KCR’s call to Maharashtra farmers: Abki baar kisan sarkar

Aurangabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday asked farmers to ensure a farmers government in their state, and called for emulating the ‘Telangana model’ of governance.

“Abki baar kisan sarkar,” said Rao, addressing his BRS party’s third public rally in Maharashtra.

He asked farmers to elect BRS in zilla parishad elections. “We want to have the Telangana model of administration in Maharashtra,” he added.

    MS Education Academy

Farmers are ending their lives, he said. It is unfortunate that farmers had to agitate in the national capital for 13 months, after which PM Modi apologized to them and gave an assurance, but nothing has happened, Rao said.

“We need out of box thinking to change India. BRS is not for any class or religion but for all people,” he said.

“We don’t have to be afraid of anything. If there is sincerity we will win. That is why BRS is here,” he said, adding the party is building a permanent office in Maharashtra.

Rao said political will was needed to resolve water and electricity supply woes facing the country.

More than double the amount of water needed is available, yet there is water scarcity, he said. “Rulers, PM, CMs lack the will,” he added.

India’s water supply planning should emulate Zimbabwe which has huge water reservoirs to cater to that country’s needs, Rao said.

This scarcity will continue till there is new structure and a new Act on water distribution, he said.

“The water the rich drink in posh Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills in Hyderabad is the same water the poor in Adilabad drink,” Rao said.

He asked why can’t Maharashtra have an insurance scheme for farmers on the lines of Telangana. “If a farmer dies in Telangana, the nominee gets Rs five lakh in 8 days,” he said.

Rao asked farmers to become MLAs and MPs, instead of just being used by leaders.

KCR’s special strategy for Goshamahal, Huzurabad, Dubbak assembly constituencies

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister and BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao is gearing up for a hat-trick in Telangana and is planning to win the BJP’s all three assembly constituencies.

According to sources, KCR has decided to set a target of winning 100 seats for the assembly elections and preparing the election strategy. In view of the tense situation at the national and state level from the BJP, KCR has started planning to capture all three existing seats of the BJP in the Telangana Assembly so that the state can become free from the BJP’s influence.

Sources said KCR has focussed on Goshamahal, Huzurabad, and Dubbak assembly constituencies represented by Raja Singh, Eatala Rajender, and Raghunandan Rao. In the by-elections, the BJP wrested Dubbak and Huzurabad seats from the BRS, while Raja Singh won in Goshamahal. KCR wants the pink flag to be hoisted on the three assembly segments somehow. Separate teams are being formed for the three assembly constituencies. KCR says the main objective is to deprive the BJP of representation in the state assembly.

    MS Education Academy

Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh who is known for his hate speeches was suspended from BJP for blasphemy and has not been reinstated till date.

Police had sent Raja Singh to jail under the PD Act but the court granted him conditional bail. To focus on Goshamahal, KCR has appointed Nand Kishore Vyas as in-charge who is likely to contest the upcoming assembly elections on a BRS ticket. In 2018, Prem Singh Rathore was the BRS candidate who got 44,000 votes.

In Huzurabad, MLC P Kaushik Reddy has been instructed to be ready for the contest to defeat Eatala Rajender. After being expelled from the BRS, E. Rajendra joined the BJP and won the by-election. It is said that Kaushik Reddy will be fielded against him.

Medak MP K Prabhakar Reddy is likely to contest against Raghunandan Rao in Dubbak. The chief minister has directed Prabhakar Reddy to focus on Dubbak. It remains to be seen to what extent KCR, who dreams of a hat-trick of power in Telangana, will be able to capture all three BJP seats.

KCR’s absence during PM Modi’s Hyderabad visit is a shame: BJP

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party state president and parliament member Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday said the absence of chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana is shameful.

PM Modi was in Hyderabad to flag off the Vande Bharat Express train, inaugurate the doubling and electrification of the Secunderabad – Mahabubnagar project and lay the foundation stones of the National Highway projects and AIIMS Bibinagar.

Speaking to the media at Parade Grounds, Bandi said, “The chief minister seems very busy. The prime minister comes to the state to launch development projects worth Rs 11,360 crore and the CM refused to show his face. KCR is an inhibitor of development.”

    MS Education Academy

Bandi informed that he had personally requested the CM to attend the launch of the development projects and had reserved a seat for KCR. “I also brought a shawl to felicitate the CM. But why didn’t he come? What matters are more important than the PM coming to the state?” he said.

