Chairperson J&K Waqf Board, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Saturday placed thirty one Waqf employees under suspension for dereliction of duties at several shrines of District Srinagar.
According to Asian News Hub (ANH), it has been learnt that several employees were found unauthorisedly absent when the chairperson carried out the surprise inspection, however, majority of the employees were suspended for their failure to maintain cleanliness at the shrines, mosques & in associated Sanitary Complexes, Ablution points.
The action was taken after Dr Darakhshan visited the shrines of Makhdoom Sahab, Aasari Shareef Hazratbal, & Naqshband Sahib Srinagar.
Tehsildar J&K Waqf Board has been directed to conduct an enquiry into the matter & submit report within three days to the Chairperson for further action.

Objective:

Eligibility
» Individuals living within the operational area of the branch. Preference be given to the Women beneficiaries & the ex-servicemen drawing pension through our Bank; » The Farmers, Self Help Groups, Joint Farmers Groups are eligible to avail loan under the Scheme; & » The identified beneficiaries should have necessary skill/ training to manage the dairy unit.
Age Criteria
Minimum: 18 years at the time of loan application; & Maximum: 70 years at the time of loan maturity.
Unit Size
Minimum Two to Maximum Ten milch animals.
Margin
For Loans upto Rs.4.00 lakh: 10% For Loans above Rs.4.00 lakh: 20%
Security:
For loans up to Rs.3.00 lakh Primary: Hypothecation of animals to be purchased and misc. fixed assets. Collateral: 1. Two third party guarantees of sufficient net means acceptable to the bank. 2. Negative Lien of immovable property (including the shed to be constructed with land underneath) not less than the loan amount
For loans above Rs.3.00 lakh Primary: Hypothecation of animals to be purchased and misc. fixed assets. Collateral: 1. Guarantee of two persons having sound financial net means, good for loan amount and acceptable to the bank. 2. Mortgage of immovable property (including the shed to be constructed with land underneath) not less than the loan amount.
Repayment Period
The repayment period has been fixed as 6 years. The loan will be recovered in 69 equal monthly installments starting after initial gestation period of three months from the purchase of 1st lot of animals.

For purchases of fresh Two wheelers i.e. Scooters, Scooties, Motor Cycles, Mopeds, Battery-Operated Scooters etc of any make and model.

Persons engaged in Agricultural and allied activities.
Students with a parent (Mother or father or both) as Co-borrower. Income of both the father and mother can be considered for arriving at quantum of finance and repaying capacity.
Housewives aged 18 years & above, with spouse as Co-borrower. Income of the spouse shall be considered for finance.
Minimum employment
(Applicant/Co-borrower): The applicant must have been in current employment for a period not less than 6 months or must have a business standing of at least 1 years.
Employees on contractual basis in Government / Semi-Government undertakings, Autonomous bodies & public Sector undertakings shall also be eligible, if they have been in current contractual job for a period not less than 1 year and the remaining contract period is longer than the chosen repayment period.

Minimum age of applicant/co-borrower: 18 years
(16 years for purchase of scooter having engine capacity below 55CC).
Maximum age of applicant at loan maturity: 65 years.

Who can open an account under Smart Saver Deposit Scheme of J&K Bank? Accounts under this scheme can be opened by:
Individuals, singly or joint, and HUF (Hindu Undivided Families) shall be eligible to open Smart Saver accounts linked with savings bank accounts.
Individuals, Sole Proprietorship, HUF, partnership firms and limited companies shall be allowed to open smart saver account linked with current accounts.
What are the tenures for which the accounts can be opened? You can open an account for the following tenures:
Core Deposit: 1 year to 10 years.
Linked Deposits: 180 days.
What are the value additions of this scheme?
The product provides both liquidity as well as high returns through Auto Sweep and Reverse Sweep.
Under Auto Sweep, the amount in the operative account beyond the threshold minimum balance (minimum floor balance) is auto swept to form linked term deposits.
Under this facility, the deposit amount in the linked Smart Saver Term Deposits (not the Core Deposit) is available for clearing of debit instruments (cheques, standing instructions, ATM transactions, etc) in case the balance in the operative account is not sufficient.
The Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari has appealed the people, government departments and others not to hire any private vehicles as Taxi that doesn’t have a commercial permit.
In this regard, RTO, Kashmir, has issued a public notice, a copy of which is in possession of Asian News Hub (ANH).
“Multiple complaints have been registered in this office claiming that some private vehicles are being used as Taxis, including by the government departments,” the notice reads.
It added that Section 66 of the Central Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 provides that ‘no owner of a motor vehicle shall use or permit the use of the vehicle as a transport vehicle in any public place whether or not such vehicle is actually carrying any passengers or goods, save or accordance with the conditions of a permit granted or countersigned by a Regional or State Transport Authority or any prescribed authority authorizing him the use of the vehicle in that place in the manner in which the vehicle is being used’.
Section 53 of the Central Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, inter alia, also provides for suspension of Registration Certificate if there are reasons to believe that a vehicle has been, or is being, used for hire or reward without a valid permit,” it said.
It added that accordin g to norms, all outsourced vehicles used by the government departments are required to be registered in commercial category.
“Now, therefore, this is for notice of the general public, all government departments, PSUs, Banks, Educational Institutions and individuals not to hire any private vehicles as a Taxi and not to enter into any commercial contract with any vehicle owner for a vehicle that does not have a Commercial permit and that does not sync with the stated law and rules under the MVA, 1988. In particular, the Drawing and Disbursing Oficers are advised not hire any private vehicle that is not registered under commercial category. Strict action will be taken in case of violation in this regard,” the notice added.
SBI Change ATM Withdraw Process: State Bank of India has now changed the method of withdrawing cash from ATM. Now SBI has started OTP service to withdraw cash from ATM.
The bank has made this big change to protect its customers from fraud. Soon this rule will be seen applicable on SBI ATMs. This rule will act as an additional safeguard against unauthorized transactions.
According to the bank, while completing the transaction, the bank customers will have to share the OTP while withdrawing cash from the ATM, so that it is ensured that the ATM user is the right user. OTP is a system-generated four-digit number that the bank will send to the customer’s registered mobile number. This OTP will authenticate the cash withdrawal and will be valid for only one transaction.
OTP cash withdrawal started from January 1, 2020
The country’s largest lending bank SBI had started OTP-based cash withdrawal services from January 1, 2020. SBI has been creating awareness about ATM frauds through social media and other platforms from time to time. It is appealing to all its customers to avail the service.
OTP will be required in transactions of 10 thousand or above
Now this service will come in handy for SBI customers at the time of withdrawing cash from ATMs. SBI made these rules in view of the increasing fraud, cyber crime. Let us tell you that customers withdrawing Rs 10,000 or more in a single transaction from SBI ATMs will require OTP to complete the transaction.

If a card holder has a plot / flat or house of 100 square meters, four wheeler / tractor, arms license, family income more than two lakhs in the village and three lakhs in the city, earned from his own income, then such people can get their Ration card will have to be surrendered in Tehsil and DSO office.
The government will take legal action, as per the rules of the government, if the ration card holder does not surrender the card, then the card of such people will be canceled after investigation. Along with this, legal action can also be taken against that family. Not only this, since the time he is taking ration from such people, ration will also be recovered.
