Nikhil Siddhartha-starrer ‘Spy’ centred around Netaji’s death releases on June 29

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: After the nationwide success of ‘Karthikeya 2’, Tollywood star Nikhil Siddhartha is back in the news with the pan-India thriller, ‘Spy’. The makers unveiled a short video on Saturday to reveal Nikhil’s association with the movie and create a buzz about “India’s Best Kept Secret”.

So, what’s the best-kept secret of the country? It’s about the freedom fighter and founder of the Indian National Army (INA), Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, who gave the nation the slogan: ‘Tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe azadi doonga’ (You give me blood, I will give you freedom).

Netaji’s death is still a mystery. A movie based on this hidden story is sure to amp up curiosity levels. So, ‘Spy’ clearly is not a regular movie in the espionage genre.

The film sees the editor, Garry BH, making his debut as director with the movie, which is being produced on a grand scale. The makers announced that ‘Spy’ will be released on June 29. The teaser will be out on May 12.

Iswarya Menon is the leading lady opposite Nikhil. Sanya Thakur will be seen as the second lead in the movie and Aryan Rajesh makes his comeback in a special role.

Producer K. Rajashekhar Reddy billed the film as “a complete action-packed spy thriller” that will be released in five languages — Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

  • Is delaying nikah an act of sin in Islam?

Is delaying nikah an act of sin in Islam?

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Marriage is one of the most significant events in the life of a Muslim. In Islam, marriage is considered a sacred bond between two individuals that forms the foundation of a family. It is not only encouraged but is also considered a religious obligation to perform it as early as possible. Any delay in this regard without any valid acceptable reason is considered an unfair act.

Islam places great importance on performing the compulsory prayer, offering the funeral prayer when the dead body is present, and marrying as soon as a suitable match is found. Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is reported to have said, “Do not delay in three things; i) The offering of the compulsory prayer. ii) The offering of the funeral prayer when the dead body is present. iii) The marriage of a woman when her match is found.”

In India, the legal minimum age of marriage is different for girls and boys. For girls, it is 18 years, while a boy must be 21 years old to legally marry someone.

    MS Education Academy

Any marriage involving a girl below the age of 18 years is considered child marriage and is punishable by law.

”Tu Secular’ certificate to RSS man’: Owaisi slams Congress

    [ad_1]

Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), criticised former Congress President Sonia Gandhi when she campaigned in Karnataka’s Hubballi for Jagadish Shettar, who just joined the party after cutting relations with the BJP.

Owaisi told a crowd in Hubballi on Saturday that he did not anticipate Sonia Gandhi to campaign for Jagadish Shettar, whom he referred to as “a man from the RSS.”

Jagadish Shettar resigned from the BJP last month after being denied a ticket to run in the Karnataka assembly elections on May 10. On a Congress ticket, he is running for the Hubballi-Dharwad Central Assembly constituency.

“Ye aapka Secularism hai? Tum aisey muqabala karogey Modi se? Madam Sonia Gandhi mujey summed nahi this aapsey ke aap ek RSS ke aadmi ke liye campaign karney aayengi. Jagdish Shettar toh RSS se aaya hai. Afsoos ki baat hai ki ideology ki ladai mei Congress nakaam hai,” he said slamming the Congress.

(Is this your Secularism? Is this how you will fight Modi? Masam Sonai Gandhi I did not expect that you will come and campaign for an RSS man. Jagdish Shettar had come from RSS. It is sad that Congress is unsuccessful in the war of ideology.)

He added that Congress welcomes those who leave BJP for the party terming them as secular.

“Congress ka mamala ye hai ke jo bjp se nikal gaya..inkey paas ek certificate ki dukaan hai..yun laga ke laga detey (acts out licking a paper to make it stick)..tu secular bolkey. (Congress believes that those who leave BJP are welcomed with a certificate that says “You are Secular”.)

  • Jr NTR to host THIS show

Jr NTR to host THIS show

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Imagine being captivated by someone’s oratory abilities as they speak to a crowd with such charisma and passion that you can’t help but pay attention to every word. That is the magnetic energy that Jr. NTR, one of the few Tollywood movie heroes with such qualities, brings to the table. And now he might be making his way back to television.

NTR’s television debut with Bigg Boss Telugu’s first season was a huge success, leaving viewers wanting more. While he did not return for the subsequent seasons, he did make a comeback in 2021 with the critically acclaimed show Evaru Meelo Koteeshwarulu. Despite its popularity, NTR’s hectic schedule made it difficult for him to continue, leaving fans disappointed.

However, rumours are circulating that ETV, a prominent channel, has approached NTR with an exciting new proposition: a large conversation show on their OTT platform, ETV Win. So far, this platform has seen the release of a few original films and TV episodes, but they have yet to gain widespread popularity. ETV hopes to increase their subscriber base and make a splash in the industry by bringing on the magnetic presence of Jr. NTR.

    MS Education Academy

NTR and the ETV organisation have a long history of collaboration. Ramoji Rao, the owner of ETV, actually produced NTR’s debut film, Ninnu Choodalani. With such a strong bond between them, NTR is likely to accept this exciting new opportunity.

However, with such a hectic schedule, it is unclear how NTR will fit this show into his already packed schedule. We’ll have to wait for a formal confirmation to find out if this exciting collaboration will take place. Meanwhile, the prospect of Jr. NTR enthralling audiences with his commanding presence and oratory skills is simply thrilling.

  • Turkey embassy in Khartoum to relocate after gunfire on ambassador’s car

Turkey embassy in Khartoum to relocate after gunfire on ambassador’s car

    [ad_1]

Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has announced that Turkey has decided to relocate its embassy in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, to Port Sudan, in response to an earlier incident where the Turkish ambassador’s vehicle was targeted by gunfire.