He demanded an answer from KCR as to why he did not turn up even though the PM, Governor and union ministers attended the meeting. He also demanded that the chief minister apologises to the people of Telangana for this.

The prime minister made it clear that politics are only limited to the elections after which the priority should be developmental works. A large amount of money is being spent on Telangana irrespective of politics.

“People of Telangana came to the Parade Grounds to witness the launch of development works, many are watching this on TV and they are also observing the absence of KTR. At the right time, they will teach KCR a lesson,” said the BJP president.

On April Fools’ Day, Bandi Sanjay mocks KCR’s unemployment allowance promise

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: On April Fools’ Day, Bandi Sanjay, the Telangana BJP president, took a dig at Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s unemployment allowance promise. Sanjay shared KCR’s photograph and sarcastically wrote, “Unemployed youth will be given ₹3016 allowance – CM KCR. If you believed that, Happy April Fools Day!”

This statement comes at a time when the BJP is leaving no stone unturned to target KCR ahead of the upcoming assembly polls in Telangana.

    Telangana unemployment allowance

The unemployment allowance scheme was promised by KCR during the 2018 assembly polls when he sought a second term for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).

The scheme aims to provide Rs 3,016 per month to unemployed youths across the state.

BJP aims to win maximum seats in Assembly polls in Telangana

The BJP is leaving no stone unturned to win a maximum number of seats in the upcoming assembly polls in Telangana.

In the last assembly polls in 2018, the TRS won a resounding mandate, winning 88 out of 119 seats, while the Congress had to settle for just 19. The BJP could only manage to win a single seat.

However, their hopes increased after their performance in the GHMC elections.

The BJP’s constant targeting of KCR’s promises, including the unemployment allowance scheme, seems to be a part of their strategy to gain more votes in the upcoming polls.

‘Shameful to say KCR’s assistance to farmers will be helpful’, says Bandi Sanjay

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Accusing the chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao of being indifferent to crop damage, Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday slammed him for offering only Rs 10,000 per acre as compensation to farmers.

Bandi Sanjay held that the CM should report to the Centre about the crop damage instead of blaming it.

KCR, on the other hand, criticised the BJP-led Central government for showing little concern for farmers and waging political wars while he was conducting an aerial survey of the four rain-affected districts of the state on Thursday to aid financial assistance to farmers whose crops were damaged by unseasonal rains and hailstorms last week.

Puzzled over no visit paid by agriculture or revenue officials to the damaged site, Bandi Sanjay questioned the assessment of crop damage only in 2.22 lakh acres of land and not anywhere else.

The BJP chief further claimed that if the Centre’s ‘Fasal Bima Yojana’ had been implemented in the state then farmers would have received compensation for crop loss.

“However, the CM did not implement the scheme in Telangana for fear of Centre getting the credit,” asserted Bandi Sanjay.

“The amount offered by CM is insufficient. It will not even cover their investment costs. It’s a shame to say that financial assistance would be extremely beneficial,” Sanjay said in a statement.

Bandi Sanjay further said, “It was only because of BJP’s continuous campaigns that KCR was forced to step out of Pragathi Bhavan and his farmhouse to visit fields.”

Hyderabad: ABVP protests near KCR’s residence over paper leak

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at Pragati Bhavan, the official residence of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here on Tuesday as ABVP markers tried to lay siege to the complex to protest over Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) question paper leak.

Carrying ABVP flags and raising slogans, the protesters including women tried to move closer to the complex but were stopped by police.

There was heated argument between ABVP leaders and police personnel. As the ABVP workers continued their protest, police arrested them and shifted them to Goshamahal police station.

ABVP had last week staged a protest at TSPSC office which had turned violent. The protesters had barged into office premises and damaged the board.

Police then arrested some ABVP men who were later remanded to judicial custody.

Police had stepped up security around Pragati Bhavan in view of the planned protest by ABVP. However, some protesters took police by surprise and managed to reach near the high security premises.

The ABVP leaders demanded resignation of Information Technology minister K. T. Rama Rao over paper leak. They also demanded judicial probe into the case.

Hyderabad police last week arrested nine persons, including two employees of TSPSC, in connection with the paper leak case.

The TSPSC had conducted the examination on March 5 for 833 vacancies of Assistant Engineer, Municipal Assistant Engineer, Technical Officer, and Junior Technical Officer in various engineering departments. A total of 55,000 candidates had written the exam.

However, the Commission suspected leakage of the question paper and lodged a complaint with the police.

Following the arrest of the accused the Commission cancelled the exam and also postponed other exams scheduled to be held later this month.

