Hyderabad: Battery-swapping technology company, RACEnergy has entered into a partnership with Hala Mobility, a multi-modal ride-sharing platform to deploy a fleet of 2000 electric two-wheelers.

This fleet which will be utilised for delivery services across India will have Phase I of the rollout to begin in July.

Electric two-wheelers are forerunners in the EV industry in India, with a massive 305 percent growth in sales recorded last year.

Utilising this large market of vehicles, the partnership will propel the adoption of clean mobility in the country while RACEnergy has completed 2.5 million green kilometres and does 500 swaps on its network daily.

Both companies share the goal of making e-mobility more accessible to the public through user-friendly and cost-effective technology.

RACE’s dense battery swapping network established in the city and the lightweight interoperable

“With RACE’s impressive advancements, such as their lightning-fast 4-second swapping time and an extensive network of swap points, users are provided with a better vehicle range, we are confident that we will be able to make electric vehicles not only accessible but also convenient for all to use.” added Srikanth.

  • Tejashwi to join ED probe in ‘land for job’ case today

Tejashwi to join ED probe in ‘land for job’ case today

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav is likely to join on Tuesday the Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe in connection with the alleged land for job matter involving his father and former Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and other family members.

Tejashwi is likely to join the probe by 11 a.m. Earlier, he was questioned the CBI in the same matter on March 25.

On the same day (March 25) his sister and Rajya Sabha Member Misa Bharti was questioned by the ED.

    MS Education Academy

In March, the ED had come up on record saying unaccounted cash of Rs 1 crore, besides gold and incriminating documents were recovered during the raids which were conducted at 24 locations in Delhi, Mumbai, Patna and Ranchi based on on the specific intelligence inputs.

The ED had said that they detected around Rs 600 crore, which were Proceeds of Crime (POC), in the form of immovable assets of Rs 350 crore and transactions of Rs 250 crore routed through various benamidaars.

The ED said that PMLA investigation conducted so far has revealed that several pieces of land at prominent locations in Patna and other areas were illegally acquired by the family of Lalu Prasad in lieu of jobs provided in Railways. The current market value of these land parcels is more than Rs 200 crore.

According to ED, several benamidars, shell entities and beneficial owners for these lands have been identified.

“A property situated at D-1088, New Friends Colony, Delhi (registered in the name of A B Exports Private Limited, a company owned and controlled by Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and family) was shown to have been acquired at a value of mere Rs 4 lakh, while the present market value of the property is approximately Rs 150 crore,” the ED claimed.

An ED official said: “Huge amount of cash were infused in purchasing this property and few Mumbai-based entities, dealing in the gems and jewellery sector were used to channel ill-gotten proceeds of crime in this regard.”

“The property has been though, on paper declared as office of A B Exports Private Limited and A K Infosystems Pvt Ltd, is being exclusively used as residential premises by Tejashwi. During the searches, Tejashwi was found to be staying at this house and was found to be using this house as his residential property,” the ED alleged.

The official said that their investigation has found that four parcels of lands “acquired by the family of Lalu Yadav in just Rs 7.5 lakhs from poor Group-D applicants were sold to Syed Abu Dojana, Ex-RJD MLA by Rabri Devi with huge gains at Rs 3.5 crore in a collusive deal”.

The ED said that their investigation has further revealed that a major portion of the amount thus received, was transferred to the account of Tejashwi.

“Investigations revealed that in a similar fashion, lands were taken from several poor parents and candidates in lieu of Group D jobs in the Railways. It has been revealed during the investigation that in many Railways Zones, more than 50 per cent of recruited candidates were from Lalu Yadav families’ constituencies,” the ED said.

Further investigation into the case is on.

  • Nitish refuses to join issue with Pawar on Adani

Nitish refuses to join issue with Pawar on Adani

    [ad_1]

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday refused to join the issue with NCP president Sharad Pawar, who has caused a flutter with a contrarian stance on the opposition’s demand for a JPC probe into allegations against the Adani Group.

The JD(U) supreme leader, whose party, in Parliament, has been supporting the demand for a joint parliamentary committee probe, however, did not seem impressed with the Maratha strongman’s preference for an investigation by a “Supreme Court-appointed Committee”.

“I learnt about it from the media”, quipped the Bihar CM when he was asked about the stance adopted by Pawar, whom he had met last year as part of efforts to galvanize parties opposed to the BJP.

    MS Education Academy

“It is for him (Pawar) to elaborate on what he has said. Different people have different opinions”, added Kumar, who had by his side JD(U) national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan, the Munger MP who was among those in news for outbursts on the Adani issue during the recently held Parliament session.

