Telangana: KTR’s first signature in new secretariat to be on 2-BHK houses

Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) revealed that the state Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) minister KT Rama Rao’s first signature in the new secretariat building will be for the underprivileged.

KTR will sign the file containing guidelines for the distribution of 2-BHK houses to one lakh people in the city at the newly-constructed state secretariat which is set to be inaugurated on Sunday.

The 2BHK houses are being constructed under the purview of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

The minister will be operating from this office on the third floor of the new building.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will inaugurate the secretariat on April 30 in a traditional ceremony, state minister Vemula Prashant Reddy said on Saturday.

Reddy said the building will expedite the completion of work and coordinate with the ministers, secretaries and officials.

“The older secretariat had blocks which were 70 years old, a few were 40 years old, and some others, built 20 years ago appear old and unorganised. The ministers, secretaries, and other officials used to sit at different blocks, which made the work a lengthy and challenging affair,” Reddy said.

“A file, which could have been cleared in one day, took four days to be processed. So, the CM decided to build a new Secretariat, which is the first of its kind in the country where the minister, secretaries, and other officials will sit together in one block,” he said, adding that it will help expedite the work.

  • KTR’s sarcastic retort to Amit Shah’s ‘countdown’ attack on BRS

KTR’s sarcastic retort to Amit Shah’s ‘countdown’ attack on BRS

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s (BRS) working president and state IT minister KT Rama Rao on Sunday challenged Union Minister Home Minister Amit Shah to name one Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led-state government that has fared better than Telangana in the last 9 years.

Amit Shah on Sunday addressed a public meeting titled “Vijay Sankalp Sabha” at Chevella town in Rangareddy district. Shah asked people to “dismiss” the BRS government in the upcoming assembly election that is to be held later in the year.

Taking to Twitter KTR thanked Shah for laying the foundation for various infrastructure development projects and educational institutions and sarcastically remarked that it actually did not happen.

“I thank Amit Shah Ji on laying the foundation for ITIR Hyderabad, National Project status for Palamuru – RR lift irrigation project, Hyderabad Metro Phase 2, IIM, IISER, IIIT, IIT, NID, Navodayas, Medical & Nursing Colleges. Oh Wait he did none of that,” said KTR in the tweet.

“It is countdown time for the BRS party because we (BJP) are confident of winning the elections. When we come to power, we will end the corrupt rule of KCR and his family. No one will be spared,” said Amit Shah at the public meeting.

In a seemingly indirect warning message, Shah told KCR to work for the development of the state rather than wasting time pointing guns at Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He charged that policing and administration in Telangana have been completely politicised and welfare measures which are being extended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are not percolating down to the grassroots.

  • Ready to wage legal battle: Telangana BJP chief on KTR’s defamation notice

Ready to wage legal battle: Telangana BJP chief on KTR’s defamation notice

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday announced that he was ready to wage a legal battle on the defamation notices served on him by Telangana IT minister K T Rama Rao in connection with the leakage of Telangana State Public Service Commission question papers.

Reacting to the media reports that KTR had served a legal notice on him threatening to file a defamation case for Rs 100 crore if he did not tender a public apology, Sanjay said he won’t succumb to any such empty threats.

“There is no question of tendering any public apology. I am ready to fight legally for justice,” the BJP president said in a statement.

He demanded that KTR should owe an explanation to the people of Telangana as to how he had amassed such a huge wealth in the last nine years. “Everybody knows before the Telangana movement, KTR was washing utensils in the US. Now, he is worth hundreds of crores. Yet, he is craving for more money in the name of defamation,” he alleged.

Sanjay said if KTR’s reputation and image were worth Rs 100 crore, how much money should be paid to 30 lakh unemployed youths whose future was in jeopardy due to the leakage of question papers because of the misrule of the BRS government.

Describing KTR as a ‘self-styled intellectual’, the BJP president said the chief minister’s son was considering himself as an intellectual par excellence just because he could speak a few English words.

“He is stupid and cannot tolerate somebody questioning his failures and exposing the goofs-up in the government. He is so arrogant that he would use the police force to beat up the protestors who agitated against the government,” he said.

Sanjay lashed out at the BRS working president for using ‘derogatory’ language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi without even bothering to respect the latter’s age and stature.

