the device screen unlock (biometric sensor, PIN, or pattern) to complete the login.

The user’s device generates a signature based on the passkey, which is used to verify the login credential between the origin and the passkey.

Passkeys can be used on any device, regardless of where they’re stored. As they’re built on FIDO standards, all browsers can adopt them. Passkey managers protect passkeys from unauthorized access and use, and passkeys themselves don’t allow tracking users or devices between sites.

Biometric information is never revealed to the website or application, making passkeys a safe and secure way to authenticate.

Public key cryptography is used to generate a public-private key pair on the user’s device, making it safe from potential data breaches.

Learn from Rahul, he’s ready to take bullet for nation: Priyanka to PM

    [ad_1]

Jamkhandi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Sunday referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks about verbal abuse, saying one has to take such attacks in their stride in public life and asked him to learn from Rahul Gandhi, who “is ready to take a bullet for the sake of the country”.

Targeting the Congress over its president Mallikarjun Kharge’s “venomous snake” barb at him, Modi on Saturday said till now the party and its leaders had hurled different types of abuses at him 91 times.

At a public meeting here in Bagalkote district, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, said, “At least they (91 abuses) are fitting on one page; if you look at the abuses by them to my family and if we start making a list, we will publish books after books about it.” “It is strange what I’m seeing for the past two-three days. I have seen many prime ministers — Indira Ji (Indira Gandhi), she took bullets for this country. I have seen Rajiv Gandhi. He sacrificed his life for this country. I have seen P V Narasimha Rao and Manmohan Singh working hard for this country,” she said.

    MS Education Academy

“But he (Modi) is the first prime minister I have seen who comes before you and cries that he is being abused. Instead of listening to your grief, he is coming here and telling you his (problems).” Slamming the prime minister, she said someone in his office had made a list not about the problems of the people, but who had abused him multiple times.

“Have courage Modi ji. Learn from my brother Rahul Gandhi. My brother says he is ready to take a bullet for the sake of this country, not just abuse. My brother says he will stand for truth, whether you abuse, shoot a bullet or stab with a knife,” Priyanka Vadra said.

“Don’t fear Modi ji, this is public life and one has to bear such things. One needs to have courage and move forward,” she said, adding, “Now that I’m talking to you, let me tell you, if you learn one more thing it will be good: listen to the voice of the people.” Congress general secretary in-charge organization K C Venugopal also hit out at Prime Minister Modi over his remarks.

“Summary of PM’s speeches: No agenda. No vision. No promises were fulfilled. He has nothing positive to offer, he can only make baseless allegations,” he said on Twitter.

“PM Modi’s tired tirade against us shows they’ve lost the plot in Karnataka. Even he can sense a Congress wave this time,” he added.

Venugopal also said Priyanka Gandhi’s words are resonating across the nation.

“Modi ji, make a list of the problems that you have failed to solve, not of the attacks you face for your incompetence! Karnataka has made up their mind, and your drama is not going to save the BJP from defeat,” he said.

  • I wish more Indian kids, including girls, learn coding early: Tim Cook

I wish more Indian kids, including girls, learn coding early: Tim Cook

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: Coding is the only global language and I wish that more Indian students, including girls, learn coding early in school days so that they can create world-class products and solve real-life problems as they grow up, Apple CEO Tim Cook has stressed.

In an interaction with IANS during his India visit last week, Cook said that coding is one thing schools worldwide including in India should embrace early in children’s lives.

“Coding is the only global language. It is a way to express yourself and arguably, we need more of that in the world and bring the world closer,” said Cook, who has always emphasised that coding should be taught as early as elementary school.

    MS Education Academy

Cook told IANS that everyone should learn programming before they graduate from high school.

“It is the most important language you can learn. A programming language is a way to tap into your creativity and unleash it to the world,” he added.

The Apple CEO has always emphasised on including coding in school curriculum, saying a four-year degree is not necessary to be proficient at coding.

