Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy denied the accusation, and U.S. officials said they had no advanced knowledge of the attacks. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that he’d take any claims coming from the Kremlin with a “large shaker of salt.”

“We don’t attack Putin or Moscow,” Zelenskyy told the Nordic broadcaster TV2 during a trip to Finland on Wednesday. “We fight on our territory. We’re defending our villages and cities. We don’t have enough weapons for these.”

Peskov reportedly said during a press conference earlier Thursday that “attempts to disown this, both in Kyiv and in Washington, are, of course, absolutely ridiculous. We know very well that decisions about such actions, about such terrorist attacks, are made not in Kyiv but in Washington.

“Kyiv only does what it is told to do,” Peskov said.

Kirby said on MSNBC that the U.S. doesn’t encourage or enable Ukraine to strike within Russian borders, saying that “we certainly don’t dictate the terms by which they defend themselves or the operations they conduct.”

Senior administration officials told POLITICO Wednesday they are working to confirm whether the suspected strike was ordered by Kyiv, conducted by a rogue pro-Ukraine group, or a false flag operation by Russia.

During a surprise trip to the Netherlands on Thursday, Zelenskyy reiterated his plea for a special tribunal to hold Putin accountable for war crimes.

“We all want to see a different Vladimir here in The Hague,” Zelenskyy said. “The one who deserves to be sentenced for these criminal actions right here, in the capital of international law.”

The International Criminal Court, which is based in the Hague, in March issued an international arrest warrant against Putin over the forced deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia since the war began. While the court doesn’t have the authority to prosecute the crime of aggression, Zelenskyy said the rules need to change.

“If we want true justice, we should not look for excuses and should not refer to the shortcomings of the current international law but make bold decisions that will correct that shortcomings that unfortunately exist in international law,” Zelenskyy said in a speech.

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Well known socialite and casino organiser Chikkoti Praveen, who was held in Thailand during a raid on an alleged illegal casino at a hotel in Chon Buri province of the country, said that he was ‘misinformed’ about the event.

“The organizers told me that it was a Poker tournament and international players were participating in the event. Within 15 minutes after we stepped inside the premises, the police raided the place,” Chikkoti Praveen told news reporters in Thailand where he was produced before the court along with other persons held in the case.

The Thailand police had caught 93 people – 83 Indians, six Thais and four Myanmar nationals. Some of the accused claimed that they were told by the organizers of the trip that gambling is legal in Thailand. “I know casinos are illegal in Thailand. In the invite extended to us, we were told it is poker tournament. Fee for participating in the event was paid by us for the event. The court let me off with a fine,” said Chikkoti Praveen.

The local media reported that more than 500 million Rupees, or about 200 million Baht, was gambled each day and the activities were ‘live streamed’ to India. “A Thai organizer of the gambling trip, “Sitranan”, reportedly admitted that she rented the hotel’s conference hall at a rate of 120,000 baht a day, as she insisted that the hotel has nothing to do with the gambling activities,” a report on ‘www.thaipbsworld.com’ stated.

Parveen, is a well-known figure in the elite circles in India. He is known for organising casinos in different countries including Nepal, Thailand and Malaysia. The Enforcement Directorate registered a case against him and investigating for money laundering.

  • No Shiv Sena worker involvement in Babri Masjid demolition, claims Maha minister

No Shiv Sena worker involvement in Babri Masjid demolition, claims Maha minister

    [ad_1]

Mumbai: Maharashtra minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Chandrakant Patil on Monday said not a single worker of the Shiv Sena was near the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya when it was brought down by the Bajrang Dal and Durga Vahini on December 6, 1992.

Patil, minister of higher and technical education in the Eknath Shinde government and a former Maharashtra BJP chief, made the comment while speaking to a regional news channel.

Incidentally, Shiv Sena founder late Bal Thackeray has often been quoted as saying that he was proud if any of his Sainiks took part in the demolition of the disputed structure.

“I was placed there by the Bajrang Dal for three-four months to facilitate kar sevaks arriving in Ayodhya. People participating were either from Bajrang Dal, VHP or Durga Vahini. Former Bihar state deputy CM (and senior BJP leader) Sushil Kumar Modi, legislator Harendra Kumar and I were given the task to manage the kar sevaks and ensure their safe passage,” Patil claimed.

“We three were working there as national general secretaries. The RSS’ strength was behind us but it did not participate openly. It had distributed its work to like minded organisations,” Patil claimed.

Patil further said Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut keeps talking about the Babri Masjid demolition, adding he wondered if the latter was even there at the temple town in Uttar Pradesh at the time.

He also took a swipe at Uddhav Thackeray for accusing Chief Minister Eknath Shinde of stealing the legacy of Bal Thackeray.

The late Shiv Sena founder was not the property of anyone and was someone who was hugely respected by the people, Patil added.

“Balasaheb is the property of all Hindus and everyone is free to use his name (legacy),” said Patil.

The Shiv Sena split in June last year after the rebellion by Shinde, who got the party name and ‘bow and arrow’ symbol, while Uddhav Thackeray’s faction was christened Shiv Sena (UBT) with a flaming torch as its symbol.

