Priyanka Chopra hugs Karan Johar at NMACC event amid tiff rumours

Mumbai: It’s Bollywood and anything can happen here! Days, after Priyanka Chopra opened up about her experience of having ‘beef with people’ which eventually led to her exit from Bollywood, the ‘Fashion’ actor, was seen greeting and hugging Karan Johar at the grand opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai.
Several videos posted by the paps surfaced online where Priyanka was seen hugging Karan Johar. They even talked for a few minutes and shared laughs as well. Though Priyanka did not take anyone’s name in particular, it was Kangana Ranaut who mentioned Karan Johar in her tweet, who “made Priyanka leave India.”
In the video, Priyanka and Nick were talking to Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Later Karan Johar joined them. Priyanka looked ravishing in a beige sheer gown with a cape. She was one of those celebs at the event, whose style statement became the talking point.
A few days before, during a conversation with Dax Shepherd on his podcast ‘Armchair Expert’, Priyanka Chopra revealed why she started looking for work in the US, saying, “I was being pushed into a corner in the industry. I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, and I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break. This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave the movies I didn’t want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require grovelling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it.”
Reacting to her confession, Kangana posted on Twitter, “Media wrote extensively about her fall out with Karan Johar because of her friendship with SRK and movie mafia Cruella who is always looking for vulnerable outsiders saw a perfect punching bag in PC and went all out in harassing her to a point where she had to leave India.”
Apart from Deepika-Ranveer, Priyanka-Nick, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt and many more celebs and prominent names from glamour, sports and the world of politics attended the NMACC event on Friday.

Rani Mukherjee touches feet of Karan Johar at ‘Mrs. Chatterjee v/s Norway’ event

Mumbai: The makers of Rani Mukherjee’s upcoming emotional drama ‘Mrs Chatterjee v/s Norway’ hosted a press meet on Friday, which turned out to be an eventful one.
Karan Johar, a dear friend of Rani, joined the discussion with the lead actor and the team. Rani touched Karan’s feet which won the hearts of millions. Reacting to Rani’s gesture, Karan said, “Our relationship is unique. When I was young, she used to be my sister, then she became ‘bhabhi’ (sister-in-law). Taking a cue from Karan’s words, Rani said, “But won’t become your mother any day.” The videos of funny banter between two besties are doing the rounds on the internet.
Rani was draped in a white saree with a black border. She sported a black bindi with minimum accessories. Karan wore a black jacket and baggy pants.
The event was attended by Sagarika Bhattacharya, on whom, Rani’s character in the movie is modelled. The ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ actor got emotional after meeting Sagarika. Videos and photos of the moment were shared by the paparazzi and the fan pages.
In the event, Rani also spoke about her husband Aditya Chopra’s reaction to ‘Mrs. Chatterjee v/s Norway.” Addressing the media Rani said, “Adi was shocked seeing the film. He was deeply moved and I don’t think I have seen him so moved in any film. Last he was so moved is when Yash’s uncle passed away. He is a parent today, so it hit him. He was very sweet and gave me a side hug as if I were his child. He said well done and I said, thank you. It was a moment because Adi praises me behind my back. I think he could not stop himself and he was moved by the film.”
Directed by Ashima Chibber and produced by Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment, the movie stars Neena Gupta, Jim Sarbh and Anirban Bhattacharya in pivotal roles.

Restore Statehood Without Any Delay: Karan Singh

SRINAGAR: Senior Congress leader and former Sadar-e-Riyasat of erstwhile J&K State, Dr. Karan Singh has said that there is a lack of communication between public and bureaucrats in the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir.
He stated that assembly elections should be held in J&K in a free and fair manner and Statehood should be restored to the UT without any delay.
When asked to comment on the bifurcation of J&K State into two Union Territories, he said, “We should look ahead rather than looking back and added that same remained his principle in life.”
Replying to a question of taking back the regions of J&K occupied by Pakistan, he said that it was not easy as the same could not be materialized without a war which only brings deaths and destruction.
Singh said that forceful religious conversions are not good things be these happen in India or in Pakistan. He was speaking in a session on Vedanta organized by FICCI FLO J&K wherein he educated a gathering on Gyan Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Karam Yoga, Raj Yoga and also touched Hath Yoga.

