The Department of Ecology, Environment & Remote Sensing (DEERS) under the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a re-advertised recruitment notification for the position of Principal Project Associate. This recruitment is for a temporary/project-based role under the “Internal Monitoring of Wular Lake” project, sponsored by the Wular Lake Conservation and Management Authority. There is 1 vacancy for this position.
As per the official notification of JKDEERS Recruitment 2024, candidates must possess a Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in Environmental Science/Limnology/Hydrology, along with relevant work experience. The selected candidate will receive a monthly emolument of ₹49,000 plus HRA. The engagement is purely temporary for the project period (2024-25), which may be extended based on performance and fund availability.

General Conditions
- Candidates must be domicile of J&K.
- The engagement is temporary/project-based and does not confer any right to permanent employment.
- Candidates with experience in government projects should submit their experience certificates, countersigned by the concerned department.
- The engagement is for three months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier, and may be extended for one year based on satisfactory performance.
Selection Process of JKDEERS Recruitment 2024
The selection process includes:
- Application Screening: A screening committee will shortlist candidates based on their eligibility and experience.
- Proficiency Test and Interview:
- Proficiency Test: Maximum 70 marks.
- Interview: Maximum 30 marks.