Apart from empowering developers via its Bengaluru-based App Accelerator, Apple has taken another significant leap: nurturing young talent in coding across schools and colleges in the country via powerful apps.

For young coders, Apple offers Swift which is a powerful open language that lets everyone build amazing apps.

Last year, Patiala-born Jaskaran Singh and Pune-based Jay Firke were among more than 350 students from 40 countries and regions who were selected as Apple’s ‘2022 Swift Student Challenge’ winner for showcasing extraordinary coding skills.

Singh developed a productivity app called ‘Nudges: Minimal To-Do’, which is available on the App Store.

Firke, 21, is a self-taught developer and learnt coding using online resources. Having studied at MacroVision Academy in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh, he is focused on working in the AI and AR space and his submission with ‘PushARBall’ was completely AI driven.

The ‘Swift Student Challenge’ is part of Apple’s Worldwide Developers’ Conference (WWDC).

Moreover, Xcode is an integrated development environment (IDE) for macOS containing a suite of software development tools.

In Cook’s words, every kid should learn to code as coding is the most important second language they can learn.

“Coding is one of the most valuable skills a person can learn. It can open new doors, jumpstart careers, and help big dreams seem like achievable goals. Everyone around the world should have an opportunity to learn how to code,” according to the Apple CEO.

  • Uddhav’s roar at MVA mega-rally: ‘Learn from Israel how to save democracy’

Uddhav’s roar at MVA mega-rally: ‘Learn from Israel how to save democracy’

    [ad_1]

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Echoing the Opposition’s apprehensions, former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) President Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday cited the example of Israel on how to protect democracy from authoritarianism in India.

“Look at Israel! How the people there have taken to the streets to protest against certain laws there… even the police joined the demonstrations and Israeli embassies all over the world shut down in solidarity with the people there. After it became impossible for their leader (Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu), the laws were withdrawn,” Thackeray said.

Addressing a mammoth rally of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), Thackeray lauded the people of Israel and asserted that “this is called democracy, unlike India where anybody who speaks against the government is targeted in different ways”, and the Constitution of the country is being trampled upon.

    MS Education Academy

“It’s heartening to note that democracy is still strong in India… the farmers’ protests (2020-2021) saw the (Bharatiya Janata Party) government finally withdrawing the farm laws. Even the workers of the country are very much alert,” said Thackeray in a veiled warning.

He cautioned that those who try to trample the Constitution of Bharat Mata “will be kicked out”, and said the MVA will do everything to protect democracy in the country.

Thackeray lamented how his (original) Shiv Sena had erred for 25 years with the BJP, and nothing was done though the two parties came together in power twice (1995-1999 and 2014-2019), and gave examples of the major decisions of the MVA government of Shiv Sena (UBT)-Congress-Nationalist Congress Party did during its two-and-half years in office before it was unceremoniously toppled in June 2022.

Hammering at the BJP as ‘the most corrupt party’, the former chief minister said its name should be changed to ‘Bhrasht Jana Party’, since wherever they see any corrupt leaders, “they grab them”, but teach others lessons in public morality, as the massive gathering roared its approval more than half-dozen times during his speech.

Thackeray attacked the BJP on its brand of ‘Hindutva’, how Hindus feel insecure and are compelled to take out ‘Hindu Janakrosh Yatra’ though ruled by “the most powerful Hindu leader in the world, but his power means nothing”, and joining hands with any party irrespective of ideologies to bring down duly elected governments for grabbing power as in Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir, and Bihar.

NCP’s Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar demanded to know what the Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and BJP’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis have done for the youth, unemployed, farmers, or problems like inflation.

“Ever since this government took over, industries are fleeing from Maharashtra, the political atmosphere is vitiated and big projects are not ready to come here. This will be very damaging for the state’s economy and youth who will be deprived of jobs,” warned Pawar.

