JKBOSE Change of Date of Examination of Class 11th Annual Regular 2023 from 16-04-2023 to 26-04-2023 Soft Zone Areas
JKBOSE Change of date of Examination of Higher Secondary Part 1st (Class 11th) Examination Soft Zone of UT of Jammu & Kashmir from 16-04-2023 to 26-04-2023.
It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that the date of examination of the subjects scheduled to be held on 16-04-2023 (Sunday) for Higher Secondary Part-1st (Class 11th) Annual (Regular) 2023 Soft Zone Areas of UT of J&K has been now re- scheduled, in view of the N.D.A examination to be conducted by U.P.S.C on the same date across the country. The examination of the subjects which were scheduled to be held on said date, i.e. Computer Science, Information Practices, Environmental Science, Functional English, Physical Education, Islamic Studies, Vedic Studies, Buddhist Studies, Travel, Tourism and Hotel Management, English Literature and Food Technology shall now be held on 26th of April, (Wednesday) 2023.

JKSSB: Important Update Regarding Document Verification of Candidates For Various Posts
Document Verification of candidates falling under consideration zone for the posts of Motor Vehicle Inspectors, Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspectors and Sub Motor Vehicle Inspectors (Transport Department), UT, Divisional Cadre Jammu and Kashmir, Item Nos. 86, 88, 89, 90, 92, 93 and 94, advertised vide Notification No. 04 of 2020 – Provision of Supplementary date – thereof.
All such candidates who were falling under consideration zone and called for Document Verification for the posts of Motor Vehicle Inspectors, Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspectors and Sub Motor Vehicle Inspectors (Transport Department), UT, Divisional Cadre Jammu and Kashmir, advertised vide Notification No. 04 of 2020, under Item Nos. 86, 88, 89,90, 92, 93 & 94, vide this office Notification No. JKSSB-LEG/344/2022-03 (248683), dated: 24-02-2023 and JKSSB-LEG/344/2022-03 (248683), dated: 02-03-2023,but could not appear before the Document Verification Committee(s) on 03-03-2023 due to various reasons, are hereby given last and final opportunity to appear before the Document Verification Committee(s) on 28-03-2023 (Tuesday) at Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board, Central Office, CPO Chowk, Panjtirthi, Jammu (Jammu based candidates) and at JKSSB Central Office, Zam Zam Building, Rambagh, Srinagar (Kashmir based Candidates) at 11:00 AM sharp, failing which no claim in this regard shall be entertained at any stage.

Applications on prescribed forms are invited from the domiciles of UT of J&K / Ladakh for determination of sports merit desirous to seek admission in NEET MD/MS/PG Diploma & MDS Courses for the session 2022-23 under Sports quota in terms of letter No: JKBOPEE/Exam10/2023 dated: 10-03-2023 from J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations.
The forms duly numbered are available on payment of Rs 200/- in the office of Sports Officer (K), J&K Sports Council, Polo Ground, Srinagar & Sports Officer (J) J&K Sports Council, New Indoor Sports Complex. M.A. Stadium, Jammu from 15-03-2023 to 25-03-2023 during office hours.
The candidate who fulfill the following qualification/condition as prescribed in Government order No: 808-GAD of 2008 dated: 17-06-2008, 946-GAD of 2008 dated: 15-07-2008, 1090-GAD of 2008 dated: 14-08- 2008 & 733-GAD of 2010 Dated: -24-06.2010 should only apply:-
i) A person who has represented India at the Olympic Games, Asian Games, SAARC Games, Common Wealth Games or other officially recognized Test Matches/World Cup Competitions in any of the Games/Sports mentioned below
Or ii) A person who has participated & secured one of the first three positions in the individual events or was a member of the team which obtained first, second or 3rd position or has participated twice or more in the same discipline in the National Championship in any of the Sports or Games as mentioned below.
The disciplines (Sports/Games) covered under the above rules are Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Swimming, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Tennis, Weight lifting, Wrestling (International Style), Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Judo, Shooting, Archery, Equestrian, Handball, Rowing, Roller/Ice Skating, Skiing, Squash, Billiards & Snooker, Chess, Golf, Kabaddi, Karate, Kayaking & Canoeing, Polo, Power lifting, Taekwondo, Yachting, Kho-Kho, Body Building, Ball Badminton, Bridge, Tenni-Koit, Carrom, Softball, Wushu, Sport Climbing, Thang-Ta, Base-Ball, and all other games falling within the purview of Indian Olympic Association and/or recognized by the Government of India.
The other terms & conditions as enclosed with the Application Form will also be applicable for determining the eligibility of the candidates for grant of sports category weightage. The last date of receipt of Applications is 27- 03-2023 during office hours in the office of the respective Sports Officers, Sports Council at both Divisions at New Indoor Sports Complex, M.A. Stadium, Jammu & Polo Ground playing field, Srinagar.

