Mumbai: Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is keen on working opposite actress Kriti Sanon.
During the promotions of his recent film, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’, Ranbir Kapoor was questioned about which actor and actress he would like to work with next.
To this, the actor mentioned Kriti’s name as one actress he really wants to work with.
‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ is directed by Luv Ranjan. It stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in their first film together, with Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor in pivotal supporting roles.
The film was shot extensively in Delhi, Mumbai, Spain and Mauritius.
On the work front, Kriti is gearing up for two mega releases — ‘Adipurush’ opposite Prabhas and ‘Ganapath’ opposite Tiger Shroff. She also has ‘The Crew’ and an untitled film with Shahid Kapoor in the pipeline.
Mumbai: Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor treated her fans with her first look from her upcoming film tentatively titled ‘NTR 30’ on her birthday on Monday. The actress took to her Instagram to share the first look of her character.
In the picture, Janhvi can be seen wearing a saree and sitting against the backdrop of mountains securing a river. Going by the look of the poster, the film seems to be quite dark in its treatment. She will be working opposite Jr. NTR in the film.
The actress wrote in the caption: “It is finally happening. Can’t wait to set sail with my favourite @jrntr #NTR30.”
The film, which marks the Telugu debut of Janhvi, is touted to be an action-packed entertainer and will be directed by Koratala Siva, who is known for directing films such as ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ and ‘Okkadunnadu’.
The music will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander and it will be a pan-India release. The film is set to be released on April 5, 2024, and will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
The film will be Jr. NTR’s 30th film. The actor is currently gearing up for the Oscars as his film ‘RRR’ continues to be a global rage.
New Delhi: Actor Ranbir Kapoor has cleared the air on rumours of him headlining former cricketer Sourav Ganguly’s biopic.
At a promotional event for his upcoming rom-com ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’, Ranbir was asked by the media if he is doing a biopic on Sourav Ganguly.
Responding to this question, Ranbir said, “I think dada (Sourav Ganguly) is a living legend not just in India, around the world. A biopic on him will be very special. Unfortunately, mujhe yeh film offer nahi huyi hai (I have not been offered this film). I think the makers of Luv films are still writing the script.”
However, he confirmed that he is working on the biopic of late singer-actor Kishore Kumar.
“Main 11 saal se Kishore Kumar ke biopic pe kaam kar raha hoon (I have been working on Kishore Kumar’s biopic for 11 years). We have been writing that with Anurag Basu and I’m hoping that it’s gonna be my next biopic. But maine abhi tak dada k upar jo biopic ban rahi hai uske baare mein kuch suna nahi hai (But so far I haven’t heard anything about the biopic being made on dada). So, I don’t know,” Ranbir added.
Earlier on Sunday, Ranbir was spotted playing cricket with Sourav Ganguly at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.
Several pictures of the duo on the field emerged online.
Ranbir sported a black T-shirt and pants while Sourav wore a white T-shirt and trousers. The words ‘Ranbir’s Makkar XI’ was written on the actor’s T-shirt while Sourav’s T-shirt had ‘Dada’s Jhooti XI’ written on it.
Ranbir’s ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ is scheduled to hit the theatres on March 8.

He said, “She came to my house with Neeta Lulla and said she wanted to work with me… I told her that I hadn’t seen her work and that before casting her, I needed to see what she was capable of. We fixed up a photo shoot with the right costumes. Since Babitaji and Karisma Kapoor were also at the shoot, I made it clear to all of them that the shoot wasn’t a confirmation that I would cast Kareena. They were okay with that at the time. After going through the photographs, I told Kareena that I felt Aishwarya Rai was fabulous and perfect for Paro; she has the aristocratic looks I required.” cited Koimoi.com.
“Kareena didn’t say a word then but some days later I found her lashing out at me in print. She accused me of backing out after having given her the signing amount and contract,” he further said.

Mumbai: A day prior to the death anniversary of Sridevi, her husband and Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor has shared the last picture of the actress on Thursday.
In the picture, Sridevi can be seen posing along with Boney, daughter Khushi and other relatives.
While Sridevi donned a pastel green and gold ethnic ensemble, her daughter Khushi sported a pastel peach lehenga. The producer wrote on the picture, “Last picture”.

The actor who is known for romantic and comedy roles will be back in his original avatar after Sanju, Shamshera and Brahmastra. Ranbir enjoys a unique fan following and the trailer of his TJMM seemed like the actor is back with what he is best at. The actor who usually remains out of controversies and keeps himself away from social media is hitting the headlines now.
During one of his promotional event recently, the Saawariya actor gave a witty reply to a journalist who asked him about the bad phase of Bollywood at the box office.
In a video which surfaced online, the journalist asked the actor, “Ranbir Bollywood ka abhi thora dicey chal raha hai…(Bollywood is currently in a dicey phase).” Interrupting her, Ranbir answered, “Kya baat kar rahi hai? Pathaan ki collection dekhi nahi tune? (What are you saying? Have you not seen the box office collection of Pathaan?)”
Ranbir further asked reporter, “Pehle, aap kaunsi publication se ho (Which media publication you are from?)” After she replied, the actor mockingly told her, ”BBC News”. He the went asking her, ”Abhi toh aapke bhi kuch chal raha hai na aaj kal…uska kya? Pehle woh jawab do (I think something is going on with your company these days. What about that, you tell me first).”
RK’s words left everyone in the room in splits and even some fans praised him for witty replies like Shah Rukh Khan. One of the users commented, “Bhai savage.” Someone else also said, “Epic especially the last one when he questioned the reporter.”

Talking about Ranbir Kapoor, his movie Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will be released on March 8 this year. Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film has Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead alongside Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor, Anubhav Singh Bassi and Rajesh Jais in key roles.
Mumbai: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor swept the Dadasaheb Phalke International film festival awards 2023, held at a five-star hotel in Mumbai on Monday.
Alia won the best actress award for portraying the iconic character Gangubai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, while Ranbir was named the best actor for ‘Brahmastra’.
Ranbir was not present at the occasion. Alia received the award on his behalf. Varun Dhawan won the Critics best actor award for ‘Bhediya’. Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ was awarded the Best film award. For this film, Anupam Kher received the award of most versatile actor of the year.
It’s a proud moment for Neetu Kapoor as two awards came to her home. Taking to Instagram, Neetu shared the screenshot of recipients on her story.
Alia posed with her trophy and shared it on her Instagram story.
Varun Dhawan has also posted glimpses from the night and his award on his story.