In an interview with NDTV, Pawar came out in support of the Adani Group and criticised the narrative around the US-based Hindenburg Research’s report on the conglomerate.

Pawar said he favoured a Supreme Court committee to probe allegations against the Adani Group, since the ruling party would have a majority in the JPC based on numerical strength in Parliament and this would lead to doubts on such an investigation.

The Adani Group has denied the fraud and manipulation charges made by Hindenburg Research against its companies that triggered an unprecedented stock crash.

Kumar, who was attending an ‘Iftar’ hosted here by his party, was also asked about the recent communal riots in Sasaram and Bihar Sharif towns.

“The administrative machinery is at work in both places. Those who have suffered losses of any type will be provided help and relief,” Kumar said.

  • Telangana: Sharmila invites other parties to join hands against BRS

Telangana: Sharmila invites other parties to join hands against BRS

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Yuvajana Sramika Rythu (YSR) Telangana party chief Y S Sharmila on Sunday said that there is a historic necessity to set aside political differences and demand justice from the insincere and insensitive KCR-led state government that failed to release job notifications in the last nine years.

Sharmila wrote to opposition party leaders of Telangana requesting for a joint fight against the government for the sake of the unemployed youth.

The letters were addressed to Revanth Reddy (Congress), Bandi Sanjay Kumar (BJP), Kasani Gnaneshwar (TDP), Kodandaram (Telangana Jana Samithi), Manda Krishna Madiga (Mahajana Socialist Party), Tammineni Veerabhadram (Communist Party of India (Marxist)), Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao (Communist Party of India), Shanker Goud (Janasena), and Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM).

    MS Education Academy

In her letter, she said, “Your party’s fight against KCR government’s attitude towards the unemployed is commendable. Added to his failures is the TSPSC paper leakage scam that has derailed the hopes of the youth who were waiting for the notification for ages.”

“Your fight in this direction has been crucial and we always extend our solidarity. While we do this, we also feel the time has come where we all join together and form a Joint Action Committee to wage an intense battle against the BRS rule,” said Sharmila.

She said that while the opposition parties were fighting individually so far, starting now the parties must join hands for the future of the state and its youth.

“From Biswal Committee’s recommendation to fill up 1.91 lakh vacancies, to ensuring fair investigation in the TSPSC paper leak, together we have to put pressure for the sake of the youth whose sacrifices had paved the way for the formation of Telangana,” she wrote in her letter.

  • Finland to join NATO on Tuesday

Finland to join NATO on Tuesday

    [ad_1]

Finland will formally become a full-fledged NATO ally on Tuesday, the alliance’s Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said Monday.

“This is an historic week,” the NATO chief told reporters. “Tomorrow, we will welcome Finland as the 31st member of NATO, making Finland safer and our alliance stronger.”

A ceremony marking Finland’s accession is set to take place Tuesday afternoon.

“We will raise the Finnish flag for the first time here at the NATO headquarters,” Stoltenberg said, adding: “It will be a good day for Finland’s security, for Nordic security, and for NATO as a whole.”

The move comes after Hungary and Turkey ratified Finland’s membership bid last week, removing the last hurdles to Helsinki’s accession.

Sweden’s membership aspiration, however, remains in limbo as Budapest and Ankara continue to withhold support.

Speaking ahead of a meeting of NATO foreign ministers, Stoltenberg reiterated that he believes Stockholm is still on its way to ultimately joining the alliance as well.

“All allies,” he said, “agree that Sweden’s accession should be completed quickly.”

At their meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday, ministers will discuss the alliance’s defense spending goals and future relationship with Kyiv.

They will also attend a session of the NATO-Ukraine Commission together with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and meet with partners from Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea.

In his press conference, the NATO chief also addressed multiple challenges facing the transatlantic alliance, including Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent announcement that Russia will deploy tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus.

Putin’s announcement is “part of a pattern of dangerous, reckless nuclear rhetoric” and an effort to use nuclear weapons as “intimidation, coercion to stop NATO allies and partners from supporting Ukraine.”

“We will not be intimidated,” the NATO boss said.

The alliance “remains vigilant, we monitor very closely what Russia does,” he said. “But so far,” he added, “we haven’t seen any changes in their nuclear posture” that require any change in NATO’s nuclear stance.

In a statement Monday, the Finnish president’s office said that, “Finland will deposit its instrument of accession to the North Atlantic Treaty with the U.S. State Department in Brussels on Tuesday” before the start of NATO foreign ministers’ session.

Sanna Marin, the prime minister when Finland applied to join NATO, suffered defeat in a national election on Sunday. Her Social Democrats finished third, with the center-right National Coalition Party coming out on top.
