On women’s international day, Baramulla’s deputy commissioner, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar on Wednesday said that the the administration would ensure safe transportation for the women especially the college going students and soon special services while as free environment would be ensured in public transport as well.
Sehrish as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) while addressing the gathering at Women’s Day function at GDC Sopore, said that under Nayi Soch they have started the project like One Stop Solution Center (Women Cell), women empowerment and drug related issues or whatever the atrocities the women are facing would be dealt.
Upon a query related to harassment of women especially college going students in transport service, the deputy commissioner said that they would ensure safe and smooth transportation so the outgoing girls understand the safe environment they would now be able to move in and around the district.
As of now, it’s not possible to start the women’s special services across the district, however those routes having students flow would get the special services soon, besides hassle free and safe environment for the women would be ensured in public transportation.
Sehrish also said that the women cell – where issues related to women are dealt with have so far received 200 cases since October and 90 percent of the cases have been resolved. “The pending cases were sort of divorce and property related issues of which the necessary legal proceedings have been initiated”, she added.

PURPOSE:
The finance under this scheme shall be available for purchase of an old car / jeep (not more than 5 years old) for personal use.
Eligibility:
i) Permanent employees of State/ Central Government, Semi-Government Undertakings, Autonomous bodies, Public Sector Undertakings, Private Companies or reputed establishments. ii) Businessmen, Professionals and self employed individuals. iii) Persons engaged in agriculture and allied activities. iv) Net annual income of Rs.1.00 lacs and above.
Age Criteria:
Salaried Class
The applicant should be atleast 21 years old at the time of applicant and below 58 years of age at the time of maturity of the loan. * For Institutions, where retirement age is is 60 years, the upper age limit shall be 60 years.
For others
Above 21 years at the time of application but below 65 at the time of the loan’s maturity
Maximum Loan Amount:
i) 2.5 times of the net annual income or 15 lacs, whichever is lower. If married, the spouse’s income can also be considered provided the spouse guarantees the loan. Loan amount for used vehicles shall be subject to a maximum limit of 15 lacs. ii) The number of vehicles to be sanctioned to a single borrower under Car Finance (Used) at any point of time should not exceed more than 2 vehicles subject to maximum prescribed limit of 15.00 lacs.
Margin:
i) 25% for vehicles having age less than 3 years. ii) 30% for vehicles having age of 3 years and above up to 5 years.
Repayment period:
i) Maximum repayment period of 72 months for vehicles having age less than 3 years. ii) Maximum repayment period of 48 months for vehicles having age of 3 years & above to 5 years.
Security:
i) Primary: Hypothecation of vehicle to be purchased. ii) Collateral: Third Party Guarantee of two persons having sound financial net means good for the loan amount.
The scheme is launched to provide hassle free cash credit facility to Fair Price Shops. The facility under this scheme can be availed to meet working capital requirements for procuring the supplies –food grains and sugar from Assistant Director (Stores).

Requirements for IGNOU Scholarship Online Application
While submitting the online application for the IGNOU scholarship, the following requirements must be fulfilled:
Along with the application form, a passport size photograph, attested income certificate, community certificate, address proof, and Aadhar card copy has to be submitted.
Personal and educational details are asked in the scholarship form, so the applicant needs to enter them carefully.
The application form with any discrepancy will be rejected by the exam board of IGNOU for the scholarship.
The IGNOU scholarship form will be issued online on the official website. But, the candidates are advised to keep their hard copies for their future references.
The scholarship form must be submitted online before the last date. Besides this, the hard copy of the same must be submitted to the regional study center of IGNOU.
IGNOU Scholarship and Reimbursement of Fees Rules
At the time of admission, all the students have to submit the full fee to the IGNOU including reserved category students who are Physically Handicapped.
Reserved category students viz. SC, ST, and Physically Handicapped enrolled in any of the IGNOU programs are eligible for GOI scholarships, but only at the PG level.
These scholarship forms can be obtained from the Directorate of Social Welfare or the Office of the Social Welfare Officer of the concerned State Government. This is followed by submitting the filled-in form to them via the concerned Regional Director of IGNOU.
Besides this, the scholarship program of the National Centre for Promotion of Employment of Disabled People (NCPEDP) is also applicable for PG-level students of IGNOU.

Budgam, March 07: The Two employees working at the block development office at the Snoor Kalipora village in central Kashmir’s Budgam have been suspended by the authorities for releasing excess payment under MGNREGA scheme. An official from the Rural Development Department office Budgam told The Rising Kashmir that the two employees from the Block Development Office Snoor Kalipora have been suspended and an inquiry has been initiated against the verification of the payments that have been released under the “MGNREGA” Scheme. “Both the employees have been placed under suspension and attached to ACD Office Budgam,” the official said. He said that the inquiry committee has also been established in this regard and will submit the report to higher officials of the Rural Development Department Budgam.