Amid doubts that the accused may have leaked question papers of some other exams, the Commission on Friday decided to cancel three other exams including Group I Prelims.

Nearly 2.86 lakh aspirants of Group I posts had appeared in Group-I exam conducted on October 16, 2022.

  • KCR’s letter to BRS cadre emotional blackmail: Telangana BJP chief

KCR’s letter to BRS cadre emotional blackmail: Telangana BJP chief

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Monday called Telangana chief minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) supremo K Chandrashekar Rao’s letter to his party cadre “emotional blackmail of party workers”.

Bandi Sanjay said that the people of Telangana have “learnt that the KTR family members are behind many scandals like the Kaleshwaram scam, the death of intermediate students, the IT scam Dharani scam, and the real estate mafia”. He released his version of a letter after KCR wrote one to BRS party workers calling for support

“Scared that all of these scams are going to be revealed soon, KCR wrote the letter emotionally blackmailing his own party workers from turning against his family. This is a conspiracy to incite the opposition,” the BJP Telangana chief alleged.

“The letter is an example of the loss of people, party leaders and workers’ trust in the leadership of the BRS party and the Kalvakuntla family. A big conspiracy is hidden behind this move of KCR, who never cares about the activists, writing a letter today,” said Bandi Sanjay in his reply.

The BJP leader alleged that KCR directs police “to wave batons and beat up people” who come to Pragati Bhavan to raise their issues. He said that the chief minister has confined himself to the farmhouse and continued to rule.

Bandi Sanjay continued, “KCR has written this letter to incite the emotions of the party activist to prevent the discussion of his family’s corruption, as his ‘paper leak’ son, and ‘liquor scam’ daughter are drowning in many scams. KCR has a history of throwing out activists and leaders who questioned his selfish usage of Telangana. God knows what happened to the common people in 9 years”.

The BJP president called on people to support the BJP for the realisation of the aspirations of the Telangana movement. “If BJP comes to power we will announce a job calendar like the UPSC every year. We will build houses for the poor, and provide loss compensation to the farmers who lost crops. We will provide free education and healthcare,” added the BJP chief.

  • Liquor policy case: Kavitha to appear before ED today, BRS workers gather outside KCR’s residence

Liquor policy case: Kavitha to appear before ED today, BRS workers gather outside KCR’s residence

    [ad_1]

Delhi: As Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC and Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s daughter K Kavitha, is scheduled to appear before the Enforcement Directorate today for questioning in connection to the Delhi liquor policy case, the party workers and supporters have gathered outside the residence of KCR in the national capital.

Earlier on Friday, Kavitha launched a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in the national capital demanding the introduction of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the current Budget session of Parliament.

Citing her hunger strike scheduled in Delhi on Friday, she asked the probe agency to postpone her questioning till Saturday.

Notably, former Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia has been arrested by ED in the same case.

She had arrived in the national capital on March 8, hours after the ED issued a summons for questioning.
BRS leader KT Rama Rao on Friday also arrived at the residence of his father in the national capital.

According to sources, Kavitha will be made to sit face-to-face with Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramchandra Pillai, who was arrested in connection with the liquor policy case on Monday night.

The MLC termed the summons as “tactics of intimidation” by the Centre against the Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the BRS, adding that the party will continue to fight and expose the Centre’s failures and will raise its voice for a brighter and better future for India.

“I would also like the ruling party at the Centre to know that these tactics of intimidation against the fight and voice of our leader, CM KCR, and against the entire BRS party will not deter us. Under the leadership of KCR Garu, we will continue to fight to expose your failures and raise voice for a brighter and better future for India,” Kavitha said in a tweet.

On March 8, the BRS came down heavily on the Centre after the ED summoned Kavitha in connection with its ongoing probe in the Delhi excise policy case, saying that the central probe agencies have become an extended arm of the BJP.

Referring to the summons as “politically motivated”, BRS leader Ravula Sridhar Reddy had said that except ED and BJP, nobody really understands the case registered in connection with the new-withdrawn new Delhi excise policy.

In its investigation, ED has come to know that Pillai is one of the key persons in the entire scam involving payments of huge kickbacks and the formation of the biggest cartel of the South Group.

South Group comprises Telangana MLC Kavitha, Sarath Reddy (promoter of Aurobindo Group), Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy (MP, Ongole), his son Raghav Magunta, and others. The South Group was being represented by Pillai, Abhishek Boinpalli and Butchi Babu, the federal agency investigation has revealed.