“For the safety of our embassy and our colleagues, we decided to move our embassy to Port Sudan,” Cavusoglu was quoted as saying by the semi-official Anadolu Agency, Xinhua news agency reported.

Turkish Ambassador Ismail Cobanoglu had discussed the issue with both the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and informed them about the relocation plans, the Turkish minister added.

    MS Education Academy

The decision was made after the official vehicle of the Turkish ambassador was under gunfire hit on Saturday, while no one was wounded in the accident, and the vehicle sustained damage.

After the incident, the RSF and the Sudanese army exchanged accusations. The RSF claimed that the area where the attack occurred was under military control and reiterated its commitment to protecting diplomatic missions in the country. Conversely, the army attributed responsibility to the RSF for the assault.

  • New Zealand: Indian-origin man sentenced for torturing, strangling woman to death

New Zealand: Indian-origin man sentenced for torturing, strangling woman to death

    [ad_1]

Auckland: A 33-year-old Indian-origin man has been sentenced to more than 19 years in prison in New Zealand for sexually violating and fatally strangling a woman with Down syndrome in 2021, media reports said.

Shamal Sharma showed no signs of emotion in the High Court at Auckland this week as Justice Edwin Wylie set the minimum term of imprisonment for the mandatory life sentence, the NZ Herald reported.

Sharma was arrested in September 2021, two days after 27-year-old Lena Zhang Harrap’s body was discovered about a kilometre away from her Mt. Albert home.

    MS Education Academy

According to court documents, Harrap encountered Sharma early in the morning when she had stepped out for a walk. He tortured her over a period of about two hours, inflicting multiple blows to her face before strangling her, which led to her death.

Sharma left the area after abandoning the victim’s body in the bushes and shrubbery, authorities said, adding that he was apprehended by police two days later.

Harrap received 13 bruises and abrasions to her head, as well as blunt force trauma that caused brain injuries but were not fatal, according to a pathologist.

Some injuries were so brutal that they could have independently caused her death, Crown prosecutor Matthew Nathan told the court while acknowledging Sharma’s history of schizophrenia, but said the attack was motivated by sexual desire.

“This has a degree of sadism through the infliction of pain,” he told the judge.

The court was told that barely 24 hours before the incident, Sharma had also violently preyed on a stranger jogging on the footpath, who managed to save herself and called the police from the nearest house.

“No sentence is long enough, and no justice can replace the life and love that was lost,” Harrap’s mother said after the court judgment.

Sharma’s lawyer Jonathan Hudson said his client is suffering from schizophrenia, and had been living in his car after being evicted from emergency housing, the stuff.co.nz reported.

The report quoted Justice Wylie as saying that Sharma’s offence included “a high level of brutality and callousness against a profoundly vulnerable woman, described by the family as childlike”.

  • Big fight between Naga Chaitanya and top director

Big fight between Naga Chaitanya and top director

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: The news of a rift between actor Naga Chaitanya and director Parasuram has been making the rounds in Tollywood recently. The two had a falling out after Parasuram allegedly duped Naga Chaitanya out of a project in favour of Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata.’

Parasuram approached Naga Chaitanya with a script and even registered the name ‘Nageswara Rao.’ Naga Chaitanya was excited to work with the director of hits like ‘Geeta Govindam,’ but just as production was about to begin, Parasuram changed his mind and chose Mahesh Babu’s film instead.

The director’s actions understandably hurt Naga Chaitanya, and even though Parasuram later attempted to resurrect their collaboration, the actor was too deeply hurt to consider it. Naga Chaitanya was frank in his criticism of Parasuram in a recent interview with GreatAndhra, “I don’t want to waste time talking about him. He squandered my time. I don’t want to waste time worrying about it,” he explained.

    MS Education Academy

Parasuram is now working on his next project, which will be produced by Dil Raju and star Vijay Deverakonda. It remains to be seen whether this new collaboration will be a success, but one thing is certain Naga Chaitanya and Parasuram’s relationship has been irreparably harmed. Because the Tollywood industry is known for its close relationships between actors and directors, this feud has piqued the interest of both fans and industry insiders. It remains to be seen whether the two will ever reconcile, but for the time being, it appears that Naga Chaitanya has moved on to other projects while Parasuram is working on his upcoming film.

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: The initial investigation after the recent searches at BYJU’S have so far found no Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) violations by the edtech firm, according to sources.

Sources indicated that the recent searches conducted on the premises of BYJU’S in Bengaluru by Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the material collected has yet to establish any FEMA violations.

The investigations are still at an early stage and according to sources, BYJU’S had cooperated and provided ED with all the necessary documents.

When contacted, a top ED official told IANS that the BYJU’S investigation is ongoing and “we cannot comment on the ongoing investigation”.

The ED had earlier carried out searches at three premises linked to BYJU’S in Bengaluru, in connection with alleged foreign exchange violations.

ED in a tweet had said that they collected various incriminating documents and digital data during its searches.

FEMA searches also revealed that the company has received foreign direct investment to the tune of Rs 28,000 crore (approximately) during the period from 2011 to 2023.

Further, the company has also remitted about Rs 9,754 crore to various foreign jurisdictions during the same period in the name of overseas direct investment.

A BYJU’S spokesperson had said that the ED visit “was related to a routine inquiry under FEMA and there has been no violations under FEMA by BYJU’S.

“We have been completely transparent with the authorities and have provided them with all the information they have requested. We have nothing but the utmost confidence in the integrity of our operations, and we are committed to upholding the highest standards of compliance and ethics,” the company spokesperson had said.

The edtech firm said that it will continue to work closely with the authorities to ensure that they have all the information they need.

“We are confident that this matter will be resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner. We want to emphasise that it is business as usual at BYJU’S,” said the company.