Telangana: Revanth alleges KTR aide’s involvement in TSPSC paper leak

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana unit Congress chief A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday alleged that the personal assistant of state minister for industries and information technology K.T. Rama Rao has played a key role in the question paper leak case that has rocked Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC)

He also alleged that KTR’s PA Tirupati has links with Rajasekhar Reddy, a contract employee of TSPSC and number two accused in the case.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president claimed that the paper leakage happened from KTR’s office.

He said the minister gave Rajasekhar Reddy a job in TSPSC on the recommendation of Tirupati.

Revanth Reddy, who is currently on Haath se haath jodo padyatra, sat on protest in Kamareddy district over the question paper leak.

He demanded the state government should immediately order a probe by a sitting judge of the High Court.

He also announced that he would take the issue of paper leakage to the High Court.

Stating that TSPSC employees are ineligible to attend the exams conducted by TSPSC, he wondered how 20 employees appeared in exams.

Praveen Kumar, an employee of the Commission, had appeared in the Group-I Prelims. He had scored 103 marks.

The Congress leader said in the past, TSPSC employee Rajinikanth was selected for Group-I post. He had secured fourth rank.

Revanth Reddy said that the probe should cover all those who scored more than 100 marks in Group-I Prelims. He said 100 candidates from one mandal scored more than 100 marks.

The TPCC chief said that there were irregularities in Group-I results in 2016. Madhuri, who had come from the US to write the exam, secured first rank, he said.

He also claimed that 25 candidates who wrote Group-II exam in one place secured jobs.

The TSPSC had conducted the examination on March 5 for 833 vacancies of Assistant Engineer, Municipal Assistant Engineer, Technical Officer, and Junior Technical Officer in various engineering departments. A total of 55,000 candidates had written the exam.

However, the Commission suspected leakage of the question paper and lodged a complaint with the police.

On March 13, police arrested nine persons including two employees of the TSPSC.

Following the arrest of the accused, the Commission cancelled the exam and also postponed other exams scheduled to be held later this month.

Amid doubts that the accused may have leaked question papers of some other exams, the Commission on Friday decided to cancel three other exams including Group I Prelims.

Nearly 2.86 lakh aspirants of Group I posts had appeared in Group-I exam conducted on October 16, 2022.

Hyderabad: 10 held for involvement in TSPSC question paper leak

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad:The Begum Bazaar police on Sunday took into custody 10 persons for their alleged role in the leak of the question paper of Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) exam for Town Planning Building Overseer scheduled to be held on Sunday.

The main kingpin of the case is identified as Praveen Kumar, personal assistant to the Secretary of the TSPSC head Anita Ramachandran. Praveen allegedly handed over the question paper to Renuka, a school teacher. Both of them know each other for long and the teacher sought help of Praveen because she needed the paper for a relative who is appearing for exam.

Praveen got the paper from the TSPSC office with the help of co-employees and handed over to Renuka. She sold it some people in Warangal.

“A few suspects were taken into custody for questioning in the case. Investigation is going on and details will emerge soon,” said DCP (south – west) Kiran Khare.

On coming to know about it and suspecting online hacking, the TSPSC postponed the exam and also the exam for the post of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon scheduled to be held on March 15 and 16.

Rep. George Santos said he is “innocent” in response to questions about his alleged involvement in a 2017 credit card skimming operation, CNN reported on Friday.

Santos, who also goes by Anthony Devolder, told reporters on Capitol Hill he “never did anything of criminal activity” and that he had “no mastermind event,” CNN reports.

  • “I Will Resign If Found…”, Says Pak PM Shahbaz Sharif On Allegations Of Involvement In The Attack On Imran Khan

“I Will Resign If Found…”, Says Pak PM Shahbaz Sharif On Allegations Of Involvement In The Attack On Imran Khan

    [ad_1]

Shahbaz Sharif, the prime minister of Pakistan, has stated that he is ready to resign if there is any evidence of the attack that would accuse him or the interior minister. Imran Khan’s claims were denied as baseless by Sharif. He said, “India is celebrating because the institution has been subjected to dirty and offensive attacks on social media,” according to reports.

In a dramatic addition, the prime minister says that God would protect his reputation and that he is offended by Imran Khan’s accusations.

Imran has been in turmoil for a very long period, and Pakistani politics have also been very turbulent. Imran was forced to resign as Pakistan’s prime minister a while back. Imran Khan was the target of gunfire in the interim. The injured man was Pakistan’s previous prime minister. During the Freedom Rally, Imran was the target of firing. In many different areas, there is a lot of pressure and rumour concerning who shot Imran that day. Imran Khan, however, has fueled new allegations that the Pakistani Prime Minister is responsible for the attack.

In a press conference in Lahore, Shahbaz said, ‘I request the Chief Justice of Pakistan to form a full court commission including senior and junior judges. Chief Justice (Umar Atta) Bandyal, I request you to constitute a full court commission. Will also send you a letter about this and I hope you will consider this request. If you do not respond to my request, such complaints will come again. He also said that if Imran Khan gives proof that I or the Home Minister or an army officer is involved in the conspiracy, then I will not be the Prime Minister from that moment. He said, ‘I will resign.’