On the Shiv Sena-BJP’s ‘Savarkar Gaurav Yatra’ taken out in the state on Sunday to protest against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s utterances, Pawar pointedly asked that when the ex-governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and many other BJP leaders insulted Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule, no action was taken, and how the Supreme Court recently labelled the state government as ‘impotent’.

“You only talk and do nothing. You are taking out ‘Savarkar Gaurav Yatras’, if you have the guts, then announce the Bharat Ratna immediately for Swatantryaveer Savarkar,” dared Pawar.

Congress Legislative Party Leader Balasaheb Thorat said that calling anybody ‘chor’ (thief) is now a crime and the country has witnessed what happened to Rahul Gandhi.

“He was not allowed to speak in Parliament as he was raising issues of corruption, even (Congress President) Mallikarjun was denied permission to speak, and even if they spoke, their speech records were erased. The people are watching everything. The latest opinion polls suggest that MVA will get 38 out of 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra,” said Thorat.

Taking pot-shots at the Central government, NCP senior leader Dhananjay Munde said that the BJP is simply playing a “fraud’ on the masses and it’s an “April Fool government”. He said that April 1 (All Fools Day) should be celebrated as the BJP’s birthday.

He also slammed the BJP for misusing the central investigation agencies like ED, CBI or I-T to scare and silence the Opposition but declared that “the people will not sit quiet now”.

Congress’ ex-CM Ashok Chavan said the manner in which the Shinde-Fadnavis regime grabbed power by breaking the Shiv Sena MLAs was “unprecedented in the state’s history” and will not be tolerated by the people here.

“Its not just about the MVA government, but a question of preserving democracy. The state is reeling under multiple crises, has piled up a debt burden of Rs 7 lakh crore, but they are busy in propaganda and wasting money on ‘yatras’ now,” said Chavan.

He also lauded Thackeray terming him as a humble leader who took decisions on merits in public interest without any bias on party lines, and called upon the people not to forget the treatment meted out to Rahul Gandhi in the next elections.

Elaborating on Israel, Thackeray said that Netanhayu, who is a friend of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, attempted to control that country’s judiciary, and said “similar efforts are on by the BJP to undermine the justice system in India, and we must be on our guard”.

“Democracy will end the day the judiciary goes down. In Israel, Netanyahu took back the laws due to public anger. The people vote, and the people should also keep a watch on the PM. We have the power to defend the Constitution,” said Thackeray.

This was the first mega-public meeting of MVA after it lost power nine months ago and various leaders vowed that many more similar rallies would be held in the coming days, sounding the bugle for the upcoming civic polls, and next year’s Lok Sabha and Maharashtra Assembly elections.

  • Opinion | The Painful Lesson Donald Trump Could Learn from R. Kelly and Michael Avenatti

Opinion | The Painful Lesson Donald Trump Could Learn from R. Kelly and Michael Avenatti

    [ad_1]

    mag marrioti illo

But today’s announcement is not good news for Trump. Even if he ultimately beats the charges in Manhattan, the mere fact that he is facing charges there will make it more difficult for him to defend himself in criminal cases elsewhere, be it Fulton County, federal court in Washington, or Florida where a classified documents case might be filed.

I’ve defended clients who face charges in multiple jurisdictions at the same time, and it’s a challenge. One might think that each case stands on its own merits, but in reality there is a multiplier effect that works against defendants. Instead of considering the best move in any one particular case, defense counsel have to consider how their words or actions in one case (Manhattan, for example) will impact other cases, including ones that haven’t been charged yet. Defending a client facing charges in multiple jurisdictions requires a defense team to weigh competing priorities and play three-dimensional chess while the prosecutors in each case can focus like a laser on the case at hand.

Don’t believe me? Just ask the beleaguered lawyers who defended R. Kelly in a wide-ranging racketeering case in New York federal court, an obstruction and child pornography case in Chicago federal court, a solicitation of a minor and child prostitution case in Minnesota state court, and a child sex abuse case in Chicago state court at the same time. They managed to ensure that the weakest case — the New York racketeering case — went first. But Kelly lost in both New York and Chicago federal court, even though some of his Chicago co-defendants were acquitted, and he was subsequently sentenced to 31 years in federal prison.