New Delhi: The freedom to speak and write the truth is “under threat”, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said on Tuesday and lamented that it is painful when important things and even poetry spoken in Parliament are expunged from records.
Speaking at the Lokmat National Conclave here, the leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha said that media is an important pillar of democracy but is facing suppression from the powers that be.
Noting that the Constitution guarantees the freedom of speech and expression to every Indian, he claimed that while a section of the media is fighting for this freedom, another section of media has “surrendered”.
“Today the freedom of speaking and writing the truth is under threat. Fake news, TRP scams, sensationalism and favouritism have affected the media’s image to an extent.
“In our parliamentary democracy, parliamentarians and the media have the right to ask questions, but when important matters spoken in Parliament are expunged from the records, then it pains us,” he said addressing the gathering at the event where he and other eminent parliamentarians were awarded the Lokmat Parliamentary award.
The Congress has been piqued over the Chair expunging the remarks made by Kharge and party leader Rahul Gandhi in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha respectively on the Adani issue during the first phase of the Budget session.
The party has alleged that the Opposition voices were being stifled.
“There are many big journalists who fearlessly opposed fascist, casteist forces and communalism, but are today looking weak. It is a matter of concern that out of 180 countries on freedom of media our ranking is at 150th,” the Congress chief said.
He claimed a section of the media was encouraging superstition and “questions on poverty and unemployment are vanishing”.
He said party leader Rahul Gandhi had carried out the Bharat Jodo Yatra but a section of the media “ignored” it.
He also said that the recent Congress’ Raipur plenary session which he chaired and was attended by over 10,000 leaders from across the country did not find any space in official channels including Sansad TV.
“Today there is a threat to the Constitution and democracy. We all are fighting it and the media has a significant role to play.
“Many mediapersons are good but their voice is not heard and are being arm-twisted and weakened,” he claimed while calling for strengthening the media.
The Congress, meanwhile, hailed Kharge for receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. “Congratulations on this remarkable achievement and unwavering commitment to the nation,” the party said on its Twitter handle.

JKSSB Important Notice Regarding Account Assistant Admit Cards
The Link for the downloading of Admit Cards for the post of Accounts Assistant Finance has been made live and is available on the official website www.jkssb.nic.in. A total of 80432 number of Admit Cards have been downloaded by the Candidates in the first 24 hours.
However, the Board has received few representations regarding, Application ID not being available with the candidates. The Board has already provided the FORGOT APPLICATION ID Option for addressing the issue. The following procedure shall be followed by such Candidates to retrieve the Application ID:
1. Visit the Direct Link Below
2. Click on the Link for Downloading Of Admit Cards.
3. Select Accounts Assistant in the Drop-Down Menu.
4. Click on FORGOT APPLICATION ID Option.
5. Select Accounts Assistant in the Drop-Down Menu.
6. Enter Father’s Name and Date of Birth in YYYYMMDD Format.
