The report says that the audience of Hyderabad is indulging in over 3 hours of OTT content every day, with weekends showing 10 percent higher viewership than weekdays.

For city dwellers, OTT viewing is predominantly a mobile experience, with more than half inclined to consume content on the go.

Speaking about the report, RMT’s chief executive officer, Srikant Rajasekharuni said, “OTT platforms have become an integral part of our daily lives, and this report provides valuable insights into the viewing habits of Hyderabad’s paid subscribers.”

Regarding preferred platforms, the report identified three segments – big tech platforms like Prime Video with 70 percent of users, followed by broadcast and regional platforms.

The report’s key audience is individuals who are quite active on the internet, spend money on internet subscriptions, and are primarily working.

The report shows that 77 percent of the audience who subscribe to OTT platforms in the city have an average total household income of approximately Rs 60000 per month.

Hyderabad’s under-26 population prefers watching their OTT shows alone as they tend to gravitate towards more personal and individualistic shows. More than half of the above 35 population of the city, that is 55 percent of them, show a stronger preference towards watching TV with family members.

The report also says that 62 percent of the audience have an active music streaming service, while cable usage was at 58 percent.

Known as the sunshine vitamin, vitamin D is essential to the growth, development, metabolism, immunity, bone health, and mental health of people. Its deficiency has been linked to health disorders such as prostate cancer, depression, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and rickets.

Vice President, Medical Affairs, Tata 1mg, Dr Rajeev Sharma said, “Changing food habits and an indoor lifestyle with inadequate exposure to sunlight have led to a drastic increase in cases of vitamin D deficiency.  The much higher prevalence in young adults can also be attributed to lower consumption of vitamin D-containing foods like fortified cereals and oily fish.”

“However, seasonal variations in exposure to sunlight can also be a likely explanation, especially during winters. Unspaced and unplanned pregnancies in women with dietary deficits can lead to worsening of vitamin D status in both mother and child,” he added.

Clinical Head, Tata 1mg Labs, Dr Prashant said, “Vitamin D levels should be checked regularly in cases of obesity, mal-absorption syndrome or softening of the bones (osteomalacia), or if the patient is getting treatment for TB. The levels can also be checked along with regular full-body checkups, which are recommended to be done every six months or at least once a year. Infants and children under the age of five, pregnant and breastfeeding women, teenagers and young women, people over the age of 65, and those with limited sun exposure are the most vulnerable to deficiency.”

The human skin hosts a type of cholesterol that functions as a precursor to vitamin D. When exposed to UV-B radiation from the sun, it turns into vitamin D. Having enough exposure to sunlight and consuming foods rich in the vitamin such as egg yolks, oily fish, red meat, and fortified foods can help prevent the deficiency.

  • ‘Biryani movie banaye,’ Hyderabadis react after watching SRK’s Pathaan

‘Biryani movie banaye,’ Hyderabadis react after watching SRK’s Pathaan

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: After creating a lot of buzz, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan was released on Wednesday across the globe. The actor made his comeback after a long gap of around four years and fans seemed excited after watching him in the Siddhart Anand’s spy- thriller.

King Khan along with the makers of the movie landed in controversy after YRF dropped the Besharam Rang track on its official YouTube channel. Few politicians and Hindu organisations were seeking a ban on the release of the movie but it was finally released in three languages globally.

The Siasat.com team visited various cinema halls across Hyderabad on Wednesday to know the reactions of the moviegoers. In our survey on the opening day, we found that various cinephiles praised both the actors and director of the movie. We have found people waiting in long queues outside cinema halls at various places.

During our exclusive visit to Prasads Multiplex at Necklace Road, we found people shouting ”Pathaan Zindabad” and fans lauded the performance of all actors in general but Shah Rukh Khan in particular. The cameo of Salman Khan in the movie also entertained the moviegoers.

Talking to Siasat.com, one fan said, ”The movie is awesome and I would recommend everyone to watch this movie. SRK has nailed it. He looks younger day by day,” adding ”Salman bhai’s entry was mind blowing.”

Another fan said, ”King is always King and SRK has proved it. Total paisa wasool. I appreciate Badshah ( Shah Rukh Khan) for his energy and acting skill.”

”Movie is beyond expectations. No one can compare SRK’s acting with anyone. I also admire the director. The screenplay of the movie is awesome. I love SRK,” said one of the female fans of Shah Rukh Khan after watching the movie.

Around 80 per cent of the fans rated it 5 while some 20 per cent rated it 4.5 out of 5. Overal, it seems like SRK has left no stone unturned to spread his magic and create ripples among audience.

Fans also lauded John Abrahim’s role. One of the fans said, ”John is my Jaan. Though he has been portrayed as the villain in the movie, he has really nailed it. SRK and Deepika Padukone also nailed it,” she added.

So, overall most of the people gave positive reviews and even some expressed their will to watch the movie again. Relevant to mention here that, SRK and team Pathaan did not promote the film on any TV reality show or anywhere else. SRK just connected with his fans on Twitter during AskSRK or AskMeAything sessions before the movie release. Despite being in controversy, it seems that the film is going to be a blockbuster.

If you have watched the movie, feel free to share your experience with us in the comments box below.