Michael Avenatti, who once represented Trump accuser Stormy Daniels, faced a similar meat grinder. In late March 2019, Avenatti was charged by federal prosecutors in New York with attempting to extort $25 million from Nike. On the same day, federal prosecutors in California charged Avenatti with wire fraud and bank fraud. Less than a month later, he was charged with embezzling money from clients. A month after that, prosecutors charged him with defrauding Daniels out of proceeds from her book deal. Avenatti lost the Nike extortion trial in New York in early 2020. Two years later, he pleaded guilty to stealing millions of dollars from his clients in California. The bottom line is that he prevailed in none of the cases and is due to be released in 2026.

One of the challenges facing most defendants who juggle cases in multiple jurisdictions is a drain on resources and attention. By the time Avenatti stood trial in California, he was out of funds and represented himself. Kelly, a multiple platinum-selling R&B singer whose net worth was once estimated at nearly $100 million, was so broke that he was unable to post $100,000 in bail. Trump likely won’t have that problem, so long as he can continue to pay for his legal bills using money raised by his political action committee.

But a conviction can be a problem for a defendant like Trump in a later trial. By the time Avenatti and Kelly reached their second trials, they were both convicted felons, which made it difficult for either to take the stand in his own defense. One of R. Kelly’s co-defendants testified for over four hours, and was ultimately acquitted, but Kelly couldn’t even consider doing so given his prior conviction. Trump needs a clean sweep in Manhattan to avoid a similar fate. Even a conviction on a misdemeanor falsifying business records charge, for example, would potentially be admissible to impeach Trump’s credibility if he testified in a federal trial.

Even if Trump is acquitted in Manhattan, that case might still create problems for his legal team. Typically, defense attorneys avoid taking positions — or having their clients say much at all — because every word from the client can be used against him in subsequent proceedings. If Trump takes the witness stand in Manhattan, prosecutors in other jurisdictions can comb through the transcript for nuggets to use against him in other trials.

Of course, Trump’s lawyers also appear to be unable to keep him from speaking publicly about the Manhattan charges. Those public statements, outside of a courtroom, can be used against him too.

The documents produced by Trump’s team in the Manhattan case can be obtained and used by prosecutors elsewhere. The legal positions he takes can preclude him from taking the opposite position elsewhere. A judge would be far less likely to take Trump’s position seriously in a subsequent case if he had taken a contradictory position earlier. The witnesses who testify on his behalf will never surprise another prosecutor again with their presence or their testimony.

When I was a federal prosecutor, the defense attorneys who gave me the most trouble were nimble and aggressive, hitting me with arguments and evidence that I did not expect. But it’s difficult to be nimble or aggressive when you have to consider how each word you say and action you take impacts multiple other cases that have been or could be brought against your client. That is the unenviable position that Trump’s attorneys find themselves in.

To be clear, Trump is not going to prison simply because multiple prosecutors might indict him simultaneously. Facts matter, of course, and defendants have tools they can use to manage this difficult situation. Trump’s team could try to employ a strategy used by the attorneys for the late Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens, who requested a speedy trial in his corruption case and won an acquittal. But there was only one case against Stevens and it was weak from the start. (A subsequent investigation revealed that federal prosecutors withheld evidence beneficial to Stevens.)

Trump and his team can take solace that the first prosecutor up to the plate has a relatively weak case, but no one with experience handling multiple cases at once would argue that Wednesday was a good day for Team Trump. They face the prospect of a multi-front war and they may not have the luxury of fighting one battle at a time.