He wondered why the BRS leaders and ministers were trying to brush aside the leakage of TSPSC question papers as an insignificant issue.

“I am surprised how the issues being probed by the SIT are being leaked to KTR. Initially, he said only two people were involved in the case but now, when more and more names are coming out, he has gone silent. Why haven’t the police filed a criminal case against KTR for trying to influence the probe, but are targeting us when we questioned the wrongdoings?” he asked.

Sanjay reiterated the allegation that as an IT minister, KTR alone would be held responsible for the goofs-up in his departments — right from the issuance of birth and death certificates to the question paper leakage; and from the death of children by falling in sewerage canals to the mauling of children by dogs.

“He should quit his post immediately owning moral responsibility,” the BJP leader said.

Telangana: ‘Won’t say Modi is a broker for Adani’, KTR’s jibe at BJP

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: IT minister KT Rama Rao on Monday said that he will not call Prime Minister Narendra Modi a broker even though the entire country was saying this. He was responding to BJPs comments on chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao being called a ‘broker’.

Speaking at the Atmiya Sammelanam Sabha in Rajanna Sircilla district, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader said, “I can call Prime Minister a broker for Adani.” His comment was followed by huge claps from the public.

KTR waited for the accolades to stop. “But I won’t,” he said after a pause leading to more cheers.

“I can use words like broker, loafer, and luccha. We have the guts to say things that will remind you of your father,” he said followed by a roaring cheer.

He was reacting to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Bandi Sanjay’s broker comments on chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) paper leak issue.

“He (Bandi Sanjay) wrote that TSPSC is the work of KTR. He called the chief minister a broker. Do they think I can’t say that their Prime Minister is a broker to Adani? I can but I won’t because I have cultural values,” said KTR.

Referring to the MLA poaching case, the IT minister said, “BJP’s general secretary B L Santhosh sent fake swamijis to negotiate to buy four BRS MLA. Should we call him a broker and a dalal?”

Telangana: KTR’s remarks against PM Modi due to BRS’ desperation, says BJP

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP’s official spokesperson NV Subhash on Friday said that the ruling BRS, after realising that it is losing the confidence of people, is now resorting to ‘derogatory remarks’ against PM Narendra Modi.

Reacting to KT Rama Rao’s remarks at Bhupalpally, Subhash said that KCR is unable to digest the popularity and people’s support for BJP.

Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) at a public meeting on Thursday in Bhupalpally, alleged that prime minister Narendra Modi was helping Gautam Adani become rich.

“Modi indeed helped Adani get that money,” he said referring to the recent Hindenburg research report row. KTR said that the Prime Minister failed to fulfill his election promise to deposit Rs 15 lakhs in Jan Dhan accounts.

“He is indulging in mud-slinging by using objectionable words against the Modi government,” said the BJP spokesperson.

NV Subhash stated that inspite of the BJP’s challenge for an open debate on the funds from centre to Telangana,’ the BRS ministers are not coming forward.’

He alleged that all the scams happening in the country led to Pragathi Bhavan and members of chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s family and BRS leaders being involved.

He echoed the statement of BJP party chief Bandi Sanjay that the BJP would destroy the tombs if they are voted to power.

Subhash said, “BRS is in power not because of Muslim votes, it is your duty and responsibility to protect our culture and respect sentiments of Hindu voters.”

Telangana: ABVP activists halt KTR’s convoy in Karimnagar, detained

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: ABVP (Akhil Bhartiya Vidya Parishad) students flagged a protest against Telangana IT minister K T Rama Rao on Tuesday at Karimnagar.

KTR visited Karimnagar to inaugurate the Karimnagar circuit guest house built at a cost of 12 crores and the MLA camp office built at a cost of 3 crores in the Karimnagar district.

ABVP students tried to stop KTR’s convoy and demanded to solve the issues that students are facing in the state. The police reached the spot and detained the workers.

A few days back, The Congress student wing NSUI ( National Student’s Union of India) tried to stop the convoy of K T Rama Rao on Saturday at Nizamabad when he visited to inaugurate a few projects.

The students waved the “Black flag” in front of the convoy in order to mark their protest against the government’s action towards neglecting the future of the students in the state.