Karan Johar Shifts His Song’s Shooting From Switzerland To Kashmir

SRINAGAR: After a hiatus of seven years, film maker Karan Johar is all set to shoot the last pending romantic song of his movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, in the snow clad mountains of Kashmir.
Directed by Karan Johar, the epic love story stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.
As per the latest buzz, the song will be a tribute to the late film maker Yash Chopra, who Karan idolizes. Ranveer and Alia will recreate the looks of Sridevi and Rishi Kappor from the film Chandini directed by ace director Yash Chopra in late 1980’s. Alia will be seen donning chiffon sarees while Ranveer for a change will be in the formal attire.
The romantic song will be shot in Kashmir in a ten-day schedule beginning on March 1. The crew has already left for Kashmir while Karan will leave for the valley with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt on February 28 and join the crew.
Karan Johar wanted to film the song in Switzerland but after Alia Bhatt’s pregnancy he moved it to Kashmir as the film maker believes that snow has same feel in Kashmir as it has in Switzerland.
Alia will be accompanied by her baby Raha for the ten-day shooting schedule.
With this song in Kashmir, the entire shooting of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, a tribute to Karan’s favourite director Yash Chopra, will be complete.

Karan Kundrra dresses as ‘groom’, sparks marriage rumours

Mumbai: Fans of telly couple Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash are eagerly waiting for the lovebirds to get hitched soon. Their wedding rumours crawled back on the internet after Kundrra recently said that ‘he is ready to get married in March’. His statement sparked a lot of discussions among TejRan fans.
And now, Karan Kundrra’s latest photoshoot with a wedding magazine has only added more fuel to the speculations. Taking to Instagram, the former Bigg Boss contestant posted pictures from his photoshoot where he is seen donning an off-white sherwani. TejRan fans flooded the comments section and expressed their wish to see Kundra dressed as a groom in real life too and many requested him to get married soon.
Moments after the pictures were shared, fans showered love on their favourite actor. One of the users commented, “Hottest Dulha in the world kahi march wedding ki preparation toh nhi horahi.”

It is relevant to mention here that the actor has recently admitted that he is ready to marry his ladylove in March this year. Karan Kundra during an interview with Radio City said, ”Mei toh March me karne ko tayaar hu (I am ready to marry in March this year too).”
He further added, “Uske baad inhone jaake Naagin sign kar liya. Inka Naagin khatam hone ko nahi aara hai. Itna successful season dene ki kya zaroorat thi. (After that she signed Naagin 6. It is not ending because of its success).”
It seems that Karan is ready to get married in March but due to his ladylove’s busy schedule, it may happen a little later.

Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor Khan dropped an adorable picture to wish filmmaker Karan Johar’s twins Roohi and Yash on their birthday.
Taking to Instagram Story, Kareena shared a picture featuring Taimur Ali Khan hugging Yash.
Sharing the picture, she wrote, “Birthday mood is.”
Extending the birthday wishes to Karan’s twins, actor Neha Dhupia dropped a picture with her husband Angad Bedi, Yash and Roohi.
Along with a picture, she wrote, ” Happy birthday yashoo and roohhii … we love you … may your hearts always be filled with love in abundance. celebrating you and our cuties everyday.”
She also shared a video from the birthday celebration which took place earlier.

In the video, Karan shared some glimpses from Roohi and Yash’s recent birthday bash.
On February 1 this year, Karan hosted a birthday party for his twins, Roohi and Yash, in Mumbai. In which many B-town celebs marked their presence. From Kareena Kapoor Khan to Shahid Kapoor and Mira Kapoor, celebs attended the bash with their little ones.
Karan welcomed his son Yash and daughter Roohi via surrogacy in February 2017. He named Yash after his deceased father late Yash Johar, while Roohi is an anagram of his mother’s name Hiroo.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena will be next seen in director Sujoy Ghosh’s thriller which is based on the book ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’. It also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. Apart from that, she also has director Hansal Mehta’s next untitled film.

Mumbai: In a heartwarming display of respect for religion, actor Karan Kundrra recently stopped his speech to listen to the call to prayer or Azaan during the promotional event of his most-anticipated upcoming show Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal. Sharing the video on his Instagram, Karan Kundrra’s fan page wrote, ”Being respectful towards other religions is a quality of a good human being.”
In the video that is going crazy viral on social media, Karan Kundrra is seen saying, ”Should we just pause for two minutes”. He explains that the reason for this is because the call to prayer, or Azaan, was being recited. After the Azaan concluded, Karan resumed his speech. After he finished his speech, someone in the audience thanked Karan for pausing his speech after hearing Azaan.

Karan Adani, Anant Ambani among members of Maha economic advisory panel

Mumbai: Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekharan will head the Maharashtra state Economic Advisory Council (EAC) which also includes Karan Adani and Anant Ambani, a government resolution said on Monday.
Karan Adani, the CEO of Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd, is the son of Gautam Adani, who is battling allegations of stock manipulation and fraud in Adani Group raised by Hindenburg Research. The Adani Group has denied the allegations, which created a political firestorm and eroded his networth.
The Adani junior has been named as the expert on the ports and SEZ sector in the 21-member body.
“An Economic Advisory Council as an Independent Body to advise the state government on economic and other related issues ,” the government resolution said.
The council has domain experts from fields including textiles, pharma, ports, special economic zone, banking, agriculture, industries, engineering, and manufacturing.
