Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan-starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan got released today across India. The actor is returning to the silver screen after four years on the festival of Eid with this action drama. The movie is helmed by Farhad Samjhi and it also stars Venkatesh, Pooja Hegde, Bhumika Chawla, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal, Palak Tiwari, Jassie Gill, and Siddharth Nigam among others.

The movie and its director is currently trending on Twitter and a few critics and trade analysts believe that the film’s true mettle will be tested tomorrow as India celebrates the festival of Eid on Saturday. Most of them also predict that the movie will earn around Rs 17 crore on day one while as it on Saturday, we can experience the Salman magic in the theaters.
The film revolves around the man and his three brothers. Bhaijaan (Salman Khan ) has three brothers Moh (Jassie Gill), Ishq (Raghav Juyal) and Love (Siddharth Nigam) and all of Bhaijaan’s brothers are secretly dating girls. Bhaijaan is not married yet, so his brothers along with their girlfriends start finding a partner for Bhaijaan.

Bhaijaan’s brothers find Bhagylaxmi aka Bhagya (Pooja Hegde) and fortunately, she fell in love with Salman Khan in the movie. Watch the movie in the theaters and see what happens next….

Former Pak PM Imran Khan’s Instagram head abducted in Lahore

Lahore: Authorities in Pakistan allegedly abducted the Instagram head of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf here on Thursday as part of the federal government’s ongoing crackdown against social media activists from ousted prime minister Imran Khan’s party.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in collaboration with the intelligence agencies and police have launched a nationwide operation against social media activists, especially of Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party following an alleged online smear campaign against Pakistan Army chief Gen Asim Munir.
Khan on Thursday claimed on Twitter that the party’s Instagram lead Attaur Rehman was “picked up” on Thursday morning from Lahore.

“Another abduction late last night — this time of PTI’s Instagram lead Attaur Rehman from Faisal Town Lahore. Strongly condemn these continuing abductions of our social media team. Atta has been with us for 15 years. The powerful are breaking all laws with impunity,” Khan tweeted and demanded his release.
Last week, the intelligence agencies picked another main social media activist, the PTI — ‘Humara Pak’ head Waqas Amjad — who was allegedly tortured in judicial custody.
Last month, Khan’s focal person on social media Azhar Mashwani was also picked up by authorities.
Khan has blamed the military establishment for “abducting” his party’s social media activists.
He deplored the torture of Amjad, saying, “today there is total law of the jungle in Pakistan.”

“Orders come from a higher authority (establishment)’ that seems above all laws & abductions are done first, then sham FIRs registered,” Khan lamented.
Khan said Pakistan has descended into a “banana republic,” where there is no rule of law and only the law of the jungle.”
Khan, 70, lambasted the PMLN-led coalition government and its handlers in the military for registering over 140 FIRs against him.
“As bail in one FIR is granted, another FIR pops up. I have over 145 FIRs against me. It’s a circus of FIRs. My Bani Gala caretaker, my Zaman Park cook, our social media’s Mashwani, Waqas & my security in-charge Ghumman — all abducted & tortured to try & update their software,” Khan said.
The PTI has written to international forums drawing their attention to the violation of human rights, abductions, torture of political workers and muzzling of dissenting voices by the fascist regime of Shehbaz Sharif with the help of the military establishment.
According to Khan, over 3,000 PTI workers are languishing in different jails in the country without a charge.
Khan, the cricketer-turned-politician, was ousted from power in April last year after losing a no-confidence vote, becoming the first Pakistani prime minister to be voted out by the National Assembly.
Since his ouster, he has been demanding snap polls in the country to remove what he termed an “imported government” led by Prime Minister Sharif.

Irrfan Khan’s last movie ‘The Song of Scorpions’ to hit theatres ahead of his third death anniversary

Mumbai: Legendary actor Irrfan Khan left the world on April 29, 2020, leaving millions of fans mourning. But still, the dream of witnessing his iconic acting once again on the big screen can be possible. The movie ‘Songs of Scorpions’ is set to hit the theatres on April 28 ahead of the actor’s third death anniversary.
Irrfan’s son Babil took to his Instagram on Tuesday in order to share the news with the world. Babil shared a poster and wrote, “Love, deception and a song #TheSongsofScorpionS Trailer Releasing Tomorrow.
The film which also features veteran actress Waheeda Rehman and Golshiteh Farahani in important roles is produced by Zeeshan Ahmad who said, “It is my honour that my name has been associated with this film as a co-producer and one of the presenter of the film. We are glad that Irrfan Khan’s last onscreen appearance in a film is soon going to be released in cinemas across the country and his fans will get to see him one last time on the big screen. Trust me, Irrfan’s character and performance in the film is going to leave you spellbound.”

