Janasena, BJP will strive for YSRCP-free Andhra: Pawan Kalyan

    [ad_1]

Amaravati: The Janasena and BJP will strive with the joint objective of achieving a YSRCP-free Andhra Pradesh, said actor-politician Pawan Kalyan after a two-day tour of Delhi in which he held meetings with senior saffron party leaders.

Kalyan noted that he held multi-pronged deliberations with BJP president J P Nadda on how to dethrone the YSRCP from ruling the southern state, whose pictures were released on Wednesday.

Spanning 45 minutes, the brainstorming session on Tuesday night with the BJP chief was also attended by the actor’s aide Nadendla Manohar and BJP AP in-charge V Muraleedharan.

“We deliberated on the corruption and atrocities of YSRCP leaders. We will make sure anti-YSRCP votes are not lost,” he observed.

However, the actor and politician clarified that political alliances did not come up for discussion during the meeting, though some strategising was fine-tuned on how to build both the opposition parties at the grassroots level and wrest political power ultimately in AP.

Janasena has one MLA in the state assembly. Andhra Pradesh is expected to go to polls by middle of 2024.

Amaravati: Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday met BJP national President J. P. Nadda in New Delhi but said more talks were required to decide on the electoral alliance for the next year’s elections in Andhra Pradesh.

On the second day of his visit to the national capital, the Jana Sena Party (JSP) leader met Nadda and discussed the latest political situation in Andhra Pradesh. JSP Political Affairs Committee Chairman Nadendla Manohar was also present.

After the meeting, Pawan Kalyan told media persons that from the beginning, they were looking for stability with regard to Andhra Pradesh. He said it would be difficult to say at this stage to what extent they have clarity with the BJP. He, however, said they were moving ahead with the goal of coming to power.

“Our agenda is a YSRCP-free Andhra Pradesh. BJP’s agenda is also the same. We discussed the issue of making Andhra Pradesh YSRCP-free from all angles,” he said.

Pawan Kalyan hoped that the talks he held with the BJP leaders during the last two days would yield good results in future.

The JSP leader said there would be a plan to free people of Andhra Pradesh from the rule of the YSRCP. He said their party’s preference is to see that anti-YSRCP votes are not divided.

Pawan Kalyan said JSP was trying to strengthen itself and BJP should take organisational decisions to strengthen itself. He said he discussed with Nadda the anti-constitutional rule, corruption, and clashes in Andhra Pradesh.

The JSP leader is likely to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah and some other leaders on Wednesday.

People watching bureaucrats behaving like YSRCP workers: Pawan Kalyan

    [ad_1]

Amaravati: Actor politician Pawan Kalyan on Sunday asked bureaucrats in Andhra Pradesh to take seriously the comments made by former Supreme Court judge Justice Gopal Gowda on the YSR Congress Party’s “unruly governance”.

The Jana Sena leader tweeted that people are watching the bureaucrats behaving like workers of the ruling party.

“People at the highest level are very closely watching each and every bureaucrat who’s behaving like a YCP Karyakartha,” he said.

“Karma is the universal law of cause and effect. You reap what you sow. Hope every bureaucrat who’s blindly supporting the YCP would understand the concept called karma,” wrote Pawan Kalyan.

He also shared a video of Justice Gopal Gowda’s comments about violation of rule of law in the state.

Referring to the land pooling for Amaravati, the retired Supreme Court judge stated that there was breach of contract entered with the farmers of Amaravati for development of the state capitall.

Justice Gowsa had also stated that there was denial of fundamental rights in the case of Amaravati farmers protesting against the move to shift the capital. As many as 307 cases were foisted against farmers in an arbitrary exercise of power. He also mentioned brazen loot of natural resources and the curbs on activities of opposition parties.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan has greeted former Supreme Court judge Justice S. Abdul Nazeer on his appointment as the new Governor of the state.

The Jana Sena leader noted that Justice Nazeer delivered several crucial judgments as a Supreme Court judge and brought honour to the position of judge by delivering unbiased judgments with the principles of framework of the Constitution.

“I hope that Justice Abdul Nazeer who had observed the present Indian society from the position of justice may be well aware of the situations prevailing in Andhra Pradesh. I wish he would instil the Constitution’s spirit in the State with his vast experience as a judicial expert,” Pawan Kalyan said in a statement.

At 17, Pawan Kalyan wanted to kill himself with Chiranjeevi’s revolver

Hyderabad: “My struggles with depression were overwhelming, but I fought through it,” says Tollywood‘s ‘Power Star’ Pawan Kalyan in the upcoming episode of ‘Unstoppable 2 with NBK.

The highly anticipated finale is set to premiere on February 10 on the Telugu OTT platform aha. The first part of the episode had set a record of sorts with the highest number of app downloads in the first five minutes of its launch.

Continuing his candid conversation with Nandamuri Balakrishna, the star better known as NBK, Pawan Kalyan looked back at his battles with depression, including a moment in his youth when he considered taking his own life.