Sensitise police that Indian Muslims are Indians; learn from Telangana: Ex SC judge

    [ad_1]

Former Supreme Court judge Rohinton Nariman, in a foreword to a report on the violence during last year’s Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti festivities, praised the Telangana police force as well as Telangana High Court for ensuring peace and harmony existed between Hindu and Muslim communities during the 2022 Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti festivities.

In a forward to a report called Routes of Wrath, written by the Citizens and Lawyers Initiative, which speaks about the violence that took place in April 2022 in several Indian states, Justice Nariman pointed out that there is an urgent need to sensitise ‘Indian Muslims’ to various state police forces.

“Given the preamble and the Fundamental Duties chapter of the Constitution of India, it is of primary importance to sensitise the police force in all the states of India to these constitutional values and fundamental duties of the citizens. This can be done by first informing them that Muslims situated in India are Indians,” Nariman wrote.

The report documents nine Indian states that reported widespread acts of hooliganism and violence. “In just three states, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh, it has found that during these processions at least 100 persons from the minority community were injured and two killed,” the former SC judge wrote.

He stressed that Indian Muslims are not a homogenous group of people but are as Indian as the rest of the country.

“Once this basic fact is drilled into the police force in all the states, things could become much better. Also, some way must be found to stop political interference with the functioning of the police in all the states. All this should ensure a new beginning on the long and hard road to achieving fraternity, which alone ensures the dignity of every individual citizen,” Nariman wrote in the foreward.

Justice Nariman stated that India chose to be democratic and secular and rejected the British’s divide-and-rule policy.

“States have to maintain law and order in a neutral fashion without favouring any religious community. It also means that freedom of speech and expression alone leads to an orderly change of government by democratic means. Above all, the cardinal value of fraternity, assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the nation is also highlighted in the preamble to the Constitution of India,” Justice Nariman said.

  • What straight men need to learn from Eric André and Emily Ratajkowski | Rebecca Shaw

What straight men need to learn from Eric André and Emily Ratajkowski | Rebecca Shaw

    [ad_1]

Valentine’s Day was earlier this week and while I don’t personally observe Valentine’s Day, I do appreciate that it usually provides a few morsels of tasty gossip. We get to see defiant social media posts about being newly single, sweet posts about new sparks and of course – people soft and hard launching new relationships.

Often Instagram related, “soft launching” a new relationship means that you post a picture that shows you’re with a new someone, but with no identifying features. It’s a photo of two wine glasses and someone else’s arm in the frame. It’s a blurry, dark photo taken in bed, as if you’ve started dating someone who is also in witness protection. A “hard launch” is explicit. It’s the couple kissing, or a full-face photo (tagged) and some love heart emojis. Or perhaps a water emoji. There’s no room for doubt.

This Valentine’s Day we got the special treat of a celebrity hard launch.

If you aren’t aware of these two, I’ll give you a quick rundown. Eric André is a successful comedian and actor known for his alt-absurdist comedy. Emily Ratajkowski first came to prominence appearing in the controversial Blurred Lines music video and has a successful modelling career. She’s also released a book, and published a well-received essay about her experience fighting to own her image. She’s good friends with rising comedy star Ziwe, so she’s probably funny in her own right.

They are two successful people, so why has this caused such a stir online? Well, it’s because people’s minds are blown that she is one of the most beautiful women in the world – and he is Eric André. Although obviously many people find him attractive (he is!), lots of people are finding it necessary to point out that he’s maybe not quite on her level, looks wise.

Luckily for Eric it doesn’t matter either way. This is because he is a graduate of the School of Being Funny Enough That Hot Babes Like You. I very much relate to this, and can also speak to this, because I am a fellow alum.

For context, I am a fat lesbian (shock!), so I am not what is considered a traditionally attractive woman. Before I go on here, my girlfriend has insisted that I have to tell you all that “I am hot”. However, for most of my life it was made clear to me by society how unlikely it was that I would ever find people who were attracted to me. I believed it for a really long time. Luckily – or perhaps mindfully as a way to cope – I became funny. I developed a good personality and varied interests. I am nice. This, shockingly, was enough. Cool and interesting people started wanting to go on dates with me, they like hanging out with me – and sometimes they’ve even fallen in love with me!

