Admission Open in Handloom and Textile Technology (DHTT)

Applications are invited on prescribed format (as per Annexure -1) for selection of candidates for admission to First Year Diploma In Handloom and Textile Technology (DHTT) programme and Direct Second Year of Three Years Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology programme under Lateral Entry for the academic session 2023-24, at the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology,
Varanasi. The eligibility criteria and other details for admission to the Diploma Programme in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT) are given as under :

The candidates will undergo bridge courses for mathematics, Physics and Chemistry offered by IIHT, as per the guidelines.

Note :

In case of the Board having system of grading in 10th/ 12th Examination, the candidates must endorse the proof of details of marks with their applications form to enable the selection committee to prepare merit list which is prepared on the basis of marks secured.

Age Limit : 

The maximum age limit for the candidates belongs to all candidates belongs to all categories except SC/ST is 23 years for first year and 25 years for direct 2nd year. In respect of SC/ST candidates the maximum age limit is 25 years for 1st Year and 27 Years for direct 2nd year as on 01st July 2023.

Application complete in all respect along with self attested copies of requisite document shall be submitted in the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Jammu 3rd Floor, JLN Udhyog Bhawan, Rail Head Complex, Jammu 180011 or in the Office of Assistant Director Handloom of respective districts by or before 31/05/2023.
Self attested Document to be attached with Form : 

1. Copy of Educational Qualification Certificates.

2. Copy of Matriculation Certificate as DOB proof.

3. Copy of Domicile Certificate.

4. Copy of Aadhar Card.

5. Copy of Reservation Category Certificate, (if any)*

Any other relevant document.

No TA / DA will be given to candidates for attending the counseling at Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Varanasi.

If the candidate belongs to SC, ST, OBC, Weavers’ Community, Economically Weaker Section he/ she must submit self attested copy of the certificate from the Competent Authority with the application form, OBC issued not older than 3 years from the closing date of application, EWS issued not older than 1 year from the closing date of application, weaver Certificate should be issued not older
than 6 months)
