Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MP J Santosh Kumar announced that he will be adopting thousand acres of Kodimiala forest land in Kondagutta area on Thursday.
The announcement was made in view and ahead of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s (KCR) birthday which is on February 17 as a part of the CM’s Green India challenge.
Kondagattu in Jagityala district is known is synonymous with Lord Hanuman. CM KCR has announced to rebuild the famous Kondagattu Temple that is placed in the midst of dense forests and mountains.
Kumar said that the CM KCR aspires for a Telangana that radiates green and spiritual auras along with development in all fields, whether it is the construction of Kaleswaram, the reconstruction of Yadadri, or the development of the Anjanna Temple, the god of Koti Mokkula, that is proof of Kesiar’s vision.
A total of 1,094 acres of land has been adopted.
In the first installment, the MP announced that this above thousand acres of forest land will be greened with a cost of one crore rupees. The MP said that the remaining works will be completed in installments.
The MP also said that he has a strong connection with Kondagattu from his childhood, as he visited that place several times with CM KCR.
“It is thought that the pooja in the Kondagattu temple, which dates back before five hundred years, was performed using the fragrant flora and sandalwood trees found in this area. Again, for that reason, a lot of medicinal and aromatic plants will be planted in this woodland region,” Kumar added.

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had a close shave on Monday when an unidentified man hurled a plastic chair at him in Aurangabad during his Samadhan Yatra.
Nitish Kumar reached the Barun block to inaugurate the panchayat building, and attend a programme there, when a chair fell in front of him.
Following the incident, security personnel surrounded the Chief Minister and took him away after the event. The local police started the investigation to identify that person responsible for hurling the clair on CM Nitish Kumar.
Earlier in the day, Nitish Kumar visited Rohtas district as well and reviewed the government projects. He also met viral girl Saloni in Rohtas and appreciated her effort of creating awareness against liquor consumption.
Saloni sang a song in Bhojpuri on the consequences of drinking liquor consumption for the Chief Minister. She came into the limelight when she sang the song in her school last year.
Liquor has been banned in Bihar since April 2016 but is still available illicitly and a large number of people have lost their lives by drinking spurious or poisonous liquor. One such incident recently occurred in Chapra district when more than 100 persons died in January this year.
Hyderabad: Lok Sabha Congress MP, N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday said that the construction of All India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS) Bibinagar has been delayed indefinitely by the Central Government with a lack of transparency.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare answered MP Uttam Kumar’s question in Lok Sabha regarding the long-pending AIIMS Bibinagar project and said that the tender has been awarded but did not provide any timeline for the completion of the project.
“A long-standing public demand of Telangana State has been delayed indefinitely by the Central Government and moreover with a shameful lack of transparency, no reliable information has been provided. Instead, the Government has revised information provided by themselves repeatedly, and have not furnished a single reason for the continuous delays,” said the Nalgonda MP.
The Telangana MP had raised a similar question on September 18, 2020, in the Lok Sabha and the Union health ministry informed the House that the timeline for completion of AIIMS Bibinagar is September 2022.
In February 2022, the Ministry informed that the date of completion has been pushed to November 2023 and subsequently in July 2022 when MP Uttam Kumar asked for a timeline of completion, the Ministry stated that the project will be completed by January 2025.
On Friday, in reply to the MP’s question, the Union health ministry only replied that the tender for the construction of AIIMS Bibinagar has been awarded in July 2022 but did not specify any timeline of completion.
Section 93 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act required the Central Government to complete certain guarantees within 1O years, and AIIMS Bibinagar was one of them. The Government revealed in the Lok Sabha on July 22, 2022, that out of Rs 1028 crore sanctioned for AIIMS Bibinagar only Rs 29.28 crore has been released so far.
The MP alleged that the Union government has displayed startling inconsistency in providing information about the status of AIIMS Bibinagar. The medical institution is a part of developmental guarantees and has been delayed for a very long time.

Patna: Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas (LJPR) President Chirag Paswan on Thursday claimed that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been losing credibility in a big way in state politics and should step down from the post.
“After losing the Kurhani b-poll, Nitish Kumar is no longer a popular leader of Bihar. The popularity of Nitish Kumar has been declining soon after he went to the Mahagathbandhan. Keeping in view the current position of JD-U, I firmly believe that those parties accepting Nitish Kumar will also lose their strength.
“Nitish Kumar keeps saying that the unity of Mahagathbandhan is stronger but the people of Bihar and leaders are thinking that his credibility has declined. They are not keeping faith in him. A large number of JD-U leaders recently joining the LJPR in poll-bound Nagaland is a prime example of it,” Paswan said.
He also claimed that the crime graph of Bihar is rising with murders, loots, rapes, dacoities taking place in Bihar and Nitish Kumar is not aware of it. “Every time he is being asked about a particular incident, he says he is not aware of it,” he alleged.
“Nitish Kumar, in a shade of liquor ban, is also destroying homeopathic treatment in Bihar and penalising the doctors. The use of spirit is frequent in homeopathy but the administration of Bihar under well planned conspiracy, penalises the homeopathic doctors. In a country like India, a large number of people believe in homeopathic treatment. I also believe in it. The central government is promoting homeopathic and ayurvedic treatment in the country but Nitish Kumar is thinking in another way,” Paswan said.
In the Saran hooch tragedy, that had taken over 100 lives in the first week of January, the mastermind was a homeopathic doctor who used spirit to make the liquor which turned poisonous.