It turns out that a lot of what women want is an interesting and/or funny person to talk to. If that person will also listen to them and care about them as a human being and treat them like one, you’re on to a winning formula. As a whole, I think women are far more accepting and able to enjoy different body types and levels of attractiveness in their partners and I don’t think this is a quality appreciated enough by men. Because I am fat, I know that my romantic life would probably be a lot harder if I had to find straight men who wanted to date me. But I don’t, I get to date women. And so do straight men!

Even though it’s a pretty damn good deal, there’s a not-insignificant amount of men who still insist on focusing on the wrong things. Instead of looking at pairings like this and seeing that women are clearly dating men because they are funny, smart and ambitious, and deciding to work on themselves so that they become more appealing, there’s still a lot of men who treat dating women like some sort of machiavellian scheme.

Straight men need to get the message. They should stop listening to other men who clearly despise women, like Andrew Tate, and take a page out of the book of men like André, or Pete Davidson. Davidson is another funny guy with his own vibe who dates a slew of beautiful and successful women, often to the confusion of other men. But look at them and take notes – it’s not that complicated. Women just need you to not be threatened by their success, to be fun, and to treat them nicely, or even just normally.

Even if you’re not the hottest person around, women don’t need to be tricked into dating you, or controlled into enjoying your company, or talked into spending time with you. I have seen a lot of men respond to this argument by saying “but Eric André is famous and rich, it’s not the same!” This is correct, but I would guess that Em Rata is richer than him. If she wanted to, she could (and has) dated men who are richer than both of them put together and also incredibly classically good looking. But instead, she is now dating a cool guy who makes her laugh. I don’t mean that every man needs to be a professional comedian, but it’s always going to work out better for you if you try to be a fun and interesting person, or at the very least a genuinely interested person.

Become a person you like, and chances are you’ll find people who like you too.

Rebecca Shaw is a writer based in Sydney

  • Hyderabad: Tamilisai urges citizens to learn on spot CPR

Hyderabad: Tamilisai urges citizens to learn on spot CPR

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: In view of the sharp rise in cases of sudden heart attacks reported in recent times, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has urged that every citizen must learn the technique of performing CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation).

Tamilisai participated in the free community hands only-CPR programme at Gandhi Medical College on Friday which emphasized that more people be trained in administering CPR correctly.

“Emphasised timely CPR as FIRST AID on the spot within a time frame called GOLDEN HOUR’S will be life-saving. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation must become a social movement. Everyone should learn it.”, stated the Governor in her tweet.

The workshop will be held for another two days at the medical college’s Alumni Association Building, Gandhi Hospital, Musheerabad.

It saw the participation of over 300 people including students, teachers, policemen and the general public attending day 1 of the free workshop.

Trainer and volunteer from the American Heart Association, Dennis McCauley gave a demonstration to the audience on how to handle a person who has suddenly collapsed before initiating CPR.

Giving a step-by-step demonstration, he said that the first thing to do is to move the suffering person to a safe place followed by checking the person for response (breathing) and lastly initiating CPR immediately if the person does not respond.

Compression during the CPR process is the crucial part, remarked the trainers, adding, “It has to be two fingers above the chest bone and that can be in the middle of the chest. Also, the compressions should be two inches deep and they should be at the rate of 100 to 120 compressions per minute.”

The programme was able to render useful information that many participants were unaware of, including those with medical backgrounds.

Performing CPR on an intoxicated person, CPR while the person is still breathing, etc were a few of the doubts the audience raised during the session.

Meanwhile, the alumni association has planned to put up Automated External Defibrillators (AED) at several locations across the city.

After borrowing a personal loan, you need to repay the money in EMIs, including the applied interest. Most Personal Loan schemes are unsecured, meaning they do not require any collateral, guarantor, or security for backup.