The plot of the story is all about a tribal woman Nooran who is carefree and defiantly independent and is learning the ancient art of healing from her grandmother, a revered scorpion singer. When Aadam, a camel trader in the Rajasthan desert, listens to her sing, he falls completely in love. But even before they can get to know each other better, Nooran is poisoned by a brutal perfidy that sets her on a vulnerable journey to avenge herself and find her song.
‘The Song of Scorpions’ premiered at Switzerland’s Locarno Film Festival. The film is directed by Anup Singh. The trailer will be released on April 19.

Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan does not shy away from experimenting with roles. He began his tinsel-town journey with Deewana in 1992 and went on to portray a gamut of characters. He even tried his hand at playing a dual role in films and ‘Fan’ is one of them.
Helmed by Maneesh Sharma, ‘Fan’ came out in theatres in 2016.
The film did not work at the box office but the audience and critics laud the actor for bringing something different to the table.

SRK plays two roles in Fan, one enabled by the use of makeup and CGI. The story follows Gaurav (Shah Rukh), a young man whose world revolves around the mega movie star Aryan Khanna (also Shah Rukh) or God as he refers to him. From Delhi, young Gaurav embarks on a journey to the city of dreams, Mumbai, in order to wish his God a happy birthday. On Tuesday, Kareena once again dropped an adorable picture of her elder son Taimur with his Ibrahim on Instagram.

The image shows Ibrahim and Taimur posing with their shirts pulled up and copying each other’s pose.
Ibrahim can be seen in a white t-shirt, while Taimur looks cute in a yellow t-shirt. Sharing the image, she wrote, “Was Siblings day yesterday or today… OR… is it everyday? Iggy (nick name of Ibrahim) and TimTim.”

Allahabad HC reserves verdict on Abdullah Azam Khan’s plea seeking stay on conviction

Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday reserved its verdict on a plea filed by Mohammad Abdullah Azam Khan seeking a stay on his conviction by a Moradabad court in a 2008 criminal case.
Justice Rajiv Gupta reserved the order after hearing the counsel for Abdullah Azam Khan and state government’s counsel.
During the hearing, the counsel for the applicant submitted that on the date of the incident the applicant was a juvenile, as such his conviction be stayed by this court.

A criminal case was registered in 2008 against Abdullah Azam Khan and his father and Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan at Chhajlet police station in Moradabad under sections 341 (wrongful restraint) and 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
It is alleged that they had blocked traffic after their vehicle was stopped by the police for checking in Moradabad.
The additional chief judicial magistrate (ACJM) on February 13, 2023 sentenced Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam Khan to two years of imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 each.
Later, they were granted bail after submitting the required surety.
Two days after the conviction and sentence, Abdullah Azam Khan, an SP MLA, was disqualified from the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He represented the Suar assembly constituency of Rampur.

Salman Khan’s song shot on Chiranjeevi’s land in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Indian film industry is no stranger to extravagant sets and filming locations. Filmmakers go to great lengths to create visually stunning films, from sprawling outdoor locations to massive indoor sets. The massive temple set erected for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Acharya’ film in Hyderabad’s outskirts has sparked the interest of many.
The set, which was reportedly built on Chiranjeevi’s own land in the Kokapet area, cost around Rs. 25 crores and was built by art producer Suresh Selvarajan. However, what many may not know is that the same set was modified into a village set for Bollywood star Salman Khan’s upcoming film, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’.
According to sources, Salman Khan and the film’s main crew were in Hyderabad in the first week of June last year to begin shooting for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan on the same set. Farhad Samji directed the film, which also stars Venkatesh in a key role, with Pooja Hegde playing the female lead.

The artificial mini-temple town of Dharmasthali, which was a special attraction of the Acharya set itself, is one of the most unique aspects of the film set. The grand temple structure was built within the set’s premises, adding grandeur and authenticity to the film’s setting.
Interestingly, the latest song from ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,’ ‘Yentamma,’ was shot on the same set. The song includes a special appearance by Ram Charan, making it even more entertaining and engaging for film fans.