“I have asthma and felt isolated due to frequent hospitalisation. Therefore, I’m not much of a social person. At 17, the pressure of exams only added to my depression, and I remember planning to take my own life using the licensed revolver of my eldest brother (Chiranjeevi) when he was not in the house,” Pawan Kalyan recalled.

Timely intervention from his elder brother (Nagababu) and sister-in-law (Surekha) saved him in the nick of time.

“My brother (Chiranjeevi) told me, ‘Just live for me. If you don’t do anything, that’s fine. But please live.’ From then on, I taught myself and found solace in reading books, practising Carnatic music, martial arts, and other pursuits,” Pawan Kalyan said.

Today, Pawan Kalyan is a source of inspiration for many, having channeled his struggles into a successful acting and political career. “Don’t compare yourself to others. Compete only with yourself,” Pawan Kalyan said, adding: “Knowledge and success come with hard work, and what we endure today will shape our tomorrow. Be the best version of yourself.”

  • Jagan richest CM in country facing graft charges: Pawan Kalyan

Jagan richest CM in country facing graft charges: Pawan Kalyan

    [ad_1]

Amaravati: Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday made a scathing attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, terming him the richest Chief Minister in the country facing graft charges.

The Jana Sena Party (JSP) leader ridiculed the Chief Minister’s recent remark that there is a class war going on in the state between the poor and the capitalists.

In a series of tweets laced with sarcasm, Pawan hit out at Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Pawan remarked that it is an irony that the richest CM in India with graft charges, who encourages bauxite mining in Araku, talks about ‘Class War’ like Comrades Charu Mazumdhar, omrade Tarimela NagiReddy, and Pucchalipalli Sundarayya.

“Oxymoron (Noun) – Meaning – A Combination of Contradictory words. Ex – Andhra Pradesh is a State with Poor People run by the Richest CM of the Country Trivia – Our CM’s wealth is more than those of all the other CMs combined; AP CM, A “CLASS” apart!” was how Pawan Kalyan began his series of tweets.

“In Andhra Pradesh there are no Classes, All People have been made as Slaves to the Fiefdom of YCP. From Land to Sand, From Liquor to Mines, from Forests to Hills, From Paper to Red Sandalwood every penny generated from AP is in the hands of the Richest CM, Truly CLASSic!,” he wrote.

“YCP made the Poor in AP to remain content with mediocrity; their lives, dignity, hardwork are sold out for few hundreds of doles Middle Class is the most neglected in AP; YCP treats them as TAX Paying Mute Servants The Investors exit AP This is YCP’s “Master – CLASS”!,” went on the actor politician.

“Who needs Davos when YCP can bring the galaxy of investments to Andhra; Our IT and Industries Minister has already inaugurated Noodles Centre and Chai Points, now only waiting for the IT Companies to be set up. Another CLASS Act!,” the JSP leader taunted minister Gudivada Amarnath.

The minister hit back at Pawan, making some personal attacks on him to cite some examples of oxymoron.

“Hope you or someone around you with an elementary knowledge of economics will be able to explain: 1) How was Andhra Pradesh able to grow its GSDP at 11.43% in FY22 – faster than any other state in the country? 2) How did Andhra Pradesh jump nine positions in per capita income levels, from 18th all India in 2019 to 9th in 2021? 3) How did our state top the Ease Of Doing Business rankings for 3 years in a row?,” tweeted the minister.

“These are statistics that central government datasets cite, and a reality that all of Andhra Pradesh’s people toiled to realise. Are you discrediting the truth and their hard work with your baseless allegations and questions?” he added.

  • Pawan Kalyan warns against demands to further divide Andhra Pradesh

Pawan Kalyan warns against demands to further divide Andhra Pradesh

    [ad_1]

Amaravati: Jana Sena Party (JSP) President Pawan Kalyan on Thursday warned leaders against speaking for separate statehood to North Andhra and Rayalaseema regions of Andhra Pradesh.

The actor-politician said that if someone speaks in separatist tones to split the state further, they would not see another extremist like him.

In his address at the Republic Day celebrations at the party office near Mangalagiri in Guntur district, he warned the leaders that if they speak of dividing the state further, this would have serious consequences.

Pawan Kalyan said it was unfortunate that Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao proposed statehood for the North Andhra districts while former minister Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy wanted a separate Rayalaseema state.

He asked these leaders to introspect what they had done for their respective regions, and explain how new states would help in achieving development.

The JSP leader alleged that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) was stoking regional feelings to achieve its political objectives.

He exhorted people to raise a banner of revolt against the “draconian” government of the YSRCP by drawing inspiration from the youth of Telangana who had fought for separate state and achieved it in spite of many difficulties.

The actor told the partymen that he had not entered politics to become Chief Minister overnight. Stating that he has an ideology for the next 25 years, he made it clear that it will not change once in five years for elections.