Pillai along with his associates was coordinating with various persons to execute the political understanding between the South Group and a leader of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Pillai has been an accomplice and was involved in the kickbacks from the South Group and the recoupment of the same from the businesses in Delhi, ED investigation reveals.

The ED had earlier said that the South Group gave kickbacks of Rs 100 crore to AAP leaders.

Pillai is learnt to be a partner of 32.5 per cent in Indo Spirits, which had got an L1 licence. Indo Spirits is a partnership firm of Arun Pillai (32.5 per cent), Prem Rahul (32.5 per cent) and Indospirit Distribution Limited (35 per cent), wherein Arun Pillai and Prem Rahul represented the benami investments of Kavitha and Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy and his son Raghava Magunta.

Kavitha, who is a member of the Telangana Legislative Council, was questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the same case in December last year.

The excise policy was passed in Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi Cabinet in the middle of the deadly Delta Covid-19 pandemic in 2021.

The Delhi government’s version is that the policy was formulated to ensure the generation of optimum revenue, eradicate the sale of spurious liquor or non-duty paid liquor in Delhi, besides improving user experience.

The CBI had filed a case against alleged corruption in the 2021-22 excise policy. The excise policy was subsequently withdrawn by the AAP government.

Sisodia was among 15 others booked in an FIR filed by the CBI. Excise officials, liquor company executives, dealers, some unknown public servants and private persons were booked in the case.

It was alleged that irregularities were committed including modifications in the Excise Policy and undue favours were extended to the license holders including waiver or reduction in licence fee, an extension of L-1 license without approval etc. (

  • Only KCR’s family got employment in Telangana: Chhatisgarh CM Baghel

Only KCR’s family got employment in Telangana: Chhatisgarh CM Baghel

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Congress implements programmes to empower the poor in contrast to the BJP’s ‘Gujarat model’ benefitting crony capitalists and the BRS model of ‘family rule’ in Telangana, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Thursday.

Addressing a public meeting at Karimnagar in Telangana organised as part of ‘Haath se Haath Jodo’ padayatra undertaken by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and party MP A Revanth Reddy, Baghel alleged that both the Telangana government and the BJP-led Centre were indulging in “loot”.

While employment was supposed to have been provided to the unemployed youth in the state, several family members of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao have got posts in the government after BRS came to power in the state, he said.

Addressing the gathering, he said: “You (people) asked for Telangana (statehood) and you got Telangana. But did farmers get price (for their produce). Did youth get jobs? Has unemployment gone?”

“Only one family got out of unemployment — of KCR (as the Telangana Chief Minister is known as). Who is K T Rama Rao (KCR’s son), he also got employment. Who is Harish Rao (KCR’s nephew)? He also got employment. And who is Kavitha ji (KCR’s daughter). It means only one family has got employment and he gave all jobs to his family,” Baghel said ridiculing the Chief Minister’s family.

Referring to party leader Rahul Gandhi’s accusation against Prime Minister Narendra Modi benefitting a “few friends” at the cost of people of the country, Baghel described it as the ‘Gujarat model’.

The ‘Telangana model’ benefits only one family, he alleged.

Modi, after coming to power in 2014, had said Gujarat model will be implemented in the country, Baghel said.

“Did you benefit from Gujarat model? No. You have also seen BRS model which gave employment to one family. But Congress always strengthens common people,” he claimed adding on the other hand, the Congress always works for empowering the poor.

He cited the examples of the previous UPA government at the Centre providing the right to education, right to food, right to work, and right to information.

Baghel spoke on the ‘Chhattisgarh model’ of waiving farmers’ loan soon after Congress assumed power in that state and also highlighted the several schemes launched there, including for farmers.

His government has announced unemployment allowance in the recent budget, he said.

Congress alone can fulfill the objectives for which Telangana was formed and the people should support the party in the next assembly elections, he said.

Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ led by Rahul Gandhi gave a ‘booster dose’ to the party.

Now, there is a need for a third yatra, after ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and ‘Haath se Haath Jodo’ yatra, with the message of ‘KCR Harao, Telangana Bachao’ (Defeat KCR and Save Telangana) yatra in the state, he said.

If Telangana has to be saved, then KCR has to be defeated, Ramesh added.

In the last nine years, Telangana has been witness to politics of betrayal, corruption and dictatorship, he alleged.

Describing KCR as the ‘eighth Nizam’, Ramesh alleged there is no difference between BJP and the BRS.

Senior Congress leader and in-charge of Congress affairs in Telangana Manikrao Thakre, party MP Uttam Kumar Reddy were among those who spoke at the meeting.