As far as applying for a Personal Loan online is concerned, aspiring borrowers have two options: the financial institution’s website or mobile app.

You can generally apply for a loan by providing basic personal and income details. The lenders will consider – age, income, employment, credit score, and outstanding debts to assess your eligibility and interest rate. This article will teach you a few crucial steps to get Personal Loan quick approval.

    Calculate Personal Loan Eligibility

Qualifying for a Personal Loan involves several steps – and the first one is to ensure that it’s the right loan plan for you. For instance, if you want to borrow money to renovate your house, the loan should be enough to cover the renovation cost.

Although moneylenders determine the loan amount based on – income, credit history, and repayment capacity, be sure to compare loan schemes and get the best offer.

You can calculate Personal Loan eligibility using an eligibility calculator and apply for an appropriate loan plan.

Things to Consider Before Personal Loan Application

Before shopping around for the best Personal Loan offers, here are a few essential things to consider:

    • Eligibility: Various loan companies like Fullerton India have different eligibility conditions that you need to fulfill to qualify. These include – age, income, employment and credit rating. Check the particular NBFC’s eligibility criteria and ensure fulfilling them before applying to get Personal Loan quick approval.
    • Documentation Requirements: Eligible applicants must provide a few necessary documents to support their details. These include – address, income, and identity proof. Check the required documents’ availability before applying to accelerate the loan process.
    • Interest Rate: The interest rate is a crucial parameter that significantly affects your EMI and total loan cost. The higher the interest rate, the costlier the loan will be. Aspiring borrowers with a good income and decent credit score have higher chances of getting the lowest interest rate on Personal Loans.
    • Repayment Capacity: Decide on a loan amount you can easily repay within the loan tenure. An individual’s repayment capacity depends on income and financial obligations. Use Fullerton India’s eligibility calculator to calculate Personal Loan eligibility and apply for an adequate loan amount.
    • Loan EMIs: Use a Personal Loan EMI calculator to calculate the monthly EMI amount for the loan. Ideally, the loan EMI should not consume more than 65% of the applicant’s monthly income. You can easily adjust it into your monthly budget without straining your finances.

    Fulfill the Documentation Requirements

Each NBFC has different documentation requirements for Personal Loan applications. These often include the following:

    • Identity proof, like an Aadhaar card, voter ID, passport, and driving license
    • Address proof, like an Aadhaar card, voter ID, passport, driving license, rent agreement, ration card, and utility bill
    • Income proof, like bank statements, salary slips, ITR, Form 16, etc.

    Decide on the Loan Amount

Remember that when an individual borrows money, they don’t just repay the principal amount. They also pay interest on the money they borrowed. Paying interest on loan amount that you do not use makes no sense.

However, if you get a lower loan amount than required, eventually, you would seek other expensive funding sources at the last minute. Therefore, the loan amount should be sufficient to cover the intended expense but not more than your repayment capacity.

    Check the Credit Score

Personal Loan lenders rely heavily on the applicant’s creditworthiness. It is advised to check credit scores and obtain the latest credit reports before applying. As checking your credit score is a soft inquiry, it does not impact your credit score. If your score is between 750 and 900, the chances of getting quick approval at better interest rates are high.

    Complete the Application Process

Visit the selected NBFCs website and fill out their online application form with personal and financial details. Scan and upload the necessary documents to complete the application process. Double-check the details before hitting the submit button and wait for the verification process to complete.

Once the loan company verifies all details and documents, they send a loan offer with the proposed loan amount, interest rate, and loan tenure. When you accept the loan offer, they disburse it directly into your bank account shortly after approval.

Those with excellent credit scores find Personal Loans a reasonably inexpensive way to cover their costs. A Personal Loan’s quick approval depends on the applicant’s creditworthiness, loan purpose, and repayment capacity. After approval and disbursal, borrowers must repay it in EMIs over a set term of up to 60 months.