He observed that the people of Andhra Pradesh were apparently obsessed with their castes more than the common good, which was the reason for other states stealing a march on it.

He alleged that law and order deteriorated due to the inefficiency of the government. He said the government ensured that no one dared to question its policies and actions by implicating people, mainly leaders of the opposition parties, in false cases.

He alleged that YSRCP cadres were behind the arson that had taken place in Amalapuram over the naming of Konaseema district after B.R. Ambedkar. It was a conspiracy to derive political mileage by driving a wedge between various castes, but nobody knew about the fate of this case, he said.

Pawan slammed Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for having no confidence in the state police. He said nothing has so far happened in the Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy murder and the infamous ‘Kodi Kathi’ case.

Vivekananda Reddy, a former minister and uncle of Jagan Mohan Reddy, was murdered just before the 2019 elections.

‘Kodi Kathi” case relates to the attack on Jagan Mohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam Airport in 2018 by a youth with a knife used in cockfights.

JSP’s main objective is to end ‘devil’s rule’ in Andhra Pradesh: Pawan Kalyan

    [ad_1]

Vijayawada: Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday said that ending the “devil’s rule” in Andhra Pradesh is the main objective of his Jana Sena Party (JSP)

After performing a special puja for his campaign vehicle ‘Varahi’ at the Kanaka Durga temple, he told mediapersons that from today onwards, “Varahi’s goal is to end the devil’s rule in the state”.

Terming the rule of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) as devil’s rule, he said that his foremost responsibility is to end it.

Accompanied by Nadendla Manohar and other JSP leaders, Pawan Kalyan participated in various rituals conducted by the priests.

Large number of JSP workers and Pawan Kalyan’s fans had gathered at the temple to welcome him.

The JSP leader, who performed puja for the campaign vehicle at two temples in Telangana on Tuesday, said that the people of two Telugu states should live with unity and develop and prosper.

After the puja, Pawan left for the JSP office at Mangalagiri in Varahi. A large number of people had gathered enroute to catch a glimpse of the actor.

His supporters showered petals on him and welcomed him with huge garlands. The procession led to a long traffic snarl on the Prakasam barrage.

He is scheduled to address party workers at the JSP office later in the day.

Gearing up for the 2024 electoral battle in Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan had unveiled the specially designed vehicle last month which is equipped with high-security features and also has a public address system as well as CCTV cameras.

The four-wheeler will be used by the JSP leader to campaign across Andhra Pradesh, where elections are due in April-May 2024.

Power star, as the actor is popularly known, had planned to launch the state-wide tour after Dussehra but the same has been postponed and he is now likely to embark on a visit in next few weeks.

Telangana: Pawan Kalyan performs puja of his campaign vehicle at Kondagattu temple

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Actor politician Pawan Kalyan performed a special puja for his campaign vehicle ‘Varahi’ at Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple in Telangana on Tuesday.

Jana Sena Party (JSP) leader had darshan at the famous temple at Kondagattu in Jagtial district. Subsequently, a group of priests performed the vahana puja of the special campaign vehicle. After the rituals, the actor politician launched the vehicle.

A large number of Pawan Kalyan’s fans and JSP supporters had gathered on the occasion.

They garlanded the Tollywood actor, who greeted the well wishers with folded hands from an open-top vehicle.

Earlier, the JSP leader left Hyderabad for Kondagattu in a huge convoy. He is scheduled to meet JSP leaders in Telangana at a resort near Nachupalli in the evening. He will then reach Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Kshetram at Dharmapuri town to launch the darshan of 32 Narasimha Swamy khsetras.

The actor has sentimental attachment to the region as he had a narrow escape during the election campaign in 2009 in Karimnagar district when a high tension wire fell on his vehicle. He firmly believes that he survived because of the blessing of Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy and hence decided to launch the important programme from this temple.

Gearing up for the 2024 electoral battle in Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan had last month unveiled a specially designed vehicle named ‘Varahi’. The campaign vehicle is equipped with high-security features. It has a public address system and CCTV cameras.

The vehicle has been designed in a garage in Hyderabad. “Varahi is ready for election battle,” the Tollywood actor had tweeted.

The JSP leader inspected the vehicle, which resembles a military bus, during a trial run in Hyderabad. He had discussed various features of the vehicle with technical experts and suggested a few modifications.

The four-wheeler will be used by the JSP leader to campaign across Andhra Pradesh, where elections are due in April-May 2024.

Power star, as the actor is popularly known, had planned to launch the state-wide tour after Dasara but the same has been postponed and he is now likely to embark on a visit in next few weeks.

However, a row had erupted over the colour of the vehicle after an official of Andhra Pradesh transport department had stated that Pawan Kalyan is not permitted to drive the olive green vehicle.

The official said under the Motor Vehicle Act, olive green colour should not be used for any private vehicle except for Army personnel.

Pawan Kalyan, who is an ally of BJP, is working to cobble up a grand alliance against the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). He is keen to have alliance with BJP and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to avoid a split of anti-incumbency.
