The police said that they have arrested the accused who has been identified as Rohit alias Vinod (21), a resident of Paschim Vihar.

According to the police, a case of kidnapping was registered on February 10 based on the statement of a woman, a resident of Rajdhani Park in Nangloi, who said that her 11-year-old daughter did not return home from school on February 9.

“Based on electronic surveillance and a suspected telephone number, the police conducted raids in Punjab and Madhya Pradesh. The accused Rohit was apprehended on Tuesday,” said Harendra K. Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer Delhi).

10 Palestinians killed in Israeli raid In West Bank

    [ad_1]

Ten Palestinians were killed, and dozens were injured by Israeli occupation forces’ bullets, during their raid on the city of Nablus on Wednesday.

The Palestinian health ministry confirmed the death of ten Palestinians and 102 injured, as the Israeli forces shot them during their continuous aggression on the city of Nablus.

According to the ministry, the ten dead were 72-year-old Adnan Sabe’ Baara, 25-year-old Mohammad Khaled Anbousi, 33-year-old Tamer Minawi, 26-year-old Musab Owais, 24-year-old Hossam Isleem, 23-year-old Mohammad Abdulghani, 23-year-old Waleed Dakheel, 61-year-old Abdulhadi Ashqar, 16-year-old Mohammad Farid Shaaban and 23-year-old Jasser Abdelwahab Qan’eer.

Palestinian Red Crescent said that its members dealt with dozens of cases – who were shot – in Nablus, in addition to 250 cases of suffocation.

As per Anadolu Agency reports, large forces of the Israeli army stormed Sheikh Muslim neighborhood on the outskirts of the old city of Nablus, and surrounded a house where terror suspect was hiding out.

The army closed all entrances to the city before besieging a house with two wanted Palestinian fighters, Hossam Islam and Muhammad Abdel-Ghani, who were killed.

Clashes took place between dozens of Palestinians and the Israeli army, in which the latter used metal bullets.

Users of social media platforms widely circulated a video of the defenseless elderly sheikh, who was lying on the ground in the Old City of Nablus, after he was shot dead by the Israeli occupation.

For several months, the occupation army has been pursuing the Palestinian armed group “The Lions’ Den”, which is based in the old city of Nablus.

The Lions’ Den group called on the people to take to the streets and burn the ground under the feet of the occupation, saying, “Shame on everyone who carries a gun and does not take it to the field of honor and manhood.”

The appointment of Ben Gvir to his security position in the Israeli government sparked a lot of criticism on the Arab and international levels, and even inside Israel, due to fears of a significant escalation of tension, especially in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

  • Top Kashmiri Militants Killed In Pakistan, Afghanistan

    [ad_1]

SRINAGAR: In the last few days, two top Kashmiri militants are reported killed in different incidents in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Both of them were designated terrorists by the MHA and were sought by the law in India.

In one incident banned Hizb ul Mujahedeen’s “launching commander” was assassinated in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He was identified as Bashir Ahmad Peer, alias Imtiyaz Alam.

In another assassination Ejaz Ahmad Ahanger, a Kashmir-born insurgent is thought to have been assassinated in southern Afghanistan along with intelligence personnel and members of his family.

Reports appearing in the media suggest that Peer was killed on Monday night outside a store in Rawalpindi by a close-range assailant.

Back home, the MHA under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act declared Peer as a terrorist on October 4, 2022, for his involvement in terrorism-related activities, including facilitating terrorist infiltration into Kupwara.

Peer, originally from the Babarpora neighbourhood in the Kupwara had taken up residence in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. According to reports, Peer was assassinated by militants of rival organisations after disagreements arose between various organisations over a variety of problems, including funding.

The statement issued on the day he was declared a designated terrorist, offers a lot of details about him. “Peer participated in a number of online propaganda groups to bring together ex-militants and other cadres for the expansion of activities of Hizb-Ul-Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Toiba, and other terrorist organisations,” the statement said.

Ejaz Ahmad Ahanger is reported to have been killed last week. The authorities have informed the family that the militant leader “had slept off”.

“The police summoned my older brother to give him the news a few days ago. I do not know whether this is true or not, but I have been crying since then,” Fahmida Shafi, Ahanger’s sister, has told The Print website.

Afghan intelligence has identified Ahanger as the mastermind of the Kasargod-born Muhammad Muhsin suicide bombing in March 2020, which claimed the life of a security guard and 24 worshippers at the Gurdwara Kart-e Parwan in Kabul. Ijas Kallukettiya Purayil, a former dentist from Kasargod in Kerala, was also suspected to have carried out a suicide attack at Jalalabad under the direction of Ahanger.

In addition to his two children, Sabira Ahanger, who was born in 1997, and Tooba Ahanger, who was born in 2001, Ejaz is believed to have left behind his first wife, Rukhsana Ahanger.

A resident of Srinagar, Ahangar was designated a terrorist by the MHA in January 2023. He was an Islamic State member who was earlier jailed in Afghanistan and fled the jail after Kabul fell to the Taliban. The Print report said Ahanger married thrice since 1995.

The MHA notification said Ahanger “is wanted by J&K Police” for his links with Al-Qaida and other global terrorist groups. He is alleged to have been engaged in re-starting the ISIS channels in India, the MHA said in the notification. Besides, he was accused of providing traction to militancy in Kashmir Valley and has initiated an online India-centric ISIS propaganda magazine.

5 people killed, 15 injured in Israeli air strikes on Damascus

    [ad_1]

Damascus: At least 5 people were killed and 15 were injured after Israel launched air strikes on Syria’s capital Damascus’ residential building, SANA, the Syrian news agency reported.

According to the Syrian news agency, the raids occurred on early Sunday when the Israeli jet hit a building in central Damascus’s Kafr Sousa neighbourhood near a large, heavily guarded security complex close to Iranian installations, witnesses said.

After the incident, the quake-affected country’s Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said that Syria expect that United Nations Security Council would condemn the Israeli aggression.

“Syria expects the United Nations Secretariat and Security Council to condemn Israeli aggression and crimes, take the necessary measures to deter them, hold them accountable, punish their perpetrators and ensure they do not recur,” the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said on Sunday.

The Ministry said, in a statement, that at the time when Syria was trying to heal its wounds, bury its martyrs, and receive condolences, sympathy and international humanitarian support in facing the devastating earthquake, the Israeli entity launched an air aggression today targeting the civilian-populated residential neighbourhoods in Damascus, reported SANA.

On February 6, a 7.8 magnitude quake hit Turkey and Syria leading to the death of over 5,800 people. The toll death toll from Turkey and Syria crossed 46,000, Al Jazeera reported.

The ministry added, “The aggression comes in the context of the systematic Israeli attacks against the Syrian civilian targets, including homes, service centres, airports, and ports, intimidating the Syrians who are still suffering from the catastrophic effects left by the earthquake and working to support those affected by it.”

The ministry noted that the hostile action also coincides with the attacks carried out by Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization, claiming the lives of dozens of innocent civilians in the eastern countryside of Homs province.

The ministry stressed that “the continuation of these brutal attacks and crimes against the Palestinian and Syrian people constitutes an explicit threat to peace and security in the region and requires urgent international action to stop the Israeli aggressive actions on Syrian territory, according to SANA.
